Thank you for including the typed summary pages for each setting. Your content is always well produced and extremely helpful, particularly for folks like me that are just learning. Thank you very much.
@@Gemini_Connect It’s true. My wife commented on how easy it was to watch and understand the content. I’m older and just have shot video on a Sony HDR when the kids were little. Editing was nonexistent or poorly done with flipping screen transitions and that kind of stuff. I am trying to figure out the best way to film our son’s college football and lacrosse games. I just got the Hero 9, so it is very new (the old Sony records in 1080p at 60i but in MTS format - which is a pain). Please consider doing a video on best settings, filters, and simple edits for folks filming their kids football or soccer games. I think you’d get a lot of interest from both old and young parents that want to share those moments with other family and friends. In any event, I will keep watching. Thx.
This was excellent. I especially enjoyd watching after I made these mistakes and acquired some of these accessories like the ND filters. Really commits everything to memory during the learning process
I always learn something when watching one your videos. We have somewhat similar work flows so its easy for me to incorporate many of your setting's in to what your doing. I use the Hero 9 to make not only travel videos, but also to shoot B-Roll for drone channel. Great video, and thanks for sharing.
This is very helpful, thanks for this. I wish i had watched this sooner. I’m a new Gopro user and I have screwed up my footages by using Hypersmooth in low light which resulted in jittery videos. Do you have any tips on how I can save them? 😭
I love your videos, thank you... any videos on GOPROS that lock up or Freeze the display screen?... I have a GOPRO 9 and I have encountered this problem
Being an absolute novice and just bought the GoPro Hero 9 for future vlogging, this video is absolutely amazing ……. One question do you use the light filters on all modes ? And underwater settings please as in stuck in a shark tank …….. Thank you so much…….😘
Hi guys. I have found your videos to be extremely informative and easy to understand. I go back to them when I need to remember something I forgot that I had learned from you. Thank you❤️
Very nice video. Liked and subscribed. I just updated my settings so that I can vlog more and build my following on TH-cam. I will definitely look into the cases and accessories. i had my eyes on the ND filters, so i will look into those as well. Keep up the great content.
Two question, i use my GoPro H9 at my work, and i work in tunnel construction, do you have any tip on settings, all my videos is dark, and its almost impossible to bump it up in post production, (i am pretty much an amateur), and how to get rid of the blinking from led lights? The lights we have are modern led-lights and you get som kind of blinking from them, i guess it has something to do with framrate and the led-lights HZ number? Lasse
Two things affect darkness: ISO and shutterspeed. Try setting ISO Min to 100 and ISO Max to 3200, or even 6400. If that doesn't work, also set the shutterspeed to 1/120, and the resolution to 4K60fps. This will give you the best odds of shooting in low light, BUT if you tinkered with shutterspeed, your footage will be shaky, so I recommend using a gimbal (the Moza Mini P is my favorite for the Hero 9). The blinking LED lights are due to the light bulbs in your workspace. The only way to avoid this is to use a bigger camera like a Sony A7sIII.
Great video! Shooting Cinematic and setting your camera speed let's say 60fps. How do you know which ND filter to use or is this a case of trial and error?
Is there a way to have the camera make up for the lighting? My Google pixel records so much brighter and in focus. How can I get my Go Pro to mirror this?
Thanks again - you are my go to for my new and first Go Pro. However I could not find any mic settings in preferences. Does not seem to matter as the unpowered mic works, but I was wondering...
Yes, for the most part. There are some things like Hindsight and Horizon Leveling that are not on the Hero 8, but you can replicate most of the settings.
@@haynerbass gotcha. I would do cinematic settings if you have ND filters to balance out the light, or just put everything on auto if you don't want to fiddle with settings too much. Make sure you have enough light in your space, otherwise GoPro is not the best canera to use (it sucks in low light). GoPro on camera mic should do decently, but if you want to level up your sound, consider adding a shotgun mic or recording audio separately on a recorder and syncing in post.

I’m more into the videos showing our hikes, etc., however, I’d like to add audio from my BFF that’s actually audible. So, my Saramonic set just arrived.
