Did you get your wheel wrapped some where or did you do that yourself? My CG’s wheel has seen better days. Awesome video btw, definitely doing this. Love the content.
Thanks! It's an OEM 01-02 Acura MDX steering wheel that I stitched red on top of the stitching already there. I like the MDX wheel better since its a bit thicker than the accord ones.
My question is: if i just take the chip out of the older key and put it in the new one, the new one can be any type of flip key o shell? If that’s is correct i must pay just for the flip key and cut it instead of that + programming a new chip? Because in my country it’s expensive that work.
Hey, yes as long as the old key is working and programmed to the vehicle before. If you extract the chip, make sure the orientation is correct and it has to be pretty close to the actual key blade itself.
Yeah definitely worth it though. After losing my first flip key, I missed having it since it was nice not scratching stuff in your pocket when it's folded in.
I just went to a local locksmith. I'd had a bad experience before where a locksmith didn't cut it properly so keep that in mind when doing so since you'd have to buy another replacement blades if that happens.
My factory key fob looks different from yours and doesn’t fit this mod 😢 it’s a original Honda key fob not sure why it’s different from yours mine is flat no lil hump on the bottom like yours
Nope, the AP2 has the new laser cut keys and cost too much to get cut so I decided against it. AP1 has the same type key as my Accord and should be the same way. The S2000s should be chipped but just keep in mind those keys are more expensive than most Hondas if you plan on taking out the chip like I did.
I have the same car - but I'm confused: even if I have a regular key and not keyless entry, this will still work with this external key fob?
I want to try it! Thanks man.

@@statuskuogarage7462 dope! I know what I’ll be doing in the future to mine.
Hey my friend .. How to make copy or program "unclonable" key ? Actually "hona" or other unclonable ?

looks like a lot of work but it does look really cool

Where did you get it cut?

Does the trunk button say "Option"? if it does, it could mean that it is the dealer add-on alarm rather than the factory keyless entry.
@@statuskuogarage7462 no it doesn’t I’ve been emailing the company there saying it should work but no luck yet
Did you try this to your S2000? Does the S have a chip also?

Ive read the key chip somehow doesnt get detected
It will if you have it in the correct orientation. If it does not work, you'd have to flip it 180 degrees.
