    I had 2 Accords. This restyling totally turned me off and I thought the 1.5T and Hybrid both were slugs. I bought a new Ridgeline with the classic J35 V6 and I don't regret it!

      Funny as last gen was considered by many as polarizing in some aspects compared to the 9th gen. Which was the reason why they toned it down in this generation. First they called it bland but then slowly and slowly some started calling the current gen ugly. The 9th gen to me would be the best looking one as it won awards for its design.😂

    I was on the Camry bandwagon for a while. Everything about it just seemed better, but maybe it was just the novelty. Now that the dust has kind of settled, I’ll have to admit I like the look of the Accord better than the Camry.

    I have 2000 miles on my 2024 Accord Hybrid and I'm averaging 40.5 miles per gallon in Economy mode and with generative braking on. The only way I can imagine getting 45 is with a lot of non highway driving and driving 65 on the highway. If you drive 70 or more on the highway, the gas engine is doing the work and the gas milage goes down quickly.

    • @DaveDDD
      @DaveDDD หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I average about 48 or 49 mpg over the last 20k miles or so on my 2023 Touring. About 50/50 city/highway. Just let the car do 90% of the driving for you by turning on the lane keep assist and smart cruise control for highway trips.

    I love the Accords styling over Camry, Altima, K5 and Sonata. It has a sophisticated styling that stand’s out. The rest are attempting to be sporty like everything else on the road.

    • @datnguyen1615
      @datnguyen1615 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The rest are attempting to be "different" with ugly outcomes. Though, Honda quality too set very high standard.. Adding Accords carry her heritage character one generation to another.

  • @toadsage

    For all the people saying the Camry is better, Honda doesn't nickel and dime you for every little thing, including a subscription for remote start. That alone makes me choose the Accord over the Camry. With the Accord, you pick the trim you want and what you get with that trim is what you get. There's no "If you get this trim, you have to add this $3,000 package to get this feature." This is true even on the top trim for the Camry, which is egregious. That's not even mentioning how Toyota is artificially limiting their vehicle output so they can sell them with zero incentives and no negotiation. Dealers are using the limited stock, which SHOULD NOT be a problem 4 years after COVID, as an excuse to mark up Toyota cars. I'll stick with Honda.

      Disagree. The infotainment screen sticking up into the field of view works really well from the driver’s POV because you can see it out of the corner of your eye. It almost acts a bit like a HUD.

      2024 Hybrid Touring owner here. 3500 miles. Love the car overall, however, ride quality is disappointing. Wish Honda would pivot away from tech as a priority and back toward the driver’s experience. The stock 19” wheels and low-profile tires are a mistake IMHO, and I wish I knew that at time of purchase. I am researching quite a bit and finding that swapping out for 17”wheels and higher profile tires such as Continental Pure Contact LS might be a good solution. Dealer quote for 17 inch wheels was astonishingly high so I’m working with a Discount Tire store instead. Looking at about $2000 roughly. Hope to offset some of that by selling the stock wheels and tires. We shall see 🤷🏻‍♂️
