  • The Triumph Thruxton RS is a true retro Cafe' racer with all the modern features. The clip-on handlebars along with the pan seat, finished with the distinctive cowl hump, define the style of the Cafe' racer. Now you can add a great functional premium accessory to compliment your Thruxton with installation of a Dolphin Faring from Triumph. It can be purchased at your local Triumph Dealer as a complete kit with everything you need to transform your ride into a true classic Cafe' racer. This video will show you the finshed installation on my 2023 Thruxton RS.

    Thanks for the input. My FE should be arriving any day now. Owning a bunch of old Norton and Triumphs this bike is a must have. It was a no brainer for me to order the fairing since it is the cherry on top of a quintessential cafe racer. Completes the look. I appreciate your review. Looking forward to riding into the past on this work of art. Cheers

      David, it sounds like you have very unique collection of motorcycles. I’m envious of the Norton machine. I had a chance to ride a commando years back and it will forever live in my memory of the performance and handling of that bike. The Thruxton comes close and with all the modern touches, it is a very sweet ride and I’m sure you’ll enjoy the final edition model. Enjoy this riding season coming up and go on some fun adventures. Thanks for your comments and input.

    I am not a motorcyclist and don't own a motorbike. But I have to say that your bike is a most beautiful machine. (I am prejudiced, being English. Nevertheless, it IS outstandingly handsome.).
    I also have to complement you on a superb video, particularly the "on bike" content. The variety of camera positions was perplexing me. I thought to myself, it MUST be shot from a drone. I could see no evidence of the drone itself but later, a ha!, I did spot its shadow (I think). I have absolutely no idea how its flight path is controlled.
    The countryside itself was also so very beautiful. Well done! Very well done!

      Thank you Roy, your comment is very much appreciated. I live in the New England area where the riding season is limited to the Spring , Summer and Fall. That is part of the reason I haven't published a riding video recently. However I do have a chance to get out and ride in the winter when the roads are not sloppy or frozen. When the weather cooperates I plan on doing a Heated Gear video as I ride with that setup when temperatures fall below 50 degrees. Thank you for taking the time to write your comment, it inspires me to get out and document more rides for everyone that enjoys the videos. Happy 2024 with good health and many adventures.

    Thanks for nice review. I was looking for information about possibility to install FE with original high clip ons and I got it. Don’t want to change my current riding position which I find comfortable for daily ride. Safe roads and vivid emotions!

      As you know from watching the video, I like the original high clip on bars much better than the lower position bars that come with the dolphin faring kit. Some people decide to put a different triple tree top with conventional bar mounts and wider and higher bars. You might as well purchase a Triumph Bonneville if you’re going to ride like that. You are one of the fortunate owners to have been able to purchase a Final Edition. They are becoming very difficult to find. My dealer told me that most of them are already pre sold. That means with the high demand the price will increase quickly. Enjoy your ride.

      I have been owning Truxton R for 4 years and I absolutely love it. When I came to Triumph shop mine intention was to buy a Speed tween, but then I took a sit and ride on Truxton R and felt that this is my bike. I like how it looks and how it feels on the roads. I think Faring can improve riding comfort and esthetic looks. 4 years have passed already, but I am still excited with every ride. Keep enjoying your life!

      Congratulations on your good choice of purchasing a Triumph Thruxton. I think the Speed Twin was going to be my choice also. I think it is a very desirable machine with similar handling characteristics, but after looking at and sitting on the Thruxton with the optional competition green and silver colors, I knew that was the bike for me. Now after owning the bike for over a year, I am glad that I chose the Thruxton RS. Thanks for your comment and may you have many enjoyable rides on your joy machine.

      I agree. It’s definitely one my favorite rides. I’m still trying to figure out why they’re discontinuing the Thruxton. Maybe because they are coming out with so many smaller models. Could you be a 400 cc Thruxton and I’ll check out your channel for the videos.

      @lifetimeadventures9107 I was originally told they were discontinuing it due to low sales. However I've since spoken to about 5 dealership owners who all told me the bikes were hard to keep on sales floors for over 2 weeks before they sold. So I think Triumph simply trying to make the street twin 1200 sell better which is the same engine just less speced out.

      You made nice choices for the mods on your Thruxton 👍it looks great… If you do decide to install the Dolphin faring I agree that the silver would look just as good as the green. If you wanted it more custom, you could pay to have both colors on the faring with a custom paint job. It’s an easy installation.

      The technology used to capture my riding and life adventures is available to everyone. The challenging part is learning how to plan and edit the content that you want to capture. The whole process takes dedicating the time so that the outcome is informative and entertaining for the viewer. I have always had an interest in photography and video and started the @lifetimeadventures channel to experience what is involved in producing content.
      It is rewarding to hear that others are enjoying it as much as I enjoy creating it. Thank you for your comments and continued support. I will be publishing that Hot Wired heated gear video this week.🏍️

    Thanks for the video, it answers the question I've been wondering ... should I fit the Thruxton fairing that has been sitting in a box for a year? The only question now is ... what colour? The Thruxton is ice-silver but the Triumph green looks fantastic ... perhaps I'll do a combination of the two.

    • @lifetimeadventures9107
      @lifetimeadventures9107  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I like both colors a lot, but I tend to favor the green as I’ve had vehicles in the past with that same color. I think that you can purchase a wrap color if you decided to change silver. Street Stuff Cycle did a custom wrap job on a triumph Bonneville. Check out their website they may have it listed for sale to see how a wrap looks on the tank.

    • @lifetimeadventures9107
      @lifetimeadventures9107  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I did not change the stock clip on bars on my Thruxton as they were comfortable for me. There are other bar mount options available to get the bars higher. The challenge then becomes involved with the wiring and control cables and brake hose not being long enough. If you want some professional advice I will refer you to Reagan, at Street Stuff Cycle. She runs the parts department and rides a Thruxton 1200 RS. You can reach her at (860) 886-5902

      The original clip on bars that came with the bike, did not present a challenge at all with the faring installation. I never had to adjust them, or move them in anyway for the fairing to fit. it’s the dead of winter here and the roads are not suitable for motorcycle riding. I will be posting more content as soon as the roads and weather allows. Thank you for watching and commenting any further questions about the Triumph Thruxton, or any of the bikes in the videos you are welcome to ask.

    Packing bags on that bike ??😢

    • @lifetimeadventures9107
      @lifetimeadventures9107  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @stefanlageambecker6077 Riders may think it unusual for a café racer to have luggage but I find it comes in handy when you want to do an overnight trip or a long ride which may require bringing extra gear or consumables. Triumph does an excellent job at producing accessory panniers and tank bag that matches the classic style of the bike.
      I published a video about mounting the panniers and tank bag on the Thruxton RS. Realizing that everyone has different preferences for how the bike should look and I do think the bike has a cleaner look without the luggage, however, I don’t notice it when I’m driving down country roads enjoying maneuvering in the tight corners. The added convenience of having needed items and riding gear with you, I think outweighs any perceived negative aesthetics in the appearance of the bike.
      May you have happy and safe motorcycle adventures. Thank you for commenting.
