GLA, 1. Android Play and CarPlay are standard even in older models. 2. The collision avoidance safety features that are standard 3. It looks amazing and is fun fun car to drive. 4. Gas (petrol) costs are lower, very efficient This is from a BMW lover who recently switched to a 2017 GLA, the technology and features are much better even in the older model.
I like the driver's seat height and the technology the car XC40 has. Anyway got XC40. Super car. Also when you ride over the speed breakers Volvo handles better. Safety. The Indian roads have become so unsafe these days,..
I think all 4 cars are for different drive choices. I have had the x1 for few years. It gives me no trouble at all. Handles perfect and has the power which i enjoy on the highway. I also added a GLA and it fels more sporty from inside and outside. Both cars are very smooth. If i have to drive alone i might choose the merc but with a family x1 is spacious and luxuriour.
Bought the X1 in jan and even if given a choice today i'll go with the X1. Been 6 months and i love every bit of the X1. Truly a drivers car(oh and coming from a guy who dosen't even give his car to a valet parking guy) :P

Volvo is aggressively promoting this baby in the growing Indian market but does it have enough ASS associates to handle the product post sales? Things that I have heard from friends owning Volvo aren’t too promising. In this case I would still put my money on the reliability of the German babies Audi or BMW.

Nope. Just took delivery of my 2018 X1 M-Sport last month. BMW has officially discontinued petrol variants of the X1 in India. But I do agree with the X1 being a better package.
The strength of a German product is in its engineering not in the looks of its interiors. That being said both the BMW and the Audi have a pleasing functional interior that blend well with what’s under the hood. So I’m not sure what are you going on about.
I think this review is doing injustice with BMW I mean you like it in every single way..... don't you think that the BMW is way better alrounder and it is best looking also and 1 point to consider the quality of the cabin is much more better than Volvo man!
Merc gla good for city due to compact size and also good in ruler area due to good grounds clearence(183mm) Bmw x1 (165mm) not good for indian road Audi q3 (170mm) also a low GC ONLY volvo has max GC i.e 210mm But interior is not good as merc gla.. With ambient lighting 😍
The review was very biased. He tried to fake having to choose at the end but the result was obvious since the beginning. This screams promo all around. Not that its a bad thing.... Just an observation.
Have you seen the elk test for the X2? It is all over the place and fails to get around the cones with hitting most of them. There seem to be a real Myth around BMW's handling - so what if it feels sporty if it actually can't handle direction changes?
I think, this review is an paided one. Interior fit and finishes, Driving experience, Practicality of BMW X1 is much more better than volvo xc40. BMW X1 is the clear winner.

I vote BMW x1 for cargo space n ride and GLA 250 for its sporty look attractive for young drivers and the best interior. None can’t beat Benz interior
