I had an '83 and loved that bike to death. Out of all the bikes I owned it was my favorite. If ever there was a bike that defined "all-rounder" that was it. CB650SC Nighthawk. God I wish Honda would make that bike again.
I got an 85 nighthawk and I love it to bits and pieces, it has a major exhaust leak from the bottom and the bracket is loose at the top of the header tube, and it sounds like a pissed off Ducati or something and my Buddy took it for a spin and holy smokes was it loud as fuck, he didn’t even rev out each gear either it’s just fuckin loud 🤣
I had one exactly like that. I should have kept it. Had it 19 years, put 58,000 miles on it. Never had to Do anything but maintenance as it got older had some electrical probs easily fixed...needed 8 tools that it carried. Fast, light and agile. I wanted a Harley, I've had 11 years now, I like it shoulda kept the nighthawk too, which I sold for $1500 more than I bought it for.
jacob donovan Yep, all stock! Baffles aren’t even drill out. I like making these videos because I feel the same way - no idea what my bike sounds like from the outside.
Stock wheels! I’ve always loved the design of the 650 wheels. I painted them gold. Powdercoat would have been more durable, but paint was easy and looked good.
if it was taken care of, you really cant go wrong with an 80s honda. ease of maintenence, fuel economy, fairly light, available parts, handle well, & for there size give you big grins at wide open throttle.
This video is great, no frills, just sound. I've got an 85 myself. Didn't know how good these sounded stock from afar
I had an 85 too👍🏻Midnight Blue. Now riding a 2004 Vivid Black HD 1200 Sportster Custom.
Your video brings back memories...
I had a '83 back in the day.
Love the low maintenance (hydraulic valves, shaft drive)
Thanks!!

Really appreciate the video. Buying my first Nighthawk soon, need the motivation til I’m able to drive it!
This is a wonderful video with a great bike! I have a nighthawk myself and I fully enjoy the riding experience and sound!
Прекрасный и надёжный мотоцикл! У меня такой же 1985-го года. Отличный байк! Один из самых лучших!
What's with the Canadian geese squawking in the back ground? LoL
I would love more videos on this nighthawk!
Had a new 83 back in the day. Sounds like I remember. Had it a few years before getting a V65.
That's a pretty neat video there my friend! I'm gonna get one of these!
Nice sound. Nice bike.
Nice riding, it makes a good noise.
Iowa Boys 🤙

Muy buen sonido, puro motor, sin necesidad de usar terminal en el escape.
Nice!
where did you get the aftermarket turn signals? I like the smaller trim look.

Is the exhaust stock? Cause holy hell I never realized what my nighthawk sounded like from far away without a helmet lol

I know this video is old, but are those stock wheels you painted or are they aftermarket? That gold color is gorgeous! Great video by the way.

Mikael Vroom looks great!
What model number bars are those?
Very Nice video and sound ofcourse. What kind of handel bar is mounted?
Rob van Tol They are Daytona-style bars. They sit at a nice height, very comfy.

Can't remember my bike sounding duckish??
Quack quack.
Engine sounds like it needs a valve adjustment. ;)
Tell that to the hydraulic valves. ;)
