I have a question (just started training and am reading tons). Let’s say, I get a contract for cleaning. I find a sub-contractor to clean for (making this up so probably way off): $2,000 / month = 24,000 a year. 5 year contract = 120,000 If this is what the subcontractor requests, what typically should we markup the contract as to make a profit as the business making the bid? Is anything flagged if it’s a certain percent? Or do we add this onto the monthly fees that the subcontractor gave us. Thanks in advance!!

Are you saying that we pay the vendors/subcontractors BEFORE we get paid by the government, after we are awarded the contract? Maybe I'm not understanding the question: "Is there a way to get a portion of the contract awarded to satisfy the sub to fulfill the contract." Your response, "Daniel like you work as soon as you get the contract like it's up to you to figure..." What do you mean by this? I am interpreting this as, we are awarded the contract and we pay the subs/vendors upfront before we even see a penny. Please clarify?
