My wife and I used to go to that so called church about 11 years ago when we lived in Scottsdale AZ. It didn't take too long before we realized how worldly and ungodly they were before we got out of there and didn't look back thank God!!!

Some people who the Holy Spirit also reveals this to, choose to remain out of comfort and/or "going along to get along" (aka cowardice; John 12:42-43). In his book "The Dangers of a Shallow Faith " A.W. Tozer talks about how entertainment (as a substitute for joy) and "leadership" via forceful, pushy, dishonest personalities were making their way into the pulpits of the church. Although Tozer went to be with the LORD in 1963, the book reads as if he's alive and witnessing these things today. As believers we're not to be surprised, because Jesus already warned us (e.g. Matthew 24:3-6, 11). Aided by the airwaves, radio, TH-cam, etc., false teachers are multiplying today as were false prophets in ancient times. They love money and earthly status, their hearts are trained in greed (2 Peter 2:1-3). They prey upon God's people like ravenous wolves; they see godliness as a means of gain (Acts 20:28-30, 1 Timothy 6:3-10).These characters, disguising themselves as brethren in Christ (2 Corinthians 11:12-15), are amateur hour compared to THE antichrist. I used to attend this church, and my daughter and granddaughter were baptized there when we first moved to Az in 2019. After the shutdown in 2020, we stopped attending. The Lord will keep and protect his children during the shutdown that was our way out. This is the year of Exposure!

Brother Cory, unfortunately my mommy used to go to this church, Kingdom In The valley, in Arizona, it’s big. Praise the Lord Mommy was walking with the Lord before she went to his church. ( she’s with the Lord now🙌🏾💜) I am appalled by what I just heard! The Steels had a Reality Show, and they played it during Bible study while they were out of town, my Mom was so mad, she and other members walked out! Before she passed she talked about leaving, her Illness kept her away. You are correct when you say Pastor Steel doesn’t have any depth in his messages, His messages are Biblically incorrect, I was not fed when I visited there. His members are also required to pay a certain fee to be members of this church, that requirement is nowhere in scripture! My mom didn’t pay ( couldn’t afford the fee ) so I believe she was not considered an official member even though she ushered for three services, faithfully. That reality became painfully clear when it came to her Homegoing Service, he let me know that normally they would charge to use his Church for a funeral, he said because he cared about my mother, he would not charge her family! My siblings and I were in disbelief. We did not want him to do the service, however, I was following my Mommy’s wishes. It’s shameful that these pastors do not have the fear of God, if they did, they would not speak in such appalling, blasphemous ways, instead, they would be Spirit lead and just speak the Biblical truth! 🙏🏾💜

I can't remember his exact words (this was 25 years ago). Fast forward to recent events, he was R. Kelly's pastor, James Meeks.

Any time a pastor pedals humanism from the pulpit it will be the lowest form of communication. He’s preaching about the relationship between people when He should be preaching about our relationship with God. If that is square, the rest will be square by default. If our relationship with God is not square neither will our human relationships…and of course if God is not in the picture then all you have left is food, money and sex to try to fill the void.
Makes me think of the time I went to a church, that clearly was influenced by the prosperity churches, where the pastor cracked the Boaz joke where he's telling the ladies to not settle for *insert negative characteristics followed by "az" (e.g. "broke-az)*. I already had my reservations about that church but after that I knew for sure I had full confirmation from God that church wasn't for my family and me.

Any time a pastor pedals humanism from the pulpit it will be the lowest form of communication.
He’s preaching about the relationship between people when He should be preaching about our relationship with God. If that is square, the rest will be square by default. If our relationship with God is not square neither will our human relationships…and of course if God is not in the picture then all you have left is food, money and sex to try to fill the void.

Makes me think of the time I went to a church, that clearly was influenced by the prosperity churches, where the pastor cracked the Boaz joke where he's telling the ladies to not settle for *insert negative characteristics followed by "az" (e.g. "broke-az)*. I already had my reservations about that church but after that I knew for sure I had full confirmation from God that church wasn't for my family and me.

I know you asked for Corey's recommendation, but please consider: Mount Olive Baptist Church (301 W Sanford St Arlington, TX), where women are held in high regard according to scripture but are NOT in the pulpit preaching!
