No not for 33s , I mean u could , but I wouldn't do it , I run 33s on my ranger and it's still getting the same power to the tires as it was before I went up on tire size

So no worse than stock LOL. Apart from E rated 265/75/R16's and some armor my brand new 23 gets 15~16 typically. A rare time or two I've gotten 17~18 and have no clue how but damn if these trucks don't have shitty economy@@tacomabeast
Perfect setup daily is leave it alone trd off-road stock. You'll get lousy gas mileage on a 550-mile trip, sucks! And stock still goes anywhere that truck will. Use your money for payments and insurance.
I agree. Stock is perfectly fine with daily driving. I've been daily driving my stock Off Road for about a year, have zero desire to upgrade anything yet. Well besides cosmetics.
Very intuitive and thorough; subscribed because I am excited to see future builds and what projects you guys complete; I have always been an avid off roader and kayaker; these builds have so many different features I never thought of or would have the time to complete. Wish I could get to see some of these in person or get the chance to drive them after you've put all this work and thought process into the builds. I have the same suspension set up but being a daily driver I choose to keep the tires at 33's. With full underneath skids, sliders, KC Gravity PRO6 lights, etc... my daily can go to 95% of all the places Fully built, high bumper clearance Tacomas on 37's can go. lol But that rig is sweet as hell! If I ever win it, I would probably sell it to finance my current build. (I love my Manual Tranny Voodoo Blue)

Depending on how much you want to lift your truck you might need to do some chopping of the fender housing to avoid rubbing. If you go for 3 inches you’ll for sure need to do it, if you’re going for something like a 6 inch lift you might have less trouble with rubbing. Mud terrains for a daily don't sound the best. They look good but I live where it snows... Using a 4runner as a daily now, small lift and for where I live, it's pretty big, though several people use a full sized pickup to drive to the office... My truck is really not the best daily, but i enjoy it

Fuel economy! With Gas at $500 a gallon Fuel economy for daily driving is an issue. I went with an "Aggressive street tread. Kept the rims stock because I am married and have no need for a "Chick magnet" Fabricated an off road utility rack, Installed a bumper with hidden winch. Plan to replace the step with rock sliders. If your Tacoma only gets 12-15 MPG, Why not go with a Tundra which can carry the load and probably get better MPG?
For the Falcon seekers and their offset you mentioned about back spacing? What spacers did you go with? I’m going to be running 33’s with my Falcon T8 seekers. They’re on their way and if I need spacers, I want to make sure I get the ones I need for my rig to look amazing like Great White does. @tacomabeast

I cpuld care less about having a fancier interior components. I just want the better off roading components on my 2023 Tacoma Ted off road truck like 33 to 35" tires on 17" gun metal or flat gray colored wheels on my magnetic gray metallic colored truck. Also plan on getting the TED factorupy lift. Then get my cousin to install fox shock setup onto my truck. I live in northeast Tennessee less than an hour to 2 hours from lots of serious off roaring trails running through the Cherokee national forest and Pisgah national forest and smoky mountains national park are both located within a 2.5 to 3 hour drive from my house in Kingsport, TN.

Just got me a set of Falcon T8 Seekers! Did you install longer studs when you installed? Seems as if the studs from factory are not long enough to fully thread lugs.
You gotta use aftermarket lug nuts for them, the description of the product on our website outlines the dimensions but I’m pretty sure you can buy them at any hardware/ auto shop 🤙

This is a pretty inspirational video, I've recently purchased a 2020 Tacoma Crew Cab, 6.1' bed. It had a front end collision and needs an entire new frame, but there is a nation wide back order lol. I have a question and hoping you can help out .. i have a 2021 tacoma RWD .. i bought a 3” suspension lift kit ( not installed yet ) and planning to get 17x9 with an offset of -38 with 285 70R 17 will that give me rubbing problem or it would be a good fit .. i like my wheels to stick out from the body thats why i wanna go with -38 offset .. please help me out

@Kelden Dance Depends on the vehicle. Tacoma power is anemic to begin with so a re-gear would absolutely help. But it's expensive.

I'm curious what MPGs you'll get with the re-gear and that wheel/tire/suspension setup with the bit of extra weight you've got. Awesome truck!
We have a similar setup on our taco and it gets around 15-16 mpg

Old man emu light duty and the deavers are both pretty good. I will say the deavers feel a bit smoother though 🤙

Just got me a set of Falcon T8 Seekers! Did you install longer studs when you installed? Seems as if the studs from factory are not long enough to fully thread lugs.
You gotta use aftermarket lug nuts for them, the description of the product on our website outlines the dimensions but I’m pretty sure you can buy them at any hardware/ auto shop 🤙

This is a pretty inspirational video, I've recently purchased a 2020 Tacoma Crew Cab, 6.1' bed. It had a front end collision and needs an entire new frame, but there is a nation wide back order lol. Would love some diagrams or schematics of the engine bay, frame for a 3rd gen Tacoma if you happen to have them!

I have a question and hoping you can help out .. i have a 2021 tacoma RWD .. i bought a 3” suspension lift kit ( not installed yet ) and planning to get 17x9 with an offset of -38 with 285 70R 17 will that give me rubbing problem or it would be a good fit .. i like my wheels to stick out from the body thats why i wanna go with -38 offset .. please help me out
This will probably cause some slight rubbing, but you could fix it with the same kit we put on this taco, we’ve got a video on it on our channel 🤙
