The matchup you've been waiting for. This time on Roadkill, Finnegan and Freiburger go heads-up on the dragstrip in their 8-second project cars. After a road trip in the '55 Hemi-powered Chevy, the guys add a new supercharger and dyno tune the Blasphemi to over 1,000 hp before seeing how its new tech holds up against Freiburger's old school, all mechanical, big-block '31 Ford Model A.
Show moreShow lessRide along with HOT ROD's David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan as they continue their love/hate relationship with hot rods, street machines and other highly strung performance vehicles. In Roadkill, Freiburger and Finnegan hit the road in everything from a 1968 Ford Ranchero to a 1500 horsepower Camaro called the F-Bomb. Just getting to their destination is an adventure.Year started: 2012

Dave's face when Mike casually says 'since then we never had full throttle' 😂😂😂😂😂
I truly believe if David owned a pair of shoes his IQ may go up slightly but his likeability will definitely drop?
"THAT BOLT.... FELL OUT? " 😅
Dynamic duo
You guys are the combo man keep putting out stuff together you guys complement each other so much!
Having been watching finnegans channel, Its crazy to see how far this car has come through the years.
Dave and mike make a badass pair. Keep it up fellas, you got alot of fans rooting for you guys! 💪🇺🇸🏁
Hey Man, appreciate that you’re uploading these episodes so we don’t have to pay for the service 💀🤝
Primer Grey
In Australia because of Trump law we were banned from watching them. annoying as been watching these guys since before Roadkill when took crusher on a road trip. I did not mind paying for them and they need to bring it back to us all...
Yeah same in Europe 😢. I had been subscribed but in the end there was no way to watch. I tried 2 VPNs but I guess they checked the billing information
@@nedkelly9688 tRump had nothing to do with it. It was corporate greed by motor trend.
cause God forbid you would have to pay $10 to watch all your favorite shows
beyond awesome! thanks guys, whoever you are
just some goob pirating a copyright protected show trying to get some money from advertising revenue
Yep. 100% my favorite “car” on the planet. I’ve watched it since you picked up the body in Hemet
After this episode, I’m glad that you’re both alive
Greatly appreciate you guys coming back and uploading Roadkiller here for life
those dyno hub box things are pretty cool, that seems way less scary and way easier on the car as a whole
Great pair of cars and some great racing. I'm a fan of the Model A but the Chevy is mighty outstanding and more than a match I suspect. Excellent time when these episodes were made and nothing can take from the obvious teamwork and enjoyment shared by all. Now "Get outa my shop".
I've been following the Blasphemy build from when Mike picked up the shell. So good to see his dreams for the Gasser finally coming to fruition.
The F rod has a basic , simple set-up that works. We were running mid to low 10s connsistently, in 1980. 57 vette w/ full body and interior. radical 331" tunnelram smallblock, muncie 4 spd. crashbox, 57 Olds rear, 6.13s. No computer, or 2 step of course. Different parameters, but, kinda puts it in perspective? Dubs
24:10 freiburger is at a loss for words after hearing that there was no WOT on Dyno pulls. This is remarkable 😂
I never knew Pete built that engine that guy knows his stuff
Fun video to watch thanks
I put gen2 hemis in everything 😂 I run the nascar scavenge pump oil systems. No issues. My petty built Roy hill duster has gone 8.40’s no oiling issues. If you ever read the tech report sent to SAE in 1966 Chrysler engineers designed hemi to shift at 7200 rpm. Don’t be afraid of rpm in hemi. It’s not a Chevy 😂
7200 is WAY too high for a Hemi....
@@davelowets no it’s not. Read the SAE report.. It’s not a Chevy
When my buddies and I were in the Navy in 1972 a friend of mine owned a 55 Chevy Herbie O'Connor it was a hot rod for sure a flew back to Illinois and drove that car from Illinois to San Diego California in 2 days it was a small block I don't know what horsepower had but it came in it I don't know what size Pistons he had in it it was bored out 40 over and it was sweet I love 55 Chevys because we had a dragster 55 Chevy with a big block when we finally got finished we started out with small block then we went to the 396 fat shocker would fly
I would love to see that car converted to 1967 rules and competing in Southeast Gassers.,Finnegan, David, Tony, Dulcich taking turns at the wheel as schedules permit
Finnegan's anti-theft device: remove the steering wheel...😆😆
Many drag cars have a removable steering wheel so that the driver can get in and out easier while crawling over the roll cage door bars.
@@davelowets And yet few street driven do
40:11.... 😆 You're too used to those double digit E.T. drag cars....
You've got something that boogies now.
Those are Bad Rides guys!!!
It's so sad that Jim Meyer on the oregon Coast is not making tri five chevy stuff anymore. Shops are empty. He teamed up and went racing with someone.
Blasphemi has a now- rare frame.
That would have been a close one, if you both would have matched the tree.
Tie breaker? Why did we not get that? Neither car was broken? Awesome
I think the F-rod has just a SLIGHT edge over Blasphemi, and could edge it out every time with everything being equal at the tree each time.
A lighter car is a big bonus
Why would I ever watch network programming again?! Well, because I'm married, but I would watch this every night.
Glad you guys are back on youtube
Man it must be awesome to say I ordered a blower like most of us brag about I ordered a new set of header gaskets
More power + narrower tyres = F**k yeah buddy
3:15 It made me remember Tony Angelo bench pressing the transmission after rebuilding it on sight to continue racing.
Two Lane Was A Primer
Man, I've missed roadkill. I didn't know they went paywall, I assumed the boys broke up the band.
As soon as this video started, I hit pause just to comment .
I love you guys, and I want to watch.....but my dinner is burning. I'll save it to my " watch later list.
Ttyl. Lol.
If it were me, my dinner WOULD have burned... 🔥
@@davelowets
Thanks for commenting. See, I forgot about this, and now that you've reminded me.......
GREAT EPISODE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love you guys, this must have been before the car was changed to a arms
38:20 FRIEBURGER YOU SAID IT!!! YOU DID THE 2 LANE THING WITH THE RIGHT CARS IM SO GEEKED!!
We need to see Blastphemi vs. whistling diesels Chevy powered General Lee.
Great episode!
38:09 yep old video (but still great) CAR HAS OLD FRONT END AND
*NO A-FRAME ARM SUSPENSION* YET
HOPING TO. SEE IT IN REAL ACTION THIS SUNDAY ON FINNEGAN'S GARAGE
*STAY TUNED* HAS THE UPDATED BLASPHEMY (all dialed in)
He lets the boss win every time
We have to check the jets.
Fin??? WTF dude wot is the first thing we check?!?
EVERY time you drive it?
Funny how the front end was such trash compared to the new A arm one. My dad and I built a 57 chevy with a 871 blown big block about 20 years ago and boy do I miss that car. It was very squirrely on the street if you got into any boost but hooked well on the track.
You need a wheelie bar to make it more stable at the light!❤❤
No b!tch bars
5:08 🎵
All motor at 2200 lb vs boosted at 3500+lb
The 55 CAN'T weigh THAT much....
you would think pete harrold would of noticed that stuff ..
What is the cartoon guy at the end of the video about ?
No wonder you break everything in 1 pass. Start in 2nd.
Post up your cars then and show us how a pro does it 🙄
"Start in 2nd..." 🤔 Huh?? 🤷🏻
Yesss❤❤❤
Im sad because my car is slow he said...dude you doing 8 sec time on a 1/4mile dragstrip how much fast is fast for you damn
How many burnouts can you get from a set of drag slicks?
One….If you did it right 😂
Lots....
Roadkill is back? I hope so we need some crazy adventures with crap cars.
Hey bros🙂
has the driver of the black chevy been involved in a accident as hes top lip is missing
It's covered by a mustache... 🤷🏻
😎And that my friends is how you🍀Get R Done👀✌️
Seen Honda run faster
What sucks is they prolly spent $100k on blasphemi motors.
And by now you can buy a hell cat stock that makes more hp😂😂😂
@@ericthomas5670vw beetles have gone 6.5s 1/4 mile at 220mph
@@fastinradfordablebut isn't as cool.
Single clutch?
Kind of ironic how the videos of Mike Finnegan drops his videos of dramatic changes and then this i dont know which came first but they were dropped within 5 days of each other.
This video is much older.
this thing is so old, the rest of the cast has retired by now.
Is Tony there?
da fuck no more 4 gear
Mopar = mo problems
To stop missing gears, gate the shifter like a Ferrari.
No
@@davelowets Drag racing with a ton of power and a six speed means you are playing Russian roulette trying to thread the needle finding third and fourth. Boom! Oops :(
🛻🛻🛻🛻🛻
I love the car, but I hate name❤❤❤❤
Why? It’s a perfect fit and unique. Everyone knows what car it is lol
You guys need to go to school in mechanic school on how to build engines and build your car you're making way too many mistakes
Or let them do it the way they want too. This is also a tv show btw, mostly about entertainment. Fuck-ups and issues are entertaining…
And just what "mistakes" are they making?? 😮💨😊
Cmon Finnegan. Freiburger could pedal the F with his hands and win. Youve kept an engine in Blasphemi for a total of 10 minutes over a 5 year span. Sooooo over Blasphemi and i know 3rd graders with better engine building skills than you.
Buy a Metro and go to California.
jealous?
We were running 2 seconds slower than Finnegans best run ever in 1980. That was with a 57 Vette with full body and interior. Radical 331' small block, Muncie 4 SD. Crashbox, 57 Olds rear w/ 6.13 Of course, No 2 step, no laptop. All homebuilt. Ran low to mid 10s consistently. Yes, different parameters, but just to put in perspective. Dubs
@@karensavarese5684puts what "in perspective"... 🤷🏻
It's NOT "our" car! It was always Finnigan's car! Freiburger is kind of wierd!
