    I don't think he's a psychopath.
    I think he's a dork who got bullied at school and is putting on a front to overcompensate. I know plenty of people who acted that way as young adults. It makes them feel tough. What's weird is he's still doing it at his age and success.

    • @GeneralDingo
      @GeneralDingo 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      @q-dans oh well. He's rich and has a huge following. Embarrassing as this behaviour is, it's not like he's crossed some kind of moral event horizon and ruined his life... well not yet anyway.

    • @theenforcer22
      @theenforcer22 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

      I think you’ve nailed it. A proper anonymous frustrated dork at school. The insecurities from that still exist for Mike despite all he’s achieved. Greg was an athlete at school and got laid.

    • @guitargod3545
      @guitargod3545 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +10

      Your partially right. I know many people like him and I myself empathize and I do understand how everyone else sees this. But he is speaking about stuff that happened in his formative years that he couldn't ever stop thinking about. Even now. Obviously I don't think Mike would do that stuff he said. He just kind of wants to. He wants revenge. He feels pent up because he didn't get a chance to stand up for himself back then. And he is right these feelings are the reason we have people shooting up schools. So instead of making fun of him and others we should probably take note and try to be more attentive in our children's lives because imagine if these kind of kids didn't have a parent to instruct them or felt no way out except to get revenge.

    shocking....i was bullied hard at school by 3 guys. they injured me, mocked me, and i tried to take my life twice cause of them. its been almost 30 years now - you know how i actually reacted when i met one of them? Now me being a martial artist, trainer and quite well built?
    I raised my hand, waved and said "hi XYZ how are u doin" and had a chat what we were up to since we last met over 20 years ago...
    do i hold a grudge? dude he wa a child back then and obviously changed. i suffered, and id like to hear an apology, but im not gonna hurt him over what he did. The satisfaction i liked is that he only knew me as the fat nerd and now im more muscular and fit than he is. i also have a family that he has not - so im good. Other guy that bullied me? actually became one of my best friends. and the third - ended up in prison cause he did not change his ways as adult and is now behind bars for a decade

    Mike’s problem is actually much worse than I thought. It’s not that the PEDs make him have these aggressive thoughts, it’s that they enhance what’s already there. Mike is being self-destructive because he knows he won’t be able to make much progress in something he deeply cares about (bodybuilding). He’d rather fail due to something else (like his behavior) than confront the idea that he wasn’t a great bodybuilder. His ego is trying to protect him, as he cares about the sport a lot. I can relate-I get into a similar mindset when I’m afraid of love or relationships that I actually crave. I end up finding ways to sabotage myself.

    I really feel for Mike. He’s endured childhood trauma, and every time he’s triggered by a similar situation, he relives those overwhelming feelings of fear, powerlessness, and domination. When this happens, he often turns to overcompensation and aggression as a way to cope. Many trauma and abuse survivors experience this, and it’s a common symptom of Complex PTSD. Therapy can be incredibly helpful for those who struggle with this, allowing them to start a healing journey. Starting mine was one of the best decisions I ever made.

    Watching Dr. Mike Israetel express his unhinged and sadistic thoughts reminds me that is far better to be wise than intelligent. What is the distinction between wisdom and intelligence? The difference is intelligence is a measurement of our ability to achieve objectives, while wisdom is the ability to determine whether those objectives are worth achieving. Dr. Israetel maybe highly intelligent, but he is deficient in wisdom. He knows all the scientific minutiae to build muscle, but he isn't contemplative enough to ask if the price to achieve this gargantuan physique is worth it?

      That's the crux of roid rage. Steroids don't *cause* aggressive behaviour, but if you already have underlying anger issues, it will exacerbate them. *Edit: I realize I am no longer actually Natty but I will not do another ped. I was 215 when I started. By the time I hit 230 I did have some fluff. I took one of each with a meal, breakfast and dinner. At one point I cut down to one Deca two test then drop the DECA entirely then eventually drop to 1 test and finished the bottle. I'm naturally already a very intense person and it made everything that much more extreme. I quite literally realized I had become dangerous. I do have a lot of self-control but the tension was so high and my anxiety riddled brain was ready for war. It felt like I would be able to kill all of my enemies but I would be crying as I did it which was a crazy feeling. My experience does not make me soft it just shows that I shouldn't be doing it and I'm glad I'm not doing it. I have plenty of aggression in the gym and I'm still able to kill it even at 31. I'm finally back to normal got my bloods back. Test an estrogen are in healthy range. Mid-cycle my cortisol levels did Spike as well as my cholesterol.
    Second edit: I do think the two-step conversion process due to it being cyclosome delivery play the key role in my anxiety. I could not sleep whatsoever which made everything worse and I truly believe if I had been able to sleep I would have been in a much better place.

    I believe the reason Mike has those sides from gear abuse is because he already had those proclivities. Even in early childhood, he fantasized of hurting the bully to an extreme extent. Gear use just amplifies your tendencies. Likely why others on gear haven't experienced this. Some people just get real anxious or sad.

      Just be aware, most people who grow up in a western country never experience any real hardship or trauma and are unlikely to have a proper understanding of how common these kinds of things are.
      This kind of thought pattern is a lot more common then people want to accept, simply because people won't be honest about it. Based on the way Greig and many commenters react to the words is very obvious as to why nobody wants to talk about the thoughts that they have.
      The chance Mike is going to do anything is extremely low, but most people do not understand the separation between thoughts and actions, or that participating actively in a combat sport massively decreases your likeliness of participating in violent actions.
