Summary : Deep in the forest, sealed away lie demons. Creature (A.k.a Tim) - the skeleton creature - and Thing - the horns lady - have been there for eternity. They can observe the human realms through small window like portals, but they cannot interfere. Tim is quite happy to be a spectator, amused by the small creatures outside of their world. Thing is restless, wanting nothing but something new. In one of their usual meetings, Tim gives Thing an idea that might just lead to their escape. She might be able to get a mortal to free them. All she needs is to find one who will likely make the mistake. They're only human, after all.
They expect a HUMAN to follow their plan? Im sorry, all this time and you still seem to not understand humanity's potential for f*ck ups. We're more likely to get stuck with them than anything else
A demon and a skeleton chilling and being in love needs to be something I see more off, the aesthetic of it is just immaculate. Or, at least the hellish alternative.
I am definitely making these two some of the big bads in my world. This setup is too glorious not to use. I've been thinking of different ways to mess with people and trick them into loosing these two upon the world.
Thank you for inspiring me to create a BBEG god split into two people on eitherside of a fabricated war in order to remain in power over both sides without being questioned, simply from the thought of imagining them ruminate over their respective "mortal subjects" in this manner. They will not go to waste.
I love how the seem to genuinely enjoy each other, and when Thing expresses a desire to explore the human realm Creature offers an option (even if halfheartedly, he still listens and seems to care)
am I the only one getting massive "loving reaper" vibes. If you dont know what that is, its a webtoon, it makes me cry regularly. Its about a loving reaper who is forced to do his job, whether animal or human eventually, all things big and small die, but this comic is focused on telling the stories where it was usually humans that sped up the animals passing in some way. Reindeer who get caught in fishing nets, animals left outside in the cold by their humans, abandoned pets (anything from rabbits to dogs and cats). Its soo good if you can get past the tears.
@DraconicRamen have you read it?? If thats something you really like reading about, I also suggest "the little trash maid." It's about a mermaid who lives in the sea but it's polluted, very polluted. She wears a 7/11 bag as a shirt, and her family is not unaffected by the pollution either. The author also donates to charities that help the planet, the author published the book as an e book to help cut down on unnecessary waste (ie publishing the book on tree corpses, which will eventually end in a landfill anyways.) Other great webtoons if you need suggestions are Adventures of God, it follows God, Jesus, Gabe (as in the archangel gaberiel,) Satan of course and his Gabe equivalent Ebag, the only one it doesn't follow is Mary. We don't know where she is, there is also purple hyacinth, good cop teams up with a hit man with a sword, to take down a terrorist organization that has terrorized the city, the cops and sometimes even its own members. Another one of my favorites is cursed princess club. It follows a princess who has an absolutely beautiful family, as in they look really pretty. It's a wholesome comic. The main charecter is not conventially attractive and she stumbles on a club for cursed princesses and they think she's a witch at first. And it follows her path of self acceptance and self love. Those are probably my five favorites. I read A LOT of webtoons.

The song helped me came up with the idea of two bored gods. The male voice being the god of stagnation while the female is the goddess of change. The two would be singing/dancing through a city unseen by those poor in life. The end of the song be the two having a wicked idea of placing a tower for all to climb to get a wish granted by the pair

In a dnd campaign I’m running, the final antagonist for the party is a cabal of liches, one of them is a vampire queen who also ascended to lichdom, I could see her singing this song with another member of their cabal
The best part is in 2:18 when Thing expressed a new and intriguing emotion. You can tell that she’s curious and yearning for something more. But, she still returns to that devilish attitude

BeowulfYT when he sees anything GeckoGaming related: "He's just a kind soul, standing still, doomed to live pushing us trannies up hill! Only nice, after all, He gives and we take, hoping someone will help break our fall!" And then proceeds to call him slurs. 💀
The Premise here somewhat reminded me of a character I'm trying to write for a far off potential homebrew setting of DnD. Part of Faerun collides with Earth after Gruumsh's defeat at the hand of some legendary heroes and the Gruumsh decides "fuck it" and casts a rock off into the cosmos with some followers on it. A HUGE portion of Earth life is killed as not only a giant fucking meteor hits the planet, but then grey orcs and other nasties spill out into the world alongside a tidal wave of magic that hadn't ever touched the ball of dirt before. The magic coalesces in a central point where the meteor lands and connects the two planets through the realms via a portal. Dragons of course come first and do what they want to do, including a certain nation taking quite kindly to hunting and taming these new beasts. To stop the magic from boring a hole straight through the world, or worse bringing the entirety of Faerun through, a lone human takes a massive portion of magic into themselves and learns to become a lich. What do they do with this power? Preserve the knowledge of ages past and the history of their old world as it slowly becomes more and more intertwined with the alien races and peoples of a far distant planet, forever cursed to live in undeath and watch from afar as new stories are written and new history made.
I love how the expressions manage to take the same lines from the original song and change their meanings entirely! Whereas the usual lines have Rem taking a fascination with human and how they live their lives and Ryuk having a disdain for humans, seeing them only as a source of entertainment for himself, you can see the dynamic flipped on its head - Tim, similarly but different from Ryuk, mostly sees humans as a source of entertainment, but doesn't seem to harbor many negative opinions on them specifically, aside from questioning the lives they live. Thing, however, harbors resentment for them, living a life that she can never live, doing things that she can't. I love this! If I've misinterpreted these two pls just ignore me lmao--
I love finding animations like this. Especially when I have zero context on any pervious backstory, for it lets my mind create a story out of what I see. Like here I manage to make a story in my head about two demons sealed away together in years past, both longing for freedom. To past the time they sing a song, and during that day a human happen to hear it. They enjoy it and come to look for where the song came from. Though no matter where how hard they look they can never find the origin, so to preserve it they try to sing it to themselves everyday near the site. They have a difficult time for it some language they never hear, though they slowly get it right. Eventually this becomes a sorta ritual for them, to sing the song in forest. Never understanding the words they say. Eventually others hear them and come join eventually growing the group. They all desire to just me the creator of the song just to thank them for making something so beautiful. They wouldn’t care if it were human, inanimate object, or monster from the old fairytales. They just have a desire to thank them. This then I use a launching point for many stories. None of it gets written down but it’s always fun for me to do. So thank you for making this.
I find it interesting that both within the original context, and with only voices, the first voice (ryuk?) Is more sinister, with the second more melancholic, but the animation switches that using there expressions, the line "but maybe death can release something more than we share" becomes much more malicious with an enthusiastic smile and "I really don't know and don't care" seems like an attempt at placation with the nervous sweating. Making tim seem more naive, and thing more malignant, entirely different than the relationship between the original characters the voices come from.

I've been listening to this song so many times all just to watch this animation again, props to you, this is gorgeous! I love the characterization between the two, Tim being so amused by everything, so ultimately uncaring, while Thing appears to be a lot more manipulative and driven. Which makes sense, one's an undead with literally no needs except for something to entertain his mind, while the other still seems to have flesh (maybe). Still, the fact that you made the pretty demon lady without eyes works in a way I cannot put into words.. it makes her more otherwordly, more fitting of her name as "Thing". The fact that the only feature on her face is a mouth that has some pretty wicked fangs really doesn't help her case either. dk where I am going with this ultimately so I am going to just end it with please keep up the work, it's amazing!
Really good animation. Its interesting, how you switched sides. In most animation i seen, its the male voice thats evil, mocking humans and looking down on them. Woman is trying to change his view. Yet in this, the man still sees humans as a ants, but he,s happy to just watch them, while the woman wants more than that.
Now that I've seen the oc explanation video, I don't know whether or not to laugh or be terrified that these giant beings are just dancing trapped in the forest somewhere...
this wouldve been an amazing disney villain song for a villain power couple against the main couple that wouldve been great! also in my head cannon this is the villain song for the original version of wish with the evil king and queen and our main couple of asha and the starboy which i'll call Earendel cause one it sounds like a Tolkienian elf and its the wishing star AND its the name of the nation in frozen so perfect combo XD Fantastic animated though too really captures the nature of the song and of the characters you have in a pair of eternal watchers of humanity who've gotten so fucking cynical because of it XD

The Premise here somewhat reminded me of a character I'm trying to write for a far off potential homebrew setting of DnD. Part of Faerun collides with Earth after Gruumsh's defeat at the hand of some legendary heroes and the Gruumsh decides "fuck it" and casts a rock off into the cosmos with some followers on it. A HUGE portion of Earth life is killed as not only a giant fucking meteor hits the planet, but then grey orcs and other nasties spill out into the world alongside a tidal wave of magic that hadn't ever touched the ball of dirt before. The magic coalesces in a central point where the meteor lands and connects the two planets through the realms via a portal. Dragons of course come first and do what they want to do, including a certain nation taking quite kindly to hunting and taming these new beasts. To stop the magic from boring a hole straight through the world, or worse bringing the entirety of Faerun through, a lone human takes a massive portion of magic into themselves and learns to become a lich. What do they do with this power? Preserve the knowledge of ages past and the history of their old world as it slowly becomes more and more intertwined with the alien races and peoples of a far distant planet, forever cursed to live in undeath and watch from afar as new stories are written and new history made.
I love how the expressions manage to take the same lines from the original song and change their meanings entirely! Whereas the usual lines have Rem taking a fascination with human and how they live their lives and Ryuk having a disdain for humans, seeing them only as a source of entertainment for himself, you can see the dynamic flipped on its head - Tim, similarly but different from Ryuk, mostly sees humans as a source of entertainment, but doesn't seem to harbor many negative opinions on them specifically, aside from questioning the lives they live. Thing, however, harbors resentment for them, living a life that she can never live, doing things that she can't. I love this!

I love finding animations like this. Especially when I have zero context on any pervious backstory, for it lets my mind create a story out of what I see.
Like here I manage to make a story in my head about two demons sealed away together in years past, both longing for freedom. To past the time they sing a song, and during that day a human happen to hear it. They enjoy it and come to look for where the song came from. Though no matter where how hard they look they can never find the origin, so to preserve it they try to sing it to themselves everyday near the site. They have a difficult time for it some language they never hear, though they slowly get it right. Eventually this becomes a sorta ritual for them, to sing the song in forest. Never understanding the words they say. Eventually others hear them and come join eventually growing the group. They all desire to just me the creator of the song just to thank them for making something so beautiful. They wouldn’t care if it were human, inanimate object, or monster from the old fairytales. They just have a desire to thank them. This then I use a launching point for many stories. None of it gets written down but it’s always fun for me to do.

I find it interesting that both within the original context, and with only voices, the first voice (ryuk?) Is more sinister, with the second more melancholic, but the animation switches that using there expressions,
the line "but maybe death can release something more than we share" becomes much more malicious with an enthusiastic smile and "I really don't know and don't care" seems like an attempt at placation with the nervous sweating.
Making tim seem more naive, and thing more malignant, entirely different than the relationship between the original characters the voices come from.
Thank you!! I tried to find a cover of the song where the voice for Rem (i think) was more malicious, but I loved the original voices so much that I tried to switch it up just with their expressions so I'm glad that's how it came across!!!

I've been listening to this song so many times all just to watch this animation again, props to you, this is gorgeous! I love the characterization between the two, Tim being so amused by everything, so ultimately uncaring, while Thing appears to be a lot more manipulative and driven. Which makes sense, one's an undead with literally no needs except for something to entertain his mind, while the other still seems to have flesh (maybe).
Still, the fact that you made the pretty demon lady without eyes works in a way I cannot put into words.. it makes her more otherwordly, more fitting of her name as "Thing". The fact that the only feature on her face is a mouth that has some pretty wicked fangs really doesn't help her case either.

Really good animation. Its interesting, how you switched sides. In most animation i seen, its the male voice thats evil, mocking humans and looking down on them. Woman is trying to change his view. Yet in this, the man still sees humans as a ants, but he,s happy to just watch them, while the woman wants more than that.

I'm kinda picturing a part where Thing is planning to betray Tim (having grown tired of his company long ago). And then when she nearly has victory, Tim ruins everything and gets them both sealed back up. Not because he saw her betrayal coming, but because he thought it would cause the most entertainment for himself.
