If you'er interested in another 80's movie with this vibe, I highly recommend "Explorers" 1985. Directed by Joe Dante with River Pheonix, and Ethan Hawk.
When I watch movies with you I sometimes wonder to myself "Why couldn't I have met a nice cute geek like her back in the day?". Then when you said "I don't know what Rice-A-Roni is" I get snapped back into reality and realize we would never work out...
Brilliant Jen❤️I was just 9 when this was 1st released and I still remember it like yesterday, I was completely captivated by it, I was a similar age to the main character and of course this was absolutely going to happen to me too😂😂👍🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Hey jen, love your reaction to this movie brings me back to when I was a kid I would like to suggest a movie called The explorers it's another adventure movie similar to this I think you would enjoy it. Also I've heard you mention quite a few times about being a musician I would like to suggest you check out the movie Amadeus, as a Young musician I found it quite inspiring and I think you will love it. Hope to see them both on here sometime soon
My parents took me to see this in the theatre when it came out. I was 9. Added fuel to the fire of my growing love for sci-fi. Thanks for the memories. I have been a cinephile since birth 😉
The mom is Veronica Cartwright (Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Alien). Her sister is Angela Cartwright (Penny Robinson) from the original 60s TV show "Lost in Space". This and "The Black Hole" (1979) are two of my favorite older Disney Sci--fi films.
I've suggested this to a few reactors but I think this is the first actual reaction. Pioneering CGI (before T2) and referenced at the end of Galaxy Quest where they use the fireworks. The story behind the CGI (and the non-CGI effects that look CGIish) is pretty interesting too.
HAAA "These are uncharted systems"!! No kidding 🤣 So is most of our oceans!! DANG I haven't seen this movie since it came out!! Thanks Jenn and Patreon!! Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎
When max is asking questions about human things he doesn't understand it really reminds me of bridges In Starman ( 1984 ) Super under rated John carpenter flick

(1982), Flash Gordon (1980), Labyrinth (1986), Legend (1985), The Dark Crystal (1982), Willow (1988), Howard the Duck (1986), My Stepmother is an Alien (1988), Time Bandits (1981). Just a few suggestions for future watches 😀.
The Last Starfighter is a cult classic, great cast. If you liked Flight of the Navigator, you'll love Explorers (1985), I promise you'll enjoy it. Another one you'll love is My Science Project (1985).Anyway, loved the review, love you, take care and stay safe ❤️
If you want a really good follow-up 80s' Space type kids adventure movie, go with the 1985 "EXPLORERS". Starring a VERY young Ethan Hawk & River Phoenix, it's really the epitome of Flight-of-Fancy childhood adventure movies. And given that you really liked Starfighter & Navigator, I'm sure you'll love Explorers too!

I just seem to remember it getting almost as much sequel overload as Land Before Time did. Only ever saw the first one of that as well. But I think it got something insane like 15 sequels.
@@MuljoStpho No. Brave Little Toaster on got two sequels. "Goes to Mars" and "To The Rescue" Obviously neither as good as the original.
*The Good Son* (1993), I think, would make for a good reaction.
«Explorers» from 1985 is another movie along the same line starring young Ethan Hawke & River Phoenix
Thanks for reaction Jen . It's one of my favourites as a kid .
"well exuuuuse me!" was taken from Steve Martin when he was a standup comedian in the 1970's....
My favorite part of this movie growing up was that David is from Ft. Lauderdale FL which is where I grew up.
Sarah Jessica Parker back when she was just a filly.😂
I had this on VHS and no joke I used to watch this movie weekly. This movie probably still holds my record for the most watched movie in my lifetime.
You have to use scotch tape to repair your most watched tapes as a kid or it doesnt count.
Same, this, A Goofy Movie and Terminator 2. I watched all of them until the tapes wore out and couldn't be watched any more.
D.A.R.Y.L would also be a cool flick to react to.
The Dad, played by Cliff De Young, played Brad Majors in Shock Treatment the "sequel" to Rocky Horror
Hi Jen hope you are having an great and awesome day ❤
I LOOOOOVVVVED this movie as a kid!!!
My parents took me to see this in the theatre when it came out. I was 9. Added fuel to the fire of my growing love for sci-fi. Thanks for the memories. I have been a cinephile since birth 😉
My favorite Alan silvestri soundtrack 😊
I watched this ystdy ❤
Being a sci fi fan I loved this picture for the ship, it morphed in so many ways. great movie. I watched it on Cinemax many times.
This is a GREAT GREAT GREAT 80s flick. I remember seeing the premiere on the Disney channel back in the 80s
Saw this one in theaters! A lot of fun! God, im OLD! LOL
HAAA "These are uncharted systems"!! No kidding 🤣 So is most of our oceans!! DANG I haven't seen this movie since it came out!! Thanks Jenn and Patreon!! Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎
Please, please, please watch "Starman". It's an early.Jeff Bridges movie and it is SO good!
When max is asking questions about human things he doesn't understand it really reminds me of bridges In Starman ( 1984 )
Super under rated John carpenter flick
The Explorers 1985 , River phoenix and Ethan Hawke, SPACE CAMP 1986 , [Leaf phoenix aka Joaquin phoenix ] Lea Thompson , Kate Capshaw
Re-Watching the re-watch, LOL Love the reaction, especially the beginning. A DOGGONE Conclusion that you would HOWL with laughter and chuckle with DogToys, SQUEAKING all the way thru. So much fun, Thank you,Jen. 😊 🐶 👽
Another great reaction. Some more family friendly films from the 80s i love are Explorers (1985), Space Camp (1986), Harry and the Hendersons (1987), Starman (1984), Cocoon (1985), Cocoon-The Return (1989), The Secret of N.I.M.H.
I would highly recommend Explorers from 1985 with a young Ethan Hawke!! Great space adventure movie!
I am 42, and I can proudly say I still watch this movie. It was the movie that got me interested in Sci-Fi.
EXPLORERS! you'll love it. Underrated and incredible 80s kids adventure film.
My brother and I still quote this movie to this day. I have it on DVD now and have shared it with all my kids.
Love it! :D
Compliance...
Oooohhh I love this film and Jenn for all her mannerisms ... Lolz Thanks for being a SUPERSTAR Jenn!! I totally recommend Short Circuit, I don't think I have seen anyone react to Johnny Number 5.
Saw this movie with my dad when it made its way to the dollar theaters in the 80s. This and The Boy Who Could Fly and The Last Starfighter were some of my favorite movies at the time.
