In this video I reveal and discuss my new motorcycle My Bike: ??? My Camera: GoPro Hero 9 Edited in: Adobe Premiere Pro Follow my socials Instagram: / parallel_finn TikTok: / parallelfinn
Yo, bought my first bike, exactly the same, 16k miles 2005, drives like butter, have to hit that follow for future issues (I hope we gonna get just few :D)
Older bikes/ cars are much more simpler to work on compared to the new stuff and with the older stuff you can easily teach yourself how things work. I've only held my full bike licence for 2 years and every day is still very much a school day
Lovely bike. I picked my 2012 Street Triple R for similar reasons. I wanted something relatively simple to work on myself while also having a sporty kick to it. I knew that if I got a newer bike Id likely just take it to a service dealer rather than working on it myself. Im looking forward to whatever adventures you take the FZ6 on, and hope its as good to you as my STR has been to me
Cheers! Yeah simplicity is a selling point for sure, the street triple seems like a great choice too, and will be easy to work on on account of it having no fairings etc. Appreciate the comment!
Congratulations to a great buy. Have mine for 2 years now and is so pleased with it. Changed the exhaust and removed the midpipe and the sound is so much better. Ride safe.
Definetly changing the exhaust yeah! Some little things I've still got to do like brakes and tyres as they're both subpar right now but nothing drastic. Looking at changing the clutch cable down the line for something hopefully a bit lighter but sounds like a bit of a job (for me anyway!) Thanks again.
That's good to know and I can see how, it's so comfortable! I don't think I've seen one of these with an aftermarket seat because it's hard to improve on 😅 thank you! You too.
Wise decision. Can't go wrong with 4 cylinder Japanese machines of that era. Great value for money, yet good all round performance. Also, I did same when I bought my little cafe racer. I really wanted a more powerful sportsbike, but I'd had a long break from bikes, and didn't want to go through a hedge or get umpteen points on my licence. My skill level wasn't high enough, and thankfully I was wise enough to realise that. It is now, arguably. But, my little Ducati is perfect for the country roads, and fast enough for me, although I am still tempted by the Gods of Speed lol. May it always be so. Life is a balance of risk and living to another day.
Totally agree. We already take risk by having a bike in the first place, but as you say it's all about balancing that. The type of roads you ride on are important too yeah, a lot of the roads around me are single track and an 1000cc (sportbike) would be wasted. Thanks for the comment! - cheers
I doubt the track day will help that will only make you quick on those certain corners, just road road road constant experience is the key no need to go too fast and risk life anyway. subbed and goodluck
Thanks for that, yeah no I get what you mean, I guess I just want to know just how much I can trust my tyres etc in the event I've gone too fast into a corner or something. Appreciate the advice and sub man.

I hope they treat us both well!

100% yeah, it's also a little freeing having a bike pre tcs and abs, means it's all up to me 🤣 though abs would've been nice 😅 cheers!

Ayy congrats on the new bike man, picking myself up a new bike next week!
Thanks a lot! Ohh! What you going for? :o
Thinking of buying one any idea on the range :) be safe tony
Honestly no idea just yet Tony, but I've heard some poeple say it's around 200 miles, which isn't bad at all in my books
Great choice, my mate accompanied us on one of these on a 3000 mile tour around Europe. Super flexible machine. Safe riding Pal.
