    200k b303 cam with tfs smog heads and a v1 s trim on 12lbs. 538 rwhp on a mustang dyno. Never split the block. Built a 331 with afr 205 heads and a solid roller with a ysi trim and made 603rwhp on the same dyno same boost and the car felt slower. Less is more. B cam small heads boost and a tuner that knows his stuff with a a9l.

      Keep in mind before you choose your boost option that centrifugal superchargers create a linear powerband meaning the power increases in a straight line til redline. What that means for acceleration is that it's not as fast as the peak numbers would indicate. What you really want to look at on your dyno sheet is the average power in your full throttle powerband (4,500 to 6,000 rpm or whatever it is for you). Roots style superchargers make a ton of average power and so do NA cars if done right.

      Don't believe there Cast in 93, they were Hypereutectic, if i spelled that correctly. It's better than Cast Pistons, Not as Strong as Forgered Pistons, But can run tighter Cylinder Wall Clearences, cause they don't Expand as Much as Forgered Pistons.

    This dyno result baffles me a bit. Why didn't the torque curve keep rising due to the centrifugal design?
    Most centrifugal s/c applications I've seen have torque curves that rise to almost redline.

    • @FiveBoroNative
      @FiveBoroNative 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you look the baseline curves, it seems likely that they left the stock cam in the block and the torque and horsepower curves under boost will be lifted, but maintain the same overall shape.

      @@nickamarit I know where you are going, but because the centrifugal has rising boost with rpm, the torque and hp curves will remain very similar, but angled up to the right.
      It really depends on the curve you start with. A low duration cam (like the stock one) will probably have the torque higher than the horsepower, but with a centrifugal added the curves will look like someone just twisted the picture up to the right slightly like in the video.
