Juty duty should be ABOLISHED or at least, voluntary. This is not really a free country (USA). A free country does not force you to serve in juty duty. Where are the freedoms? So on top they force me, they gonna threat me with a high fine and jail time? Thats not freedom. If I serve again in juty duty, i wont pay attention to the case and am gonna say whatever, if is guilty or not. Am sure a lot of people does the same. Jury duty is a flawed system that its time to abolished. All Asian countries already abolish that bs. Also, other countries. What the USA is wating for?

It's indentured servitude. They only pay $15 a DAY starting on 2nd day here in LA too and is a huge burden on your life.
I just opened my mail for first time in a long time and saw i missed a summons from march lol. Idk whether to call the office or just ignore it and say i never got it if something does come up. I have no intention of doing stupid jury service anyway they dont pay enough for the inconvenience
at the very least, expand the list of excuses. What about those of us who ARE mentally ill? Depression and stress so bad you can't even get out of bed any longer. Their solution? JAIL. It has to stop. 2022 folks, not the Reagan Era. Come on.
at least my court has the common sense to realize that some of us very much value service like this, not to mention working and being contributing members of society. Thank god they don't send the police to our doors. I want to be of service to the court. Some days right now, I can't even motivate myself to get out of bed. The system is indeed a mess. With this many people being summoned, RANDOMLY to serve. out of nowhere....thank god they don't LOCK US UP for that. Go ahead and praise law and order all you wish. Some of our laws no longer align with reality in 2022. Yeah, the only other solution, ultimately, is JAIL. Kinda funny how people are now WILLINGLY choosing JAIL over probation, jury duty, etc. Justice is great. But justice is not everything life is about. If it were, we would not need courts or laws. god, we need an overhaul. My god.....we have GOT to make the justice system more efficient. No more waiting MONTHS just to be arraigned!

I don’t understand this at all why would I sit in some boring room for a guy that is there for something even though Inever saw him do anything or even know the guy its like going to a meeting in some random company that you don’t even work for. Also I have done judy duty it was the most boring thing ever.
