A cpu can hit at most abiut 95 degrees at max load until it thermal throttles and crashes. This equates to about 200 degrees using the U.S customary system. Paper burns at 451 farhenhiet. Nowhere near enough heat generated.

TheCherryPi Ok, where can you get a Lenovo Laptop for under $100? Even the cheapest, entry level Lenovo at walmart is usually over $300, with the occasional rollback listing it at $249. HP laptops are cheaper than Lenovo, and are usually the cheapest laptops for sale. Even then, you are unlikely to get a brand new HP for under $200. Even netbooks/chromebooks rarely fall to that $100 mark.
So, unless you are talking used, that is unlikely.

@@triangleofdeath6246 Check ebay, you can get the x220/t420 for under $100 with specs good enough to do anything except intense gaming or USB3.0.
My daily driver, the Thinkpad X230, costed me €90 used. It kicks ass at anything I want it to do, and I expect it to last several times longer than some cheap new HP for $200.

There is no win computer at 40$ but this laptop costs to build 100$ so you can buy an win 10 tablet that outperforms rpi3 for 100,or replace the rpi with upboard or latte panda but the laptop will cost around 150$

Replace the cardboard with 3mm thick lasercut acrylic or plywood. Ask your local makerspace, as those often have the materials and tools for it for cheap.

you have to take the batteries out and replace them with new ones I guess. Oh, and further up in the comments someone answered that question about the speaker and where they plug in.
No you can charge the battery pluging in an usb to usb cable to your smartphone charger and to add an speaker just get an speaker and plug it in the Raspberry pi 3 headphone jack 0:22

We connect the batteries with the raspberry pi and then with a usb we connect the raspberry (which has energy from the batteries) to the screen. Then you connect the hdmi to the screen and raspberry. And how he connected the female usb port and the keyboard? Pls respond too!

This is super cool but if you really want to make the pi more durable or foldable/portable, i reccomend just getting a 3d print file or creating your own file and maybe get 3d print services or go to the local libary that might have one. you probably can just use wood or something cause itd be more durable but with a 3d print, you can make the pi and screen more accessible, rather than just having it superglued to cardboard

There are tons of people making cool things with raspberry pi's, including laptops.Heck, the screen that was used in the video is probably mostly made for hobbyists who make their own (laptop)computers. The only thing is, why in the world would you use a cardboard case? Surely there is better material out there, even in your price range.

But why would need this? You could buy a used laptop, and install Debian on there (if you want). And that la[top may bee much powerfull than raspberry pi.
Old laptop can barely work on battery. Battery is old, consumption is high. Expect 20 minutes of work. This... emm. thing can work for a week with decent powerbank and low screen brightness.
Barafu Albino you can just replace the battery, and older machines with dual core x86 processeees are worth a gimped battery for most

Me being a computer fanatic, I can only recommend this as a backup computer. It's running on a Pi for crying out loud, it's not gonna run squat.
If you can, go out and hunt down someone nearby that's moving out, and try to snag a computer out of them. Thrift stores usually have a monitor or two lying around, and if you're lucky, you might score something nice at a Yard sale. Craigslist is also a really good option for breaking into building PCs.
I know I did all of the above, and I now have a PC that can run Fortnite at Maximum settings, and is VR ready. Though, it didn't come without having to build a surplus of spare parts sitting in my closet.

audio port works out on my Orange Pi, but that's a different product, so I can't say for sure for a Raspberry Pi.
