There are plenty of NVMe drives in this price range that are perfectly fine as a game drive (if something happens you're just losing installed games which can easily be reinstalled) and often used as such (MP33, EX900, P3, 980). Yes losing a drive is not something you want to experience but cheap drives don't mean they'll fail, they just have lower specs.

No idea but I always stay away from cheaper items where data integrity is concerned. Regardless of backups, you don't want drive outages ever.
