She's not only fast but she has devilish precision and accuracy too. and stage charisma by buckets. And Miyu (bass) has to be incredibly talented to not been overshadowed by her. Love them.

Bucket Head was so impressed with Asterism that he played a couple of songs on their Album.

Hal-Ca's solo part is perhaps the most outstanding guitar music I've heard in recent years.

I heard this song for the first time about 18 months ago, I was at the gym and I just stopped, sat down, and literally had tears in my eyes. I was just in complete awe of how awesome the entire song is.
Just just played a live show in Japan and it’s on TH-cam parts 1-4. Look it up I think the guy that posted is called Chappy or chappie. It is just badass well put together.

She play guitar at age 10 and now she 19, her advice to beginner "always practice".

Yeah, they signed with Amuse, Inc. in early 2020.
Some fans thought that meant they would be pushed into a more commercial direction.
Instead, 'GUERNICA' and 'GUERNICA + a' are their most experimental releases so far.

I too love these kids they are freaking amazing, I don't think there is any other guitarist out there that is better than Hal-Ca and Miyo on that bass is just phenomenal with Mio carrying the entire song on the drums. It is a huge pleasure to hear these songs over and over. I proudly say I now have their entire collection and love it all. I know that there is a lot of awesome talent coming out of Japan but for me Lovebites, Asterism, and Mardelas are the complete package of pure awesome rock/metal no one else

That 7 string bass for Miyu is a custom made ESP (only for him at 17 y.o.) what does that say about his master class ability. Hal-Ca is 16 here and pounds that Yamaha/Pacific old Thrift Shop looking thing as always (takes a beating but keeps going) who says you need the best equipment to sound the best. I love these kids and for the last 5 years trying to get them some YT time (instrumental fusion of Metal/Hard Rock/Jazz with no vocalist) but it is an uphill battle. They are still a hidden gem and thank you for giving them more exposure that they need (It sure isn't talent that they lack). Poor Mio on drums is fantastic but has to keep these 2 beasts on track and on point in every song. Signed recently by Babymetal's label so maybe more exposure if they open for them (worry about being stuck with a vocalist but we will see how it goes). Hal-Ca has that Hendrix vibe on stage (born to be a Rock Star and eats it up) she is a real demon and force of nature on that ax. This band could be the next Cream (1966-68) but without the vocals we will see, their music is their vocals but that is the one thing holding them back (D_Drive another fantastic instrumental band with a wicked guitarist, Yuki have struggled to gains fans over a longer period as well). My rant "doesn't anyone listen to music anymore" Mozart/Bach would be lost on YT these days. BTW love the reaction and the joy of experiencing this great band. They are getting better with every new offering and next time they are in Tx don't you dare miss them cause soon it will be arenas and no more small clubs like this one.

Best power trio since Cream. Yes, Rush fans will argue, but give these kids three more years and they will be untouchable. And no, they don't need a vocalist.

I don't bother with "best," but they're easily up there with Cream and Rush in terms of playing talent. Asterism always amazes me and never bores me. Their lead singer is HAL-CA's guitar, Miyu's bass, or Mio's drums.

When they toured Texas, they did SRV tributes at each stop. Here is a compilation: th-cam.com/video/BA5hRhoO-6g/w-d-xo.html
And here is their set at SXSW: th-cam.com/video/xvz5PROrJJw/w-d-xo.html

This song has probably the best coda since Layla

Hal-Ca's melodies are enough for me. I think if they added a singer it would actually detract since Miyu and Hal-Ca would have to actually step back a bunch and that would totally ruin what they have.

I agree they don’t need a singer. Just like Steve Via and Joe Satriani.

Love your shout out to the drummer as I agree that he doesn't get enough attention. Obviously the front two are exceptional but I feel that the drummer gets a bit overshadowed. I'm an ex-drummer though, so I would say that! 😂

These young musicians are truly something to behold. You are right that they deserve far greater recognition. Perhaps with a big label behind them, Hal-Ca will be able to replace that beat up old Yamaha of hers and they might get to play in something that doesn't look like their Grandad's basement! Signing with Babymetal's agency Amuse might help but I shall reserve judgement. Amuse isn't as big a company as you might think despite some people erroneously thinking that Babymetal is some sort of evil corporate construct. In fact Amuse in the beginning utterly failed to see Babymetal's potential impact and left them with virtually no backing or budget until the thing blew up in their faces to become the biggest act on their books. So Amuse isn't exactly known for the farsightedness of its marketing strategy especially since the company has been doing its level best to piss off Babymetal fans for the better part of ten years. Let's hope however that somebody with the same wisdom as Koba takes these three extraordinarily talented under their wing and grants them the freedom to truly shine.
