    Thanks for the video!
    I have noticed that the patient’s weight is 45 kg, and the dose of paracetamol is 1 g, while it should be 500 mg. We can’t code PRN and we need to escalate. If I am wrong please correct me.🙏

    • @unifiedosce5580
      @unifiedosce5580  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      For the video I used 55kg , but following the chart the weight is 45kg ,so if that happens in your exam you need to escalate to the medical team to prescribe the write dose and also you need to escalate the 1g that was given earlier to the NIC as well as the medical team and also inform your patient about it.

    • @unifiedosce5580

      Hi, Yes you are right, you can briefly talk about that. However, it is not enough reason not to administer the medications.

    Please if a medication due at your time 12.00 is in the once only medication segment but it is also in the regular medication segment and has an X sign for today at 8:00. What does that mean please ? Will I still go ahead and give or code ?

    • @unifiedosce5580
      @unifiedosce5580  ปีที่แล้ว

      In OSCE if a medicine is administered before your time it will be duely signed. If you have same medication due under stat and regular(if other criteria are valid), you can give the stát dose and give a code to the regular dose.

    Hello kindly reply to me
    If oral morphine sulfate stat dose has been given today 8.00am and again it is in PRN section and now the time is 11.00am( patient complained pain with 5/10)
    What should I do?
    -not administer and omit drug from PRN section???

    • @unifiedosce5580
      @unifiedosce5580  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, 4 hours is needed before given the next dose, except if the prescription says otherwise. If it is under prn, mi need to code, but verbalise the reason and Escalate if there are no other analgesic due.

    Do we need to concern pharmacy check? How do we think prescription is valid and legible

    • @unifiedosce5580
      @unifiedosce5580  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      All the rights of medication, signed with bleep number of the prescriber.
      If all this is valid, pharmacy check is not enough reason notvto give.

  • @user-xh3yg9oc2l
    @user-xh3yg9oc2l 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    • @unifiedosce5580
      @unifiedosce5580  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi , in OSCE you are likely to have the finish date or stated as to continue . Even if by chance it is not stated, try to weigh the risk, as long as other RIGHTS are valid /legible .

      If the digoxin is due at your time and you're happy with all the 7 rights of drug administration, just confirm the patients HR with your accessor , if it's higher than 60bpm then give.
