This is by no means meant to provide a direct translation. I did not do majority of the English translation of the song, I just revised lyrics from a previous English translation, which can be found here, much credit and thanks to the original translator: deathnotemusic...
I revised the lyrics in my own interpretation so people could sing along in English easier, also to make some parts more interesting when some of the translated lyrics got repetitive in wording, or when I had reason to believe the translation to be inaccurate.
I couldn't find the original performance with the Japanese version of the song plus subs, so I just compiled the elements I found online together so people could enjoy the performance in all its (mostly) original awesomeness.

I love how Ryuk sees this as a comedy because he is bored, after all. Whereas Rem sees this as a tragedy, because she’s seen Galus die for Misa because of how infatuated he was with her.
That’s what make these two such a strange duo. Ryuk just sees us humans, not knowing everything is pointless in the grand scheme of things, thinking we have a great destiny. REM just pities it. Just watching ants thinking we have a great site, yet we are so simple.

I can't decide which version I like better. In both Rukk (because Idk how to spell his name) is delightfully cynical. While the other (who's name I can't remember) in o e version is pretty hopeful while in the other is rather despairing. Both are good looks

I honestly like the English version of this better because it feels more like a joke to Ryuk. He makes jokes and plays on words and he seems more teasing. You get the feeling that he really doesn't take this seriously. Here he's just kind of laughing a lot. Although I do like the line 'let's have some fun with them'

I'm obsessed with the drastic difference from Rem's canon design in the Manga and anime and musical Rem. Musical rem looks so elegant / like a classic depiction of a goddess but drawn Rem looks more like Ryuk 💀💀 not that I'm mad I love musical Rem's design I do like that it's different from Ryuk's since Shinigami's don't all look the same

To me, the vibes are so similar, yet so different than the English version. The lyrics to this one seem more sinister and melancholy, while the English version's lyrics give more of a vibe of toying or playing around with the concepts of little lives that don't matter too much. The Japanese version seems gives more of an angry disappointed parent type tone, or a tone of an evil mastermind wanting to take over the world, while the English version gives more of a bored godly tone, or a power trip vibe, if that makes sense! Even though both could be considered the same

its very interesting to compare the translation of the OG japannesse lyrics with the english version of the lyrics, well its clear that the timing wouldn't work with a straight translation they did get what feels like a lot of the same emotions out of it and so it must of been alot of good work from the song writer who did it
