What’s the raid cost
ya know, automation lets ya do some intersting things like say making a window on your tc, putting 2 shops in front of that, and than perhaps putting down your tier 3 infront a armored single door with a single box thats unlocked so as to let you than pipe it all the way back to your tc making your tc damn near inaccessible with some industrial wizardry and hell this also could let you put your tc in a practically sealed bit of high up honeycomb with the box to access it and give it resources either being in your core or since your such a industrial wizard, perhaps its next to your auto smelter or even you could make a input and output box and have half of the resources go back to the input and the other half go to that small output box that than shunts off all cooked materials to your tc for ya :D
hell on that note, id love to see a solo duo base that has a hexagonal open core in the bottom of the base with a hidden tc honeycomb that perhaps also hides in other honeycomb, the important boxes since you can also half wall low wall it with the crack at the bottom to still let pipes in and out and if the core has only half your good stuff like worse guns and some moderate unsmelted resources and maybe even just a bit of smelted shit too, it can be made convincing enough that thats all your have tho it would be a question where your tc is that might make smarter raiders realise that you haveta be loaded if you were smart enough and rich enough to leave whatever ya did in the core as 'bait loot'

Put a triangle floor frame inside TC room and upgrade to sheet. You can bring the TC super close to the front making it easier to access and raiders have to destroy the wall or triangle to get any TC loot.
The window and triangle floor still makes them require to destroy the wall

A tip at the start, if you put the TC more on the side you can fit a furnace inside if you're thinking of using the window
I built this base nearly a month ago and I still love it. Especially as a solo, it gives so much opportunity to have many peaks, and a little bit of customization. I got on lined and I loved every part of it!

I would make one of two of those walls in rspawn room on roof into vending machines, also if you upgrade the shelfs holding turrets on the roof to metal they can't soft side very easily also could add a sam site or two to the top of the spawn room on roof (to protect against MLRS)

Happy to help! It's a fairly easy one to put together and I try to explain it well
Tried this base and was fun to build (Solo) lasted maybe 2 days, they went straight through both gatehouse doors, then my front armoured entrance door and through the walls / garage door into TC . Then ofc afterwards you can't replace the Main TC with externals up. Still fun whilst it lasted
there is a method of setting up external TCs that allows you to "disconnect" them from the main base and replace the main TC, although Reks doesn't use it here. If you look up "mini satori disconnectable TC" you should be able to find a tutorial, or a lot of the more complex big base builds also have a segment on it.

From my experience as a raider the first and second floor are always drilled first because most people keep tc on first or second floor
That’s cool but this is a builder friendly base nice for people who want to learn how to build compounds etc . As they progress they learn how to make it more defendable from raids . Glad to know how raiders think though time to switch up bc as you say that and I think that’s exactly where I get hit a lot . Time to confuse some raiders 😂🤝
I like the design its nice it just needs to be tweaked and moved around some is all
Personally after the 14th raid and tc was always on first or second raiding became dull and predictable i had to raid 4-6 man groups as a solo to get some excitement as far as finding tc or being shot at in general most solo duo trios panic when they hear rockets and see a fob outside there walls and barley can make there way to the roof before I've entered core / tc and by that time they give up most of the time not all the time but 80% of the time
Nice base But maybe try to shake the pov less while you’re talking as it gets kind of annoying and confusing when you keep nodding and shaking

I would move those compound turrets either to the side of the gatehouse facing inwards, or build a half height compartment where the barricade is and put it in there. The current turrets won't cover if a grub ladders up the high externals, or if a raid goes through the walls. In my experience raids will always go through high external walls instead of the gatehouses.

I really like this design. As a new builder and new to rust, I think this and dust saber could be combined
I added a "god bunker" to this base and use it every wipe, is amazing and fun to build, the armored floor adds lots of rockets for anyone trying to go doors.

@@reecewatkins9174 Nice man, I also changed the externals tc's to disconnectables and gamelightz mini god bunkered the external tc's and store some loot in there when i log has saved me more than once haha

might have to try this today for a Mon wipe server... Generally feel star bases are too tight, but this one looks dope, lol... Keep up the good work!

@@Reksmore Totally. Even a 2x2 honestly, for a solo, 2x1's or the star base is plenty of room. Need more space? Build up......

I love this base build, it is the first compound base that I have been able to build withought any confusion. However I would have loved to get an explanation on how to wire the auto turrets. I am very new and I do not know how to do it
what do you use to power it without compromising the windmills?
I haven't yet watched the video so excuse me if your question had some obvious nuance regarding the turrets but as far as a general recommendation goes I would say to watch both Jfarr and Sven's (on youtube) videos regarding the basics of electricity.

So i found it again... the video where it all started. A long time ago, when i had like only 100 hours in rust, on a lonly solo wipe i found myself with the problem that the only base i knew how to build was the basic 2x2. So i looked up some base tutorials and eventually after 30 mins of looking for a interesting one found this. I startet farming and building wich took forever because i had no idea how to build anything, but by the time i was done i had so much fun and was so happy with the "endproduct" that i wantet to build the base again. So i hopped on a damn PVE/PVP server with some friends so we would not just get offlined every night and i started building a lot of TH-cam bases over the wipes. They began---- to get bigger and more complicated even with bunkers and wallstack but i still had so much fun figuring everythig out. eventually i was tired of the tutorials and tryed to build some bases of my own, wich - looking back - were absoloutly terrible at the start. But after around 1 year, 1000 Hours on buildservers and 2500 hours in rust im beginning to Build bases sized for 20-30 mans with open cores, roof Bunkers, funnel walls and everything else and rust has never been better. And it all started with This small Circle base. So thank you for shaping My future in Rust man :) Hope you doing good

If your core get raided, you can't replace exterior tc, so I think getting the exterior tc one block out is better.
if you place it one out… they can greif because the outers arent building blocking them???
I’m so glad console has all the building things now so I can build this base🤗 and we don’t have electricity yet so I can just place a turret and put some ammo inside and it’s done

Thats actually what I personally do to send supplies from bandit or outpost home 🤣 I just don't include all my tricks in every base

İ made this base yesterday got semi raided today and they destroyed main tc. İs there anyway i can replace it? My base is decaying. When i try it says i cants stack building priv
I found a certain way where you can place the compound walls perfectly every single time. Unfortunately, I cannot explain it over text, but I would be willing to make a video on it if anyone is interested.

Very nice base but in the tc honeycomb u can use either a double half wall or put a triangle in the middle and u have a triangle roof bunker for more offline raid protection

love the look of this build, I am currently building this now but what is the best way to approach this in stages, I know you gave a couple of pointers in the vid but im struggling to find to section it and farm at the same time

Where the jump up first strat try making a roof bunker with triangle twig frame
I have some constructive criticism :)
For a solo this base design is good but it might be really had to move around for more than duo
Also needs more boxes (4 large boxes in core is usually not enough after a day or two) and my suggestion would be to build as you would when you play because there was no jump up to the base untill you build 3 externals and showed where we will have entrance
Also middle of shooting floor and top (turrets protection is enough for heli) has some wasted space and could be used fore more if walled windowed with just 1-2 doors that being said i would place my bed in shooting floor area and not on top floor.
I prefer windmill on top if possible since its harder to destroy.
I will definitely try this base design and see if there are things i would change but so far it looks really good!

It really was primarily designed as a Solo Compound so I do understand the movement issues,
With the box update, I usually don't worry about nearly as many anymore but I could see it being problematic for bigger groups
I will keep these things in mind though for my next compound base
You should explain turret wiring for this base
you should put a triangle frame around TC also. makes it even harder to get tc loot for raiders
I just do about 5+ layers of triangle armored half-wall honeycomb in all directions. The comments during raids are hilarious. 🤣

Know this vid is old. But exactly what I needed. You earned a sub and a like for not only teaching me how to make a compound, but the reasoning to every building in here. Great base and a greater vid!!
My only critique would be to show how to wire, since a lot of newer players like myself most likely won't know how to :P.
Otherwise I love this base, the only compound that's worked for me solo!
Just make the turret triangle sheet metal. If someone wants to take the time to soft side that, I give them props

@@Reksmore Check out LeftyyP's "unmatched solo bunker". It's a circle base that will give some awesome ideas on maximum storage and efficiency that you could apply to this design. It's my inspiration behind almost every base design I build now.
Wow! What an amazing build!! I will definitely be using this one. I think instead of placing a tier 2, placing another large battery for 3 Sam sites would be amazing. Can you show the best place to put 3 sam sites on this build please!!!!!!!!!!!!

sometimes cannot place tc's on outer tc triangles theres no bases near and the terrain is fine currently can place 0/3 outer tc's because of "cannot stack building priv" and yes i built 5 squares and 3 triangles outwards good design but just doesnt work for me

@@scc.2538 im using a way better one called the perfect 2x1 expansion and so far I haven’t been getting this problem with that one so if you want go check it out
The only time I had this issue was if I hadn't destroyed the two foundations that connect the outer to the inner.

Nice base just there’s not a lot of boxes
There's def room for a few more upstairs but mostly it's meant for a small group and taking advantage of the box update

a nice base, but only stone externals is just too weak to make all this effort.
i suggest to upgrade externals to metal and convert them to a stability bunker like gamelightz does.
