This one picks up from last week as we continue the adventure ofJoe Cole and I driving Blasphemi all over Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio while racing at three different 1/4 mile dragstrips in a quest to complete the Midwest Drags. We also visited incredible custom shops like @TinSoldierRacecars while battling breakdowns, malfunctions and rainstorms. It was an incredible one-in-a-lifetime trip that we know you'll enjoy. When I was running on the streets with my 64 Malibu and it s 538 bbc with 8-71 15% over+twin 1050 Dominators,I had no such problemos.We have here in Finland 98E gas which unleaded and this lead additive raises the RON to 102.I ran the engine quite rich and all that gas did was washing the sparkolators.I ran several bbcs over my 16 year "career"and many required gas cooling,especially with comp and iron heads.I had a 526 pro mod bbc with 12-71 HI-Helix set up for some street driving when my then wife decided my money spending was not that of a family man and she left and my car is on forever project now.
“Because you make her” 😁 you should have seen the face I got on that one 😁. As a kid I had the black 55 gasser model kit so you know I’m not missing this show! Go Blasphemi! My dad ran a 69 Camaro in the early ‘70’s and he once told me that back in those days, only sissy’s ran automatics in a drag car. Keep hammering it! Support from Savannah!
I used to think the same thing about automatics, until I had a spinal injury, now I don't have a choice.
When I had my face plated trans, I used the clutch. The face plating just helped it powershift at any rpm. I maybe pushed the pedal halfway, just enough to let it slip a little. Might be worth a shot for you.

Edgewater is iconic to me. My dad took me there in the early 70's. Saw Don Garlits, Grumpy, Shirley Muldowney, Jungle Jim, Snake, Mongoose, Blue Max, etc... Pit passes were the best. Back then, it was like a drug (not literal, I was only 14 years old) with the smells of nitrous and alcohol, plus add on the killer sounds of v8's. I'll never forget this place.
My home track, Sac Raceway, just shut down recently. You never forget the first time you stood next to a top-fuel car when it fired up. You don't hear it, you FEEL it. I wish my dad was still around so I could thank him for everything he taught me and all the experiences I never would have tried on my own. He'd laugh his ass off that I'm still riding motorcycles and playing disc golf competitively at 61. Lost 'em both at 53 to cancer, just 2 years apart.

Mike mate, you need a HEAP more rebound damping so you hunker down & the springs dont just bounce you back up when the weight transfers.

Also it's not like Blasphemi has been a spot on car that just works long enough to get the suspension sorted out. I'm not sure how Mike keeps such a positive demeanor while doing anything with Blasphemi she's a temperamental rig.

I heard you say there's a separate screen to adjust the prime injectors , but did you have the wiring harness switched ? Crazy if so and ran in the 8s ! Peace and Love brothers !
@@davidfriedline7525 the video is confusing. The wiring was correct, it wasn't backward. but when we unplugged the port injectors it wouldnt fire because those injectors were the ones supplying the cranking fuel and the priming fuel. once we turned cranking fuel up and priming fuel on for the supercharger injectors then she fired right up.
It was backwards at Pete’s then when we left it was right now it’s backwards again and it turns out it was right the whole time 😅

The calm and relaxed nature about dropping the trailer!
The fuel leaning is very similar to aircraft leaning. We run Lean of Peak “meaning, lean the engine out and watch the rpm rise until you see the rpm drop, then rich the mixture until the rpm drops 100rpm and that gives u best fuel/power without over heating the cylinders :)
I must say it wouldn't be a FMS video without blasphemi giving some trouble LOL but I know one thing for sure Mike will never give up on BLASPHEMI

So, a friend of my father's is a big engine guy. He built an engine similar to Mike's, but out of a Big Block Chevy. The way he set up his injectors, the ones up top are tiny, run at pretty much at 100% and provide 14:1 ratio by themselves. The lower ones pick up the slack and provide better cylinder to cylinder distribution. I'm afraid I don't know too much, I'm relaying the way he described it to me.
i am a 66 year old gal and if i could i would live at the track. I street raced, raced on the strip and got into alotta trouble with the law when i Was young. but it never stopped me from loving drag racing. last trip down the strip was a week ago, 214mph in 4,07 sec reaction 0,34

That makes me so home sick. Beach Bend is my home track. Back in the late 80's to early 90's if the track was open I was there basically. Those covered stands spoiled me. It's really nice to not bake in the sun all day! Plus the sound .. there is no way to explain that experience!

If he really wanted to go fast he would put an automatic in it and do everything opposite of what he's done to that car. It's not about winning the race to him it's about winning views which equally $$$$$

I can relate on the dude wipes. But then again I once tried to use general use antibacterial wipes when I was on the shitter. Needless to say my asshole was on fire 🤦♂️

Talk about a helluva trip... in more ways than one! It was great to wake up to a new video, but I guess it was a lil too early cuz I dozed back off. Never have I had this happen before, but I began dreaming I was there with yall. Just hangin with Finnigan like it was any normal day. I have to say, I was definitely kinda bummed when I woke up!
Blasphemi is one bad azz stick shift ride! Personally I would go back to the 4 speed to avoid the 2nd to 5th errors!
Yeah so the music at 22:00 minutes with the spoons hitting the ball canning jars really got to me like nails on a chalkboard so fast forward a minute or two. 😂😂
It didn't bother me but it did stand out over the rest of the music lol. I wonder how much a spoon on a jar musician brings in per year 🤔😄

Great show as usual. In reference to your comment of a very small percentage of women watching your show. You’re probably right. None of my women friends are interested in cars.But I'm definitely in that percentage. I’ve watched every episode of Roadkill and this show. I watch but my husband watches only occasionally. I’ve just always loved cars since I was a little girl. Especially old muscle cars.Blasphemy is definitely my favorite followed closely by General Mayhem.

Looking good Mike. What you could have done is to remove the blower belt and run it NA on port injectors and you could get better MPG and not so much wear and tear on blower. IMO
As you lean down the hiway drive you will need to add some timing to it.

I like that fact that you both drive with flip flops.
Try giving it more ignition timing during cruise. It should help with heat. If you don't have enough in it it's still igniting while it's going out the exhaust and that can create heat. Worth a try.

This is my favorite car you have, I don’t really care for the typical TH-cam “bought another project” path that even you have taken, I like the focus on one or two cars, and this is the best you have
When towing a trailer the safety chains have to be crossed underneath the hitch to stop it from dragging on the ground when it jumps off to prevent it from digging into the road and causing a major catastrophe. Always cross your chains underneath the hitch and they hold be short enough that nothing drags on the ground

have you dialed in the bell housing to to crankshaft. take the dowel pins out and drill new holes if you have to.i worked with richmond transmission allot and its a must,i sure theres alot of videos on it.good luck

Weird trailer hitch so a removable pin stops it popping off 😮. Never seen one like it are they all like that over there.
I remember one of the first episodes of roadkill, his car was getting like 14 MPG. I don't know what engine, what trans, what rear end was in it at that time, but to go from 14 to 6... yikes.

That transmission is a clutch assist shifting. It still needs power interrupted and sometimes the clutch tapped to get the slider moved. A true clutchless has a split slider.
Edgewater is my home track. They've resurfaced it quite a few times but yeah it's still pretty bumpy after the 8th.
