I would love to see how much gains you would get from a port matched hellcat throttle body and ported 6.4 manifold from mmx. Thats what i have on my car but I’ve never had it dyno’d.
Do you feel a difference over stock? I would like to go that route, but I'm not sure which manifold?

@@ceavalencia4767Oh yea big difference from stock. The ported 6.4 manifold is the best out there on the market at the moment. Only intake that offers the long to short runner actuator so you have the smoothest power band. The SRV controller by zautomotive is the easiest way to set it up. You dont need to cut into the injector wire and put in that stupid window switch.

Im currently running the hellcat throttle body ported to 95mm with the 95mm to 90mm adapter plate. The MMX ported 6.4 intake manifold (the opening is 90mm to match the throttle body adapter plate) The SRV controller by ZAuto to control the runners of the intake. OEM actuator. This is by far the best intake setup for a NA hemi, no doubt in my mind. Before the manifold and throttle body the cars dyno thing from the SRT pages said a peak HP of 424 on a 32° day. After the manifold and throttle body that number was up to 466 on a 32° day. Just over 40hp from just that is pretty dam good IMO. (If that dyno is somewhat accurate)

The thing I really do hate is the rpm range on these stock. I have a 2015, and the rev range just always leaves me wanting something more.
It's almost like the car has something squeezing its neck and can't quite get out those high notes.
that open air box is prone to heat soak even with that heat shield. Better option is the hellcat airbox which is fully closed and pulls ambient air directly from outside the car through the inlet tube.
Actually the jlt box is better than the hellcat box , first the filter is bigger . Then the air is pulled from 3 places not just 2 , which would be the front of the car like the hellcat box , the top from the vent on the hood and the bottom from the wheel well. And last the position of the intake air temperature sensor is positioned inside the box which gives a cooler reading than the stock sensor position. So as far as heat soak , the jlt set doesn’t heat soak , it’s within 4-5 degrees of ambient temp when running on a roval road course track on a 105* degree day . It’s a way better design than the hellcat air box , Both in functionality and design .
@@seanem7261 lets put it this way, the hellcat airbox was engineered to feed a 2.4 liter supercharger and a 92mm throttle body. . My 0-100 got 2 tenths of a second faster consistently without a tune. The shops tune those intakes with the hood open which is unrealistic since they are removing all the heat soak you would get in real life, blowing up the numbers of that JLT. I used to have a mopar intake which was same shit as JLT and it got heavy heat soak. Lastly, that JLT doesnt have an inlet tube feeding it air directly from the front of the headlight.. Where in this video did they install this enlighten me pls. Still just breathes from 2 lol

I have a 2022 scat pack only issue with most of these things it voids the warranty. I got a 10yr/100k mile bumper to bumper, 5 year maintenance (oil/tires/battery) and I love that part. Would you happen to have a video on parts I can upgrade my vehicle with? Thank you!
Hey Peppi, as it turns out, how dealerships handle warranties with aftermarket parts varies greatly from one to the other. It isn't possible to confidently say a certain set of parts would or would not void a warranty as a blanket statement. We have seen several dealerships not even blink twice when it comes to bolt-ons, but that definitely isn't the case at all dealerships.

@@peppilameu3144 You can maybe try to see if your dodge dealer does the direct connection thing that dodge offers, with performance parts for our cars without voiding your warranty, I’m not sure if every dealer participates in it or it’s just certain ones, you should look into it

My local dealership has a team that works on custom cars, they said they can do the work. But that is a lot of $$ for a poultry amount of HP gains IMO.

I heard running a 180 degree thermostat is not a good idea. Can you tell me people say that?
As a general rule, the factory temp thermostat is balanced for fuel economy and power, and other things, making it run cooler allows it to make more power, to the detriment of mpg.

Peak numbers only tell a part of the story. The biggest change here is in the mid range. Check out the dyno graph at the end, this picked up 56hp and 54tq in the 4200 rpm range.

No, they don’t.
Good call, Kevin! Naturally aspirated 6.4L Hemis do recognize gains from E85, but typically not as strong as the Coyote 5.0Ls.

These cars run really hot stock so that they can pass emissions, put a 180tstat the car will be more consitent and pulls harder due to colder temps

A combination of all modifications performed. One doesn't necessarily carry all the weight.
I think if you break them in correctly you get that extra power. I did so I hope so.

My 392 with headers cai exhaust is making 473 whp on a factory tune on a sae mustang dyno I went to 3 Differnt dynos same results so it’s not a fluke my trap speed is 117-119 so it makes sense do you know how this is possible? I’m on a factory tune

@@NationalSpeedInc yes we checked for any porting heads or manifold it was all stock we checked if the car was tuned it’s not I ran a fbo e85 392 beat it by 2 half cars and I ran tuned bolt ons 10r80s beating them after 130 my 60-130 is in mid 10 seconds in 90+ degrees we can’t wrap are head around it I got over 200 videos of races you can check out it doesn’t make sense

Can you put a supercharger on a 6.4 and if so what kinda gains would be expected
Watched a few videos; stock internals with a hellcat supercharger at 6 psi claimed around 550 rwhp.

479 to the wheels, 485 is to the crank stock
That dyno is also running pretty hot. You should expect 420-430 on most dynos stock
Your actually making closer to 420hp to the wheels the motor is rated for 485hp it’s power to spin all the components by the time the power hits the tires you lose about 15% through the drivetrain
Yeah, as others have commented, your Charger absolutely has 485hp at the engine. By the time that power goes through the drivetrain and is measured at the rear wheels, we normally see 420-440whp for 100% stock vehicles.

@@alexandrogonzalez1991 it’s got a computer attached, yes you can manipulate it easily. I don’t think many shops do it, because they know it’ll be found out. Take this case for example, no stock Scat Pack makes 450 to the wheels.
🚨I'm new to this car world when it comes to dyno readings and things of that nature, so someone help me out and explain this to me. I thought scatpacks had horsepower of 485... so why was the baseline 450hp and the stage 2 was 479hp horsepower? Wouldn't the stage 2 bring the horsepower up by 45hp, which would make the 485hp into 530hp but the stage 2 gave a reading of 479hp. How is that so? Can someone explain that me. Like I said I'm new to this
Hey Bee! What you are describing is something called "Drivetrain Loss". Think of it this way: It takes energy to move the torque converter, transmission, drive shaft, rear end, wheels/tires etc. All of those parts have mass that requires energy from the engine to move. When you measure the output at the engine, then measure the output at the wheels, that difference is the drivetrain loss. That loss varies greatly from vehicle to vehicle!

It’s an easy mix up for a company that sees 20+ cars a month a maybe a fraction of them are scatpacks. 2018 was the last year for the SRT 392 Scatpack. National speed doesn’t care about the name. They care about tuning your car, and getting paid at the end of the day.

Can do all the bolt ons you want, and dyno pulls all you want but you cannot tune a 2019 and up without a pcm upgrade. So, this is NOT tuned, just bolt ons.
Cant tune without a pcm upgrade....
