A couple corrections: chrome edition comes with a chrome triple as well, front are showa and back are ohlins. Also the bike you're loaned has heated gripes equipped which are some of the best I've ever used.
Thanks so much for the info! I have a habit of seeing golden forks and immediately thinking they are Öhlins. The heated grips have been a great help. Oh, the triple as in the clamp for the forks?
@TheBritishMotorbiker yes the triple clamp on the tip of the forks by the stem nut. It's Chrome on the chrome version and blasted on the rest of the 22-24 rs
Been obsessed with this bike for years! I always try to catch as many videos made about it that I can. So Thx! The chrome edition is fantastic looking- definitely bummed Triumph is discontinuing the Thruxton.
It is honestly such a beautiful machine, and I cannot fathom why they are getting rid of it. I'm glad you like the video, and that I could be of help with showing the bike off in all its glory. I will work on uploading a riding POV soon.
Lovely. So the modes are throttle responsiveness. Sport being the sharpest, down to rain which is a much easier throttle. I found it good for a pillion as it takes away the snatchiness. Another good mod is a throttle spacer which takes away the pointless free play. I do miss mine.
Thank you for this. I've been playing around with them and there is a noticeable difference in the throttle response. Is that all it does, or does it limit the total power that is used as well? Is that even possible on bikes?
Fantastic video Connor, I'm looking forward to seeing more of this stunning bike. Also, a shout out to the noisy 125cc in the background. Them Newland corner hooligans 😂
I know exactly what you mean. Perhaps, if the seat cowl on the Chrome Edition was also chrome, rather than black, it would be a closer comparison. In my opinion, anyone can have a silver tank, but chrome is another level of sophistication! As for the MPG, I haven't actually looked at it once since receiving the bike. I will take a look when I'm next out and let you know :)
Beautiful bike, and great video. Very nicely filmed and presented! Your best video yet 👌🏻
Thank you very much, buddy! I really enjoyed working on this one.
I bought the green/silver Thruxton rs last year, best bike i've ever owned.
What a beautiful spec! They're very special bikes. It's a shame they're no longer in production.
@@TheBritishMotorbiker It is indeed very pity, the green with the gold pinstripe they made as a last run is exquisite 😍

Ah good to know! Thanks so much for this 🙂
I’m so proud of how you’ve put this one together. Well done you! 😘
Thank you 🙏
As a Thruxton R owner, they do have a sport mode as well as the road and rain modes too 👍🏻
Thank you for letting me know 🙂

Great video Conor, captured the beauty of the thruxton perfectly.
Thanks so much, buddy!
An absolutely stunning motorcycle, and masterfully presented. Thank you for another amazing video!
Thank you for the continued support and kind words :)
I have a Thruxton TFC it’s a beautiful bike, the Chrome edition is stunning.
Beautiful is the word! Cherish that bike, dude :)
Fantastic video Connor, I'm looking forward to seeing more of this stunning bike.

That's very kind of you to say! I have some more videos planned :)
Ha, we were all there once, but I don't miss the single cylinder sound.
Beautiful bike
It's a special one!
I really can’t decide which on is sexier this shiny metal or the 2017 silver one, how many mpg do you get from it??

🔥😎🔥
What helmet are you using here
It's a Shoei Glamster in gloss black. They're a great helmet.
I prefer the matte series
Is that a specific run they did, or are you referring to the standard specs? 🙂
beautiful bike but the first thing I would do is paint over that "Thruxton" logo. Font is crap!
Would you replace it with another font? The bike is so recognisable, I don't even think the writing is necessary.
@@TheBritishMotorbiker i would just paint over it tbh. no need to even show it. distracts from the rest of the beauty of this masterpiece.
