Hi all, "Please kindly note for Oxygen administration based on a recent update read the prescription, select the flow rate based on the rate recommended on the prescription.
I had a resit of this station yesterday and not yet convinced on how to do d checks in terms of d document am I expected to mention other medications before oxygen which was what I did before commencement
Oh sorry to hear that, yes you are expected to read the medication chart completely and confirm it’s valid and legible. Your question isn’t really clear, but you’ll receive a report on why you’re required to have a resit.
Hi, in OSCE you are expected to verbalise that you will re-assess to demonstrate the knowledge that you will check to ensure the set target is maintained.
Hello Ma. Please as oxygen therapy is treated same as implementation. We are supposed to do a second ID check before administering the oxygen right? I mean asking for name etc just after gathering equipment?
In prescription chary it says nasal cannula but you are using reservoir mask. Im soo confused. How we know which mask we have to use in procedure? Is it non breatheable, nasal cannula, reservoir mask or ??
Hi, do not get confused. It is important that you read your prescription chart and choose the flow rate & method of delivery based on the prescription. Based on the description in the marking criteria for oxygen therapy, it refers to covering the one way valve until the reservoir bag is fully inflated, as per this description it is only the reservoir mask (RM) or the non rebreather mask that fits in to this description , set the flow rate as stated in your prescription likely 10-15lL/m.
@@unifiedosce5580 thankyou soo much. I want to ask you 1 more thing. Now it become 10 new profesional values and 10 evidence based series from November. Now its a lot and can't memorized all or if you have any trick plz do share? please reply my cmnt . Thankyou

If am asked to give medication as oxygen Am i suppose to mention other drug charts alongside or will i focus only on oxygen drug chart? Secondly, will i be given a scenario as regards to oxygen administration or will i be given a medication chart? Thirdly, in a community diabetic patient scenario in osce Metformin 1g BD, was given at 8:00 am And the second one will be due on 18:00, which is my time. Am i suppose to to administer it?? Does it have time bound as paracetamol and other drugs that have time bound?
Hi, if you have a multiple charts, please read every aspect of the charts. Sometimes, you may have a single chart. You will be given a scenario and the charts. It is safe to give the metformin. It does not have to be strictly 12 hours interval.
