the judge says, "the state asks very little of you.". how does the judge know what the state asks or does not ask? has judge spoken to state? look up jury nullification to toss out the kangaroo court.

Compel me to show up against my will and if I'm selected I'd vote 'not guilty' regardless. Fuck this!!!

wow the balls the state and courts have to make people lose a day of ya life to show up and stand there and get a talking to like a father talking to a child have to explain why you didn't come.. I would explin alright that I consent to serving and no one will tell me otherwise. If this is what the courts look like then I have a good reason not to get involved with it at all..huge waist of money

"I was held up in traffic, and said screw it, and went back home" If you don't see that answer as juvenile in any way, then I suppose you're right, but some people need a "father" to scold them, and inform them that jury duty is a civic, and legal obligation. We've all become spoiled, juvenile delinquents. Good for us. 😒🇺🇸👶

If you want me to serve that is considered a service and service is payed. Do you work for free? So pay me what I miss from not working and we're all good.

I have a summons for April 4th 2022. I am a Christian so for me to be honest I will tell them God says we are all sinners so how can I judge another person for their sin(s) when I am guilty of sin myself. God is the judge of all mankind so even the courthouse judge is as guilty as the one on trial.

The jurist are treated like chumps, civc duty means being the only people working in the court house for free! How many days does the judge and other six figure public servants work for free? Only bigger chumps in court the the jurors are the defendants.

Responsibility for citizens to go on jury duty why do they allow felons to go not on juries they are has the same freedoms once they are in the society as anybody else. This is bunch of BS

The Judicial System is not fair. The prosecutors have an unlimited budget and US citizens cannot even afford to feed their kids. If I'm forced to attend jury duty, I will find every reason possible to acquit the person on trial, regardless of evidence.

Why doesn’t the government just keep its tendrils and nose out of my life as well?

  • @ericlloyd663

you certainly don't want to show up in court, they don't have any power to force you to work for them. "Any person who is duly summoned to attend as a juror in any court and who fails to attend without any sufficient excuse shall pay a fine not to exceed $100, which fine shall be imposed by the court to which the juror was summoned, and, in addition, such failure may be considered a contempt of court."

How about your employer doesn't pay you for jury duty. How about you get 9 dollars a day. How about you have to pay to park pay to eat and get a whopping 17 cents a mile for gas. If you want juriors pay them their hourly wage they make. I don't think that's to much to ask for.
