While if i would put the TC behind a door frame and upgrade it to armor... then the door frame would have 2000 HP and armor door in front of it would have 1000 hp
So why people pick the window option? Moreover you have to remove the window and put it pack every time you want to accses the TC , while you can simply open and close the door all the time .
Me and a buddy built this as a duo. We're on a new wipe and we wants to try a new base, but after watching this again I realize how much I fuckin LOVED that base, man. We had to modify it a little bit because we built a little too close to military tunnel. Even then it was such a good base.
After watching about a dozen videos, this is the only one I would consider building as a solo.
like how long does it take you to expand though? It woujld take me like 2 days to get the loot
@@qase8070I just did this base and it took me around 2 hours of straight farming to get all the materials to build, and around 1 hour for schematics, and about 30 minutes to build while watching the video.

I’m 50 hours into rust (coming from Tarkov), really appreciating the base thus far, two nights and I’m still safe. I got the first portion done (up to the 6:30 mark) and working on the rest today.

Got raided 3 times this a week using this full design . 2nd time I decided to put honeycomb on the top and they came through the front doors .
I'm coming from Tarkov too lol. Since I play solo in both Tarkov and Rust I appreciate this base design.

Love this build. Been using it for about 3 months now as my go to build as a solo. The cheap upkeep and easy build is perfect. I'll usually have 3 or 4 scattered aroumd the map
I recommend moving the TC to second floor behind a triangle honeycomb once you have it fully built. Every time I am raided they go straight to TC. People know this base now.
0:22 THAT!!!! I really hate most bases nowadays that require you to make some cheesy foundation placements and shit ... which takes time & practice; leaving you vulnerable to roamers while figuring out how to place a square...

Had been saving up for this base and literally managed to put it down on a solo vanilla server second day of the wipe would probably have been able to do it first day but it was late wipe for my time. Also had a stone quarry but only 2 barrels used i know it‘s 10000 stones but thats just 10 nodes and still have left over thank you for this never was the type to build bases but with this i can sleep safe knowing i wont get offlined second day of wipe

I absolutely love this base build! I would love to see a continued expansion to this, I have been using it for a monthly server and I would love to have more loot availability. I am very bad at thinking of expansions myself lol.

Thanks so much for this base design its much better than the one I was currently using, the bunker thing is really cool cause it makes them literally HAVE to go through a wall/roof, even if they destroy every door i have. Fresh wipe just happened and I spent a few hours building this so let's see how long it holds up.
finally a base that is realistic to build as a solo!!! I thought i would never find one bc of all the complex bunker systems. I love it!❤
Either complex or the bunker is based off an half wall twig taking a place of a frame indefenitely😢

I'm going to try to make this either tonight or over the next few days since wipe is today.
Being new it looks more tricky, I can do a honeycombed 2x2/3x2s out of sheet metal, and they have been moderately successful at avoiding raids, but this one is well optimised.
Just started playing last week been a bit of a headache lol but fun, haven’t survived a full day without getting back on and being dead 🤣 loving this build and how you explained everything, going to try and recreate this 🙏🏽 need to learn more about the game. You gained another Subscriber 🙌🏽

Started Rust a week ago, This Video has helped me so much. I’ve been raided but they never seemed to put the effort into fully raiding this base.
Not getting fully raided is always the goal! I design these bases to make raiders give up before they hit gold!

Great build. Currently using it and wanted to add that after placing your second roof triangle you should shut your garage door THEN upgrade it to metal to seal it while you are in it.

I’m definitely gonna slap this down soon, I just threw up a 2x2 but ima scrap that and build this
Just a minor thing I noticed, the mixing table is by the kits and the repair table is by the cooking room. Would probably make the most sense to swap those, even if it doesn't fit perfectly just so the things you use those tables for are by each other
In the main loot room you could remove that gross square and add a side triangle then make it a proper 7 large box + 1 small box loot room and still be able to reach the tc from the side. That would crunch a lot more loot into the core.
Potentially even a camp fire in the middle of the 4 large boxes below the triangle with the 3 large boxes and a small box.

I actually made this base but added an extra square which fits a trio or squad better but along with some extra traps and a compound with traps all around which made it a really good base for a fresh wipe

Great video! One suggestion, please add a blueprint? So we do not need to build based on pausing, playing.. if we are in a dangerous zone, pausing playing etc can get us killed;) I would love to see a blueprint from high level, some people do this which is a huge help cause I can pause the layout and build it out quickly without worrying about playing the video to get to the next section:) Great job though!

I been running with this build since I found it. Upkeep is handy, I had 4 days upkeep with it built up further than the video. I added area for electrics and extra loot room almost full metal with hq core. All that was left was stone for honeycomb. For me, getting 4 days upkeep with this beast was worth it! I got attempt raided and they always messed it up. Now, if a Zerg gets you your screwed but that's normal. Hard to be safe from a Zerg. They just have lots of boom

Such a good base just built it today praying I make it through the night finished the whole base in 5 hours by myself with only 600 hours playing

Built this for current wipe on console. Aside from an issue with the bunker roof piece not building (seems to be a console edition issue) and a couple modifications due to terrain placement 2 additional floors and a roof for heli acquisition, this base worked extremely well. Got raided a couple times, but still recoverable, living in it still. 👍😉
That issue with not being able to place the roof piece to close the bunker is annoying, it’s the 2nd time I’ve dealt with it

@@ciouded3190 I didn’t, I actually got raided while I was at work and lost everything. Gonna have to find a new bunker design
@@ciouded3190 apparently on console the roof triangles don’t work the same as on pc and are prone to glitch out so if you’re on console it’s best to avoid any bunker build that uses roof pieces

I believe I found two critical vulnerabilities with the base. 1) in a door raid, the first two doors splash the ramp as well as the garage door above the ramp. This weakens the bunker as if the ramp is destroyed, the bunker mechanism doesn't work. Potentially results in 7 rockets worth of splash into the ramp. Depending on the quality of the ramp, the bunker could be destroyed in as little as one additional rocket. 2) a wall raid from the front door or just behind it (into the honey comb) results in bypassing the bunker completely and is a relatively cheap raid (12 rockets to bypass the bunker entirely with the as-shown build grades). Even cheaper is to go through the first door, then through the two stone walls underneath the bunker/ramp. 10 rockets to bypass the bunker that way. Making those two walls metal helps to fix this path.
I'm not noticing some of this too. Upgrading those ways that allow you to bypass the bunker is definitely a start.

I tried this base today, and It was quickly raided by bypassing the bunker and going from the wall one left and facing the front of the tool cupboard. I do believe they C4 and used grenade launcher. I also didn't get a chance to sheet metal the outside.

9:21 making that a double door instead of a single door makes moving around the base SO much easier.
Not that much, you can run without jumping and still get to the furnace room or back instead of falling to the entrance

This base resisted 3x full MLRS, that's pretty impressive since only the core was HQM !
I have built this base 4 times since the release of this video. You can also make this a 2x2 bunker instead of 2x1. That would be ideal for up to even 4-5 people. I really enjoy this triangle roof bunker

Awesome design. Also you mentioning that while eco-raiding a HQM foundation is unlikely it's not impossible, got me curious and I looked at Rustlabs and learned that soft-siding (the center) of a HQM foundation only requires about 80 jackhammers and (or fewer with refills) and 18 minutes!!!! Wow.
Wow ! I'm going to buy those 80 jackhammers ! Farming 8k scrap is totally ok ! ! Just for 1 HQM ! Waiting 18min is ok too !

@@ilNpazzo actually they break after too many refills, so you would end up using 5. since you would have to refill them as well, that’d add more time, causing the whole process to take just under 30 minutes IF you have a workbench very close to the foundation, which is not likely considering you wouldn’t have tc priv. however, this assumes you’re alone. if you have a group then this process goes by so much faster, and since raiders are almost always in a group nowadays, soft siding armored is much more viable than it seems
Wait see every time you want to seal the base you have to spend the hqm each time?

from the roof off on both sides where the three triangles are half wall it off then windows on top of the half walls with a roller door on both sides then you have two shooting rooms

I have a problem with sealing the bunker and yes i checked for deploaybles and I did the jump up foundation. I need something diffrent than that.
I've been doing a build like this but all sides are covered by triangle roofs to a square foundation acting as a double pancake layer for the top

Could you make a farm base for a solo that serves as a main base too?
I would make a large furnace base and a farming base right next to this base.
Then you if you got rich you could add dual layered chain layered chain length fence on top of the furance and farm base with an undestroyable auto turret in the middle for strong base defense. Even a garage base with another dual layered chain length fence with an auto turret :D
So after you seal it how do you access the loot room and tc? How do you take that roof down?

Just finished building this whole base. I have nothing in my base besides boxes no loot at all. Now time to start looting.
new to rust here but why are all the bases in rust so jammed and stuffed and feel like a rat hole lol
It's just to maximize the amount of stuff you can store and do with your base, also making it tricky to raid. You can pretty your base up if you're trying to rp, but it won't be optimal and will be destroyed in seconds. Also, you have building costs to consider,so it's best to build small, cheap and compact
@@reesu8507 Yeah I realize that, also need to consider upkeep as well. I realized that bases decay and need to be constantly fed wood and stone in order to keep the base from decaying, so keeping it small and compact also limits the upkeep cost. It's just weird coming from a game like minecraft where I could build these big extravagent bases hahaha. just a different playstyle, i'll figure it out i guess
Just built part of this. I can still see the twig outside by the ramp.
this base is very nice but on the oder side i would have liked it when there where like turrets in it but that is no problem keep up the content
might be a little late but when making the final entrance below the roof it says not enough space if i try to build there..
It's not letting me place the floor next to tc for loot and saying not enough space what do you recommend
if the terrain i built on isn’t flat does this prevent me placing foundations? for example i’m trying to honeycomb my sheet metal but it won’t let me place a triangle foundation. there seems to be a little elevation. i tried moving anything that blocked it from inside still to no avail
I also can’t built honeycomb outside my sheet metal triangle foundation (i upgraded the angled roof that is near it on the outside to armoured as per one of the comments and it still won’t let me place down a triangle foundation)
I don't get the sealing and unsealing cause you can't destroy metal with the hammer correct or is that wrong?

Very nice base and excellent quality of the video...the only problem is that, at the end, i wasn't able to place the final roof. I tried to remove garage doors, i tried different angles but nothing.
Any suggestion?

only issue i have with this is not having the garage doors, very awkward to play before 2nd expansion when your entrance is on top but cant have the double door. like this so far into wipe tho very simple and you can make the top how you want it. i went up one more layer and put 2 bedrooms and roof peeks.
I had the same problem. All I did to get around it is place and remove double doors when I logged on/off. Not as secure potentially, but worked okay :)
