TH-cam is still processing the livestream. If you only see 2 hours of it are available, you can come back later (in a few hours) and it will have the entire stream. It ran for about 3-4 hours. The rest is still processing, but it will be here. Big thanks to Kingpin, Jay (for calling in during the stream), and Paul for joining! Kingpin helped with some OC tips. I shared those with Jay when we got on the phone to keep it fair, so looking forward to seeing what happens next!
STEVE 🤦🏼♂️ ... DUDE... your channel is SOOOOO DAMN EXCELLENT... you make me feel like I need to be a part of your “movement” somehow. You’re honest almost to a fault and I’m 💯% with ya!! I REALLY truly admire how your channel is ran more than most other creators in this space. If I want an honest take on a product, I go to Gamers Nexus first!! Guide me 🤣... I’m a GN padawan 😁
Short series idea: "Overclock camp" Techtubers meet up and compete on overclocking, each coached by an overclocking expert who can help them make decisions but can't tell them values to use. Competitions on various topics such as brand new top of the line, getting the most out of cheap hardware, and getting the most out of old hardware.
To the people who think that buildzoid can beat Kingpin with enough budget. Yall are forgetting that "K|ngP|n" is a duo that also includes Illya/TiN. Who is wayyyy more experienced at this than buildzoid.
I feel like doing those kind of ''competition'' for most of the big new cards could be really cool, I personally like needing to get to each channel to ear all the story and it would also be really beneficial for you since like i said, poeple need to go to every channel to get the full story and the fact that you would post mort videos about the new cards would also help you in the youtube algorithme.
I wish they would do one of these non-LN2 OC streams with a capture card so it’s easier to see what Steve’s actually doing instead of just knowing “he’s changing something in bios” or whatever.
This was really fun to watch. I do really enjoy those streams even though they are long. My job allows me to watch them or listen at the very least. I'm really enjoying it it's actually making me want to tweak the overclocking on my current system again even though I spent days already when I built it last year lol Oh and I love the community relationships you guys all have. K|NGP|N, Der8aur, Jayz, Linus, Buildzoid, Paul etc... It's really nice to watch you guys poke fun at each other. It's all in good fun and it's funny to watch. Cheers!
this randomly was queued in youtube recommendations...... I am shocked to see a skinny Steve, voice is a little different too slightly lighter and higher toned. Also, I hate to say Steve looks much happier here despite having the same camera personality.
if you want to try something? you know what the old Military coffee cups looked like? rectangular metal cup. take a block of metal drill a hole large enough to pass the water cooling pipe through it with two holes in the metal cup corresponding to the metal blocks so the hose passes through all of it (if you want weld the block in place) then fill the cup with LN2 enough to cool anything passing through the water pipe without freezing (use anti freeze in the water cooler) should be able to do something like this without having the risk of snow on the board and still get much better cooling to the blocks. (obviously not for -50 to -196..etc ranges)
I’m surprised Steve hasn’t just put together an extruded aluminum bench with fans on goosenecks so he can set it up however he needs without jerryrigging it.
Hey bought your mat ;) like it. Is it properbly possible you export your settings from the x299 dark for the session you did ? wanna try it with my setup here. thx
I'm really enjoying that all these professional overclockers don't post any results for a little while, it allows for some good fun content like this. I'm assuming people like KingPin have the connections to get the cards as early as possible, so they must be doing it out of good will??
After watching this, its funny to me how people now complain about the high power targets of RTX 300 cards....after complaining how RTX 2000 didnt allow for enough power.
STEVE!!!! You need to move the chat monitor to the same side of the table as the benchmark machine. Just set it at an angle so its perpendicular to the camera so it isn't an eyesore.
Gamers Nexus You could change the orientation of the monitor to verticle so that you can read more of the chat as it goes by! Put it behind the benchmark monitor!
Everything just works... It just works... Contact Hardening Just Works.... The Umbra Works.... Thepenudrawars….. EverythingJustWorks…. Because Ray Tracing Just Works.... It just works... And Yet Everything Just Works Here.... It just works...
A clear glass with the GN logo to your right (the blue t-shirt) in blue with no coloured rim. Also, doing something (if possible) about international shipping would be nice. Maybe a small distributor somewhere in Europe?
Gamers Nexus 1. Of course, but perhaps a small distributor in Europe somewhere? Germany or the UK would work. Zotac, for example, has its Europe RMA centre in the UK (generally cheaper shipping to and from the US). EVGA, for another example, has its Europe RMA centre in Germany. It obviously depends upon the quantity of your products you sell to those in European countries. If the volume is reasonable, there are companies that will offer cost-effective distribution/small warehousing for ~500 items at the lowest end. 2. Back to the glasses, one pint (although may need to adjust that for Europe as the UK is the only European country to use British/US Imperial. Thoughts on the design suggestion for the clear glass?
While I can understand the desire to be the fastest and the best, I don't understand the fascination with it when it doesn't involve reliability. A Bugati Chiron is interesting given it's capable speed, but you can't do it for long before the engine needs maintenance and the tires need replacing. Not to mention the fuel tank that won't even last 20 minutes at that speed. I'd find a car that only goes 220mph but conitiously for 24hr without maintenance much more fascinating. I guess those kind of CPU overclocks don't generate headlines, though. "New Record, 4.2GHz stable 192hr test."
Did they do a shunt mod or anything to enhance power overhead? Edit: I saw they did. But I don't have time to watch all 4 hours. Do they show which shunts they shorted at any point in the video?
No, they don't show, but from the video where they showed which shunt goes to what, i would assume its the bottom front one and the rear one which both go to the PCI-E power socket rather then the top front one which they guess goes to the PCI-E lane.
Curious : I know this is an older episode but why don't you ship to North Korea, If you have fans there, ship to them. If they manage to get money out of north korea into your pocket , you can at least try getting it to them. We should NEVER exclude people based on where they are from. Same goes for Russia / China / Ukraine / Israel / Palestine. This is just my take on it, but wanted to share my thoughts as this is more and more of a thing nowadays with all the sanctions on certain countries. Love the channel, thanks for reading. PS : If your wondering how for for example NK : There are shipping forwarders in China and Russia to NK :)
how about a threadripper 32 core on 4 to 4.2ghz on all cores for cpu and the 2080ti's ? wouldn't that get way more cpu score? or is it the clockspeed that matters more here?
I think the lower clockspeeds might "bottleneck" the gpu and end up lowering the graphics score which has a higher impact on the overall score. Otherwise a dual socket server board with two 28 core xeons and 8-channel memory would likely perform better than both of those options.
Have you seen Intel's new gold line CPU's 1151(300) series Professional lines theres a few enthusiast sized(not priced?) core::thread ratio's near these 8/16 :: 12/24 :: 18/36 and then your typical grotesque server count.
I would more politely say #FuckJay - I cannot stand that man. Aside from that, it's always a damn pleasure when one video from Gamers Nexus with Tech Jesus "Steve" :D
I wonder if people are putting the seal under the ihs edges? I figure it'd work well enough to tack the corners/sides down while pressing the ihs down. and keep holding it down till the glue dries lest it get pushed back up by the glue/seal. I think some kind of clamp would be needed with a jb-weld or silicone since they dry slower than super glue...
I got 5,826 with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070(1x) and Intel Core i7-3770K Processor Graphics Score 6,343; CPU Score 3,986 www.3dmark.com/3dm/28892965 With the Free version of TimeSpy.
Game Planetside 2 Planetside2.com uses all CPU cores, you might want to test that, and has an integrated FPS counter which tells you how is the game bound. Also POV-Ray has a standard CPU test, why you're not using that? povray.org First time watching a modern overclock, voltages everywhere, this is nuts, wow OCing has advanced a lot, Vmesh I don't even know what that is, looks like I'm a newb PC tech once more

Please setup your c-stand properly before someone gets hurt. Get a sandbag on there as well.
i cida missed this stream, do you have low latency mode enabled or not if so that brakes timeshifting (can't backtrack on stream when its live)
Thank you for that answer I was wondering why the video was starting in the middle of the livestream.
What about Greg Oleksey?
Is the video a bit dark???
We need a Der8aur + Steve vs K|NGP|N + Jay OC competition
K|NGP|N is the king of LN2, good luck ;)
The Clint Problem is that it might be difficult for KP since EVGA doesnt do AMD, contract wise i mean
STEVE 🤦🏼♂️ ... DUDE... your channel is SOOOOO DAMN EXCELLENT... you make me feel like I need to be a part of your “movement” somehow. You’re honest almost to a fault and I’m 💯% with ya!! this overclocking video has help me with my overclocking and help me get a more stable overclock
These colabs and "beefs" are super acceptable, considering the current state and prices of PC tech. Love you guys, and everyone involved! :)
i just woke up to this video and i like how youve looked the basically same for 6 years, just a lil younger hear

Special glass work huh? Are we getting GN bongs or?
great video cant wait for the next episode!

When do we start seeing overclocking videos conducted in commercial meat freezers? Would there be a performance increase running in Windows7?
This is a good content, keep up the good work!
I love this tech comradery you, LTT and Jay have going.
I love these streams! I missed this one live but will hopefully catch the next one.
I like the fact you had a fire extinguisher at hand
Steve should get a water chiller for these clocks next
Clear beer glass indeed, then you can see the beautiful amber nectar colour of the beer. Use the stripped down version of the GN Logo.
This is awesome! Keep this going!
Shots fired
Lol I love how the 3 of you go back and forth... And its all in good fun
Superb stream!! please keep doing more of these :D

why dont u sell mod mats direct in germany via caseking? doesnt der8auer worl there too? would be awesome because shipping sucks
I mean, we would still have to ship them to Germany. That costs money.
Gamers Nexus well but it would be sooo cool if we could buy it at caseking :D
Why can I only thumbs up this - need the laughing smiley reaction. Also, love the LTT reaction :)
this randomly was queued in youtube recommendations...... I am shocked to see a skinny Steve, voice is a little different too slightly lighter and higher toned. Also, I hate to say Steve looks much happier here despite having the same camera personality.

No. This does better.
I’m surprised Steve hasn’t just put together an extruded aluminum bench with fans on goosenecks so he can set it up however he needs without jerryrigging it.
We don't need reel tweezers, we use those bribes all the motherboards and PSUs come with.

You use thermal paste for you hairs? Is that why you are so cool?
Shit, I STILL say “she’s doneski, Steve” when I’m overclocking. (I’m Cx4/Chaos County Custom Computers, btw.)
Jay just beat your score again Steve
I was watching this at 1am and I thought I was moving the camera with my mouse lmao
You can use a HDMI capture card between the GPU and the monitor and send that feed to your streaming machine.
www.elgato.com/en/gaming/game-capture-4k60pro
Can someone summarize this video results? Can't watch the entire stream tl;dw
yeah 3d mark can be cheated by changing graphics settings.
honestly what a sham
look here:
www.3dmark.com/hall-of-fame-2/timespy+graphics+score+extreme+preset/version+1.0/2+gpu
Jay is doneski
Grumzz Anyone can fake a benchmark score by manipulating the control panel settings.
After watching this, its funny to me how people now complain about the high power targets of RTX 300 cards....after complaining how RTX 2000 didnt allow for enough power.
Any chance you could do a video showing the logic of Under-Volting?
Reduces heat produced and power used if properly Under-Volted (NEEDS TO BE STABLE. JUST LIKE A OVERCLOCK WOULD NEED TO BE.)
Damn I missed it I'll be enjoying this replay though :3 that radiator is THICCC :P
STEVE!!!! You need to move the chat monitor to the same side of the table as the benchmark machine. Just set it at an angle so its perpendicular to the camera so it isn't an eyesore.

THE LED'S WERE NOT SET TO RED! RED IS FASTA!!! WAAAAAAaaggGGGGGGGHHHH!!!!!!
I went from Norton Ghost in 2003 to Acronis until 2012. Now I use Aomei (FREE)
What is norton ghost?
Ur setup is fine
Ha ha ha “no I specifically asked for tweezers” ha ha ha ha ha 😂
as far as what type of clear glass.... a rocks glass
@ Steve - you need to make a ''Got Tweezers'' t shirt mate
Will we have a Steve's Cheshire Mustache video?
Best comment in chat, "Caleb: But will it run Cry-- *takes blunt object to the head*"
what 'software' did they use? idk if they said it kind of a long vid to go through for it if they did mention it :P
Live Ln2 battle at evga hq!
that would be pretty cool
4:56 Can you see the angry frog? That Is a fucking freakin fraigthening frog.
While I really enjoy watching these, I could not imagine doing something like this myself.
I imagine there is a lot of silicon luck involved.
Hahahahaha @ #RIPJAY
I saw his video for his benchmarks and he said you were going to likely crush it... and here it is... lol 😂
I got 14,127 from my I9 9900K 2080 ti 32 gb ram all corsair and gigabyte parts z390 motherboard watered cooled

CPU model Intel Core i9-7980XE Processor 18 core cpu
www.3dmark.com/hall-of-fame-2/timespy+3dmark+score+extreme+preset/version+1.0/2+gpu
That's fair.
I hope you managed to beat Jay dude! JayZ1Pence.. Well thanks to the awful current exchange rate with Stirling more like 1.3p :/
Is this Kingpin same guy been at it for 14 years being number 1 ??
LOL! Zipties are called tweezers?!
You need a better binned CPU if you're going to challenge Jay, not that he has posted any new scores yet though.
Good building system pc steve editor in ship pc ✌
Good vid, forget nitrogen, just use 5 pounds of thermal compund.
I fell asleep while watching, did Steve ever explain why he called the 130% power limit on evga card stock like he said he would?
Tres Waters He had a custom BIOS that got him to 154% power limit.
@@Stumper52 thanks hombre
