Hi there, on 3:47 you said that you can't charge and record in the same time but I find that incorrect. I use 13000 mAh power bank with my GoPro Hero 9 while recording. I even removed battery and tried recording without it and it can do that also. Maybe you have some old FW on your GP9
Interesting. We have the latest firmware that was released in October 2020 and still find that we can't charge and film at the same time. Thanks for sharing.
I think in this video you stated you cannot charge the go pro and film at the same time. Has that changed with the Go Pro 10? I am thinking of purchasing one to use to mount on the wing of an aircraft which makes it kinda tough to change batteries as I am not planning to be a wing walker anytime soon. Thanks in advance for your answer.
I have been wondering if the plastic GoPro mount would work for the GoPro Hero 8; didn't really want to buy the metal one as well as the GoPro mic adapter, as they're almost the same price as the Media Mod. This was a very good, and informative video.
The plastic GoPro cage? Unfortunately, Ulanzi didn't make a plastic version for the Hero 8 -- I'm happy they made one for the Hero 9. The metal is nice, but it's SO HEAVY.
@@Gemini_Connect hmm...ok I’ll have to re-check. I really thought I saw one for the Hero 8. That’s one thing I do enjoy about this camera is the wide array of accessories made by GoPro or third parties

Very informative. Lots of good tips to improve my vlogging and protect my Gopro 9. Do you think Feiyu Tech will come out with an adapter for their G5/6 gimbals?
Good question! I hope so -- really want to try their walking gimbal. But it looks like so many gimbal makers stopped making gimbals for GoPro after the Hero 7 😪
This was a great video and is helping me make the decision to buy the Gopro. Also are you using a gopro to film this video. Or is it a different camera? I have noticed that the gopro doesn't do as while indoors or low light areas.
For moto vlogging, you'll probably want a lavalier or lapel mic. You could probably get away with using a wired one, or if you have extra budget, a wireless system like the Rode Wireless Go or Saramonic Blink 500 would give you more freedom. Either way, you'll need the Media Mod or Mic Adapter to use an external mic, and you probably will not want to use the internal mic.
This was really helpful as I'm just getting started, so thank you. One question...I'm a cave diver, and the helmet mounts just won't stick to my helmet lol. Any thoughts on underwater mounts for helmets? If you check my channel you can see what I do but suction cups won't work because of changing pressures. I'm thinking about bolting on?
Hi!! Loving your videos, I am wanting to easily go between gopro on the head straps vs on the Nu Grip pole... do you think that the magnetic mount you shared would work for both?? I'm pretty new so want to just use those two options for angle variety :) This magnetic mount is much smaller and hence nicer than the Snap magnetic options I've seen around. What do you think?
Hey I am using GoPro Hero 8 for daily Vlogs for almost 2 months but now got a hole on power button, what should I do now as it's out of warranty and it's no more water proof. Is there any alternate for this or just use waterproof case please help.
Unless you film a lot in wet places, you're probably fine without the waterproof case. But if you absolutely need waterproofing, then the case is the only option I can think of.
whats the best solution for the mic mod or the gopro mic adapter ---- with the gopro10? did they update the firmware for the adapter? or is the 10 mic situation better? is there still no 1/8'' jack?
Got a GoPro9 yesterday and spent 3 hrs setting things up. Charged 2nd battery and the camera is now stuck in an record only state. Camera is fried. So much for the premium feel. Going to n Osmo Action as everyone seems to love that thing. At least it works.

Great information.
Thanks for watching Tim!
Yes, I think that would work, but have not tested it.
I’m about to get my first GoPro cam the hero 9 should I wait for GoPro to release the new 10?
If you can wait until September/October when the Hero 10 should be out, then it's probably a good idea.
Hi which is the best sd card for 10
At the moment, SanDisk A1 cards are best, but we are still testing to verify.
Thank you guys - super great video
whats the best solution for the mic mod or the gopro mic adapter ---- with the gopro10? did they update the firmware for the adapter? or is the 10 mic situation better? is there still no 1/8'' jack?
Media Mod is the best IMO. We always use an external mic as the quality is loads better than the built in mic
@@Gemini_Connect ok so basically just getting the mod for the outputs and then using an external mic/lav? cool :)
same Idea for the 9? im on the hunt for a camera before i take on a nice long hike in spain. . so may go used..
Got a GoPro9 yesterday and spent 3 hrs setting things up. Charged 2nd battery and the camera is now stuck in an record only state. Camera is fried.
So much for the premium feel.
Going to n Osmo Action as everyone seems to love that thing. At least it works.
We just made a video comparing the Osmo Action to the Hero 9 and it's embarrassing how good that nearly 3 year old camera is compared to the newest GoPro 🤦♀️
Thanks mam your video s are awesome keep it up
Another great job with a useful video... I bought an item off your last acc list and one from this! Thanks!
Cool, glad you found it helpful 🙂
What mount would you recommend for time warp off reading where the car will be really bouncy?
Are you mounting outside of the car? If so, definitely Snap Mounts! geni.us/5j6FR7I
Hey Suzi,
Fantastic channel, I just subscribed, you have such a great way of explaining video gear, both you and your husband.
I live in Nova Scotia, Canada ( East coast) my girl friend Jen is from the Philippines and within five years, we plan on living in Palawan Philippines half the year, currently I’m learning and buying equipment so I don’t have such an expense when we retire, plus I need to learn how to use it…and your channel covers so much of this, thanks again for all your research.
