They would need to flesh out the story. Have Gordon run a slavery ring or something. Make Migrane Mike do a face turn and become an ally to Billy. Include Thousand Bird (original version of A.L. Hurt in the japanese version) as Gordon's right hand. And please ditch Billy's special forces vet BS from the comic book!

The way to clean up the Special Forces thing without taking it out the story is to have it as a rumor cause Billy is so good at stopping criminals in their tracks.. everything is perfect on what you said..

Actually it was inspired by this funky tune www.dailymotion.com/video/x379nsq it has the same "breaking glass and police sounds" intro and the main guitar riff is identical :) . And I guess you already know that the main character was inspired by Crocodile Dundee.
