    Great job ma, will one have to stop the compression and do the handover?

    • @unifiedosce5580
      @unifiedosce5580  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Once the accessor tells you that help has arrived you stop the compression and give hand over but in a real hospital setting someone else will take over the compression while you give hand over .

    Thanks so much for being our well wisher. I have failed the skill ,I found the patient in bed on a soft mattress not firm at all .
    Patient had a pillow which I removed .
    The comment was shallow compressions , What was required of me ? To request examiner to put the patient on a flat surface rather the bed with a soft mattress ? Kindly guide me on what to next time i go back for my resit in two weeks time.

    Thank you so much ma for the class. Please What is the latest development, am I going to be the one to call for 2222 and get the bag valve mask or I will send the assessor. My second question: am I going to hold and use the ambu bag myself or just verbalise?

    • @edwardgladys1336
      @edwardgladys1336 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes you will ask the help (which is the assesor) to call 2222 and when him/her comes with the ambul bag, you will give the 2 rescue breaths but she will assist you.

    • @edwardgladys1336

      You will also verbalize while performing the procedure and also hand over if time permits

    Do I need to just verbalize that I am going to press the emergency buzzer or do I need to press it

    Thank you mam. Mam, you didn't check carotid pulse. What I know is that we have to check for carotid pulse. When we noticed no pulse that's the time we start compression. Am I right mam?

      Hi, you're right that was in the old marking criteria but the new method is the one shown in this video.Thanks.

      It is not compulsory, some assessors may ask.

    I think Look, listen and feel should be done at the same time. So, the candidate needs to face the patient’s body, take chin close to her mouth as possible(to feel te breath) while looking at the movements and listening to the breathing. I prefer to follow the order “look-listen-feel” cos it guides me on the direction of my face. I’ve heard that someone may get fail by looking the opposite direction.
    My tip for this is to remember DRS ABCD. D- danger, R-response, S- shout for help/buzzer, C- CPR(if not breathing)/recovery position(if breathing), D- do fibrillation(not done in the case of OSCE)
    The children song - baby shark helps your know the pace at which CPR should be done.

      Thanks for your observation and recommendation.You're absolutely correct.Look listen and feel MUST be done while facing your patient's body.
