I have met both of these men in person at the Arnold 2024, I can tell you that the way they interact and behave off camera is totally different. I wouldn’t say either one is a bad person but from what I saw Mike is a more celebrity type of person, he sets up a time he allowed people to take photos with him and after he was gone, didn’t talk to people and just walk around like a guest, he was only there as a influencer. However, coach greg spent so much time talking to fans, I ran into him 4-5 times and he was always talking to fans. At one point I saw him walking through the lobby and he was happy to talk to me as more then just a fan, I could see he was genuinely happy to be in a conversation with someone and though I don’t know either one personally, Greg’s attitude off camera gave me a respect for him which is rare in the fitness industry where people will willingly lie for views.

    @TheTehrancarroll 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +849

The funny part about this is: Mike’s literally the author of his own misfortune. Here’s the timeline.
    1. Jonni has beef with Greg.
    2. Mike and Jonni get real chummy and start doing lots of content together.
    3. Mike pulls the Olympia stunt trying to embarrass Greg only to look like a Grade 8 bully.
    4. Jonni and Mike make more content. This time, Mike flat out lies about Greg claiming to be a doctor. Jonni says nothing and does nothing to defend Greg. In spite of their beef, he knows Mike’s wrong but he enables Mike’s behaviour. I got the feeling Jonni was letting Mike do a lot of clapping back. A Beef Spokesperson if you will.
    4. Jonni has a death in the family and starts to get push back on the Mike trolling from fans.Seems like he had a moment of clarity and apologizes to Greg.
(If what I heard is right. Jonni is wrong on a few counts)
    5. Jeff Nippard interviews Mike and Mike starts his transparency tour speaking of the dangers of steroids and how they are affecting him. Mike does a few other podcast echoing the same information.
    5. Mike’s transparency tour continues as he gives us a window into his diet and the cycles he’s taking.
    6. Mike clearly can’t diet properly and has a bevy of health issues and visual side effects. Clubbed fingers. GH Head, horns growing from his forehead. GH gut.
    6. Greg gathers up all this information . None of which he had to dig for. All out there for public consumption. He makes a video showing that Mike needs to stop. He highlights his poor eating habits, all the negative side effects, Mike’s age, Mike’s aversion to cardio and the fact that his diet is that of a 14 year old boy while he’s also taking a semi glutide. Greg highlights the mental side effects. Greg points out that this a fruitless pursuit. Especially cause Mike’s on top influencer wise and doesn’t need the pro card.
    7. Mike loses his bodybuilding show. Badly. Blames it on a bad tan. Not his poor conditioning , sub optimal diet unaesthetic frame.
    8. Mike is salty because the fanbase agrees with Greg. Even the saltiest of haters agree. He doesn’t need the pro card. Why is he chasing this dream?
    9. Greg comes out smelling like roses. Everything he predicted came to fruition.
    10. Mike tries to save face and retire though the whole internet and Greg retired him months ago.
    11. Greg’s once again validated. Mike shared his journey. Greg pointed out the holes in his mindset and methods. He has to eat humble pie.
    12. Mike knows he can’t attack Greg’s knowledge anymore so he goes all in on his character on a Revenge Tour.
    Did I miss anything?
Common theme here. Mike starts the bullying with Jonni. Over shares about his bodybuilding journey and methods and gets flamed for it.
He literally gave Greg all the ammunition and motivation to flame his ass. No investigative reporting, no lies, just facts.
Now Mike’s true persona is yet again being exposed. The one he hides behind the sarcastic, good guy act.
He tried to discredit a pro bodybuilder and judge. Then he got exposed. None of this had to go this way.
He brought it all on himself. Egotistical, petty, straight lying.
Pride Cometh before the fall. He could have stayed on top unscathed. Now people question his integrity, character, morals, bodybuilding knowledge, nutritional knowledge etc.
    He played himself.

Most other celebrities would walk right past and not interact but Greg literally soaked up the positivity and took photos with every single person that approached him. It was hilarious because he could barely take a step and a crowd would surround him. I walked up to him and we had a brief conversation. Greg and I collaborated before and we talked about that too. We took a photo and he then continued to interact with fans. He us one of the most genuine influencers I have met, and is so generous to his fans.

It seems to me Mike is projecting himself upon Greg. His body language despite him trying to mock you in person was that of insecurity and envy. It's quite obvious. Mike is successful with his channel, his company, and does give quality information, same as Greg. Unfortunately, Mike's sense of self is based on these type of successes, and can't understand why he's still not satisfied. Greg on the other hand, would just be Greg, with or without as he's self aware and derives his confidence from striving to be a better human. Mike's illusion is he is 'better than you are'. Greg's reality is, 'I'm working to be a better person than I was yesterday'.

And the best kind of success people like them would want to achieve is being crowned as a champion bodybuilder, powerlifter, etc. (which Greg has -- IFBB Pro card and Guinness powerlifting records). No amount of fame, views, likes and money can top that.

He wanted to fight with you, probably had a made up argument with you in his head and how cool he would look to destroy you in that heated exchange. It probabl came as a total shock that you weren't aggressive towards him so instead of taking that as a good thing he became even more mad that you didnt entertain him and fought with him as you did in his mind. Honestly as someone neutral looking in from outside (as a subscriber to both of you guys) I think that Greg is an honestly nice guy, contrary to Mike who comes across as a narcissist. The typical insecurity, power trip, superiority complex and looking down on others that narcissists do is present in him. At least that is my humble opinion on this matter as someone who has no claim in this and does not "nuthug" Greg as Mike likes to say to everybody who doesn't agree/support with him and outright hate/reject Greg and his views. I would be careful if I were Greg, because narcissists go to extreme length in order to get "even" meaning completely destroy others when they feel like they did not get the respect/admiration/submission they deserve or when someone dares to go against them (which can be the slightest thing for them). You can see part of that in those interviews/debates, how he handles himself, how he treats other people and what he says in general. Those crazy mofos are dangerous man, they destroy lives like its nothing, they don't have any qualms about it, no remorse or feelings like empathy in this regard. For them it's fun, they enjoy the sadistic destruction and domination of others. I tell you if there are no laws in place or he feels like he could get away with it, he would tear Greg or anybody who dares to come in his way apart, I mean quite literally. However I do remember him saying something along the lines of "getting a pump is a good indicator that your targeted muscle is actually getting a good stimulus, thus causing hypertrophy". I doubt that mike has said "yeah bro just grab the 10lbs dumbbells and do 100reps until you feel a pump".. I haven't watched the video yet. does Greg bring that up with a quote from mike or are you just making stuff up?
In other words; for example if you only feel your biceps burning from doing a lat pulldown. maybe you should either switch exercise or see about your form.and yes i know that feeling no tension in your muscle does not automatically mean you're not working said muscle, but once again it would be a good indicator.

Not to mention the college he got his degree from was also not even close to the best. Mike is one of those people who is good at stringing words together, and he does know what he's talking about, and he is very passionate. Wow, I used to rate Dr Mike, but I just lost all respect for him after seeing that clip from the Olympia. WTF was he thinking? It was such a petty, mean spirited, childish thing to do. Meanwhile, coach Greg’s taking the high road was such a classy move. It perfectly highlighted how mean and just plain weird Mike was acting.
How obsessed does someone have to be to chase a stranger to a competition, corner them, grab and continuously clutch their hand while aggressively mocking them in a childish way - while filming them, so you can show it off to the world? Mike actually looked unhinged there, as if he’d been possessed by the ghost of a terminally insecure 9-year-old. Seriously, who other than a child would think that type of schoolyard bullying is anything but a total loser move? I felt embarrassed for Mike just watching it.
Maybe the steroids cooked his brain that cycle, and it was a twisted roid-rage moment. I can’t think why else a grown man would have a tantrum like that in public, over a stranger saying words - especially words that were largely constructive criticism.
In any case, Greg’s critique of Mike clearly hit home. That’s what makes it so funny. Mike exposed himself. He clearly thought what Greg said was the truth - otherwise he’d have just debunked it or laughed it off, instead of having this bizarre meltdown.
Finally, I’m tired of Mike claiming he’s intellectually superior to everyone. According to him, anyone who doesn’t take his side is just too stupid to ‘understand the science’. It can’t be that Mike’s actually in the wrong, or that other people might have well-thought out, well informed opinions that just aren’t the same as his. His whole intellectual superiority routine just seems like a massive cope, and makes him look like an insecure, over-sensitive child who lacks perspective.
