2015 2SS new owner here, and I do NOT trust anyone to gap the new plugs for me....thanks for the vid, even a few years later. Also, I'm wanting to paint mine a dark blue, so a lot of the things you've done have given me some great ideas. Thank you again......
Awesome video... I went to Evans tires yesterday to have the oil changed and tires rotation.. of course they called saying my plugs need replacement... $608!! I said no sir, thanks.
I know this video is a bit old, but I'm considering getting one next month, how is it replacing the rear spark plugs? Is it like the F body where you curse engineers and their blood line? Or is it easier?
And that's why I specifically gave a heads up on the passenger side. I think I've seen another DIY video where it does the passenger side if that helps.
Awesome video. I have a question? Does the 5th gen Camaro SS Models all have to be .40 gap no matteer it's stock or modified? My 2010 Camaro SS is modified with stage 4 cam long tube headers ect ect. Be my first time changing the plugs. Thanks.
What I gave is the recommended for stock. On camaro5 there's a few posts were they address the specific plugs and gapping measurements for cammed or boosted cars.
Yes that is it. Also you might get a check engine light for cylinder 4 misfire that means it’s time for new plugs. Also if soemtimes an error pops up saying “service stabilitrack” that’s another indicator
@nickperry523 wow everything you described happened to me today down to the T ! Check engine light popped on, car idles rough, service stabilitrak came on and I noticed my car bucks a little when I'm coming to a stop. 2013, that just reached 101k miles. The bucking has stopped after i turned the car off and later took it for another drive. The indicator lights have not come back but it's still idling rough. Guess it's safe to assume it could be time to replace the spark plugs.
Never... never... never use anti-seize on spark plugs. You can over torque and damage the threads in the head, damage the casing on the plug causing blowby and/or create resistance in the grounding path of the plug. Plugs usually are already treated to prevent seizing.
I went with stock ones man. Check out Camaro5 for some recommendations. But unless you going cam or more I don't think there is a need to go differently unless for price saving.

I have the V-6, but this was very helpful for me. Your Camaro is beautiful, and your video helped a girl trying to figure it out.💜
I'm so glad I could help! Thank you so much :) Have a good one!

How was the car idling before you change the plugs ? Did you get a code for misfire ?

Hey Craig! Thanks for subbing my channel. Really appreciate it! Glad to see a fellow ABM LIKES MY CONTENT :)
Any tricks to putting spark plug back in that’s directly in front of oil dipstick? I noticed you did one side in this video?
Sweet ride I love the color and it’s a stick! Mine is a stick and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Hope you still have it!
Wat kind of injectors are those
I have a 2014 z28 sputtering and backfiring and no power what could that issue be
I want to replace my spark plus but do I need to clean my fuel injectors first
You made it look easier that what it is.
The passenger side would have been more realistic to see.
And that's why I specifically gave a heads up on the passenger side. I think I've seen another DIY video where it does the passenger side if that helps.
Tried doing this and my toaster isn't making me waffles. Great vid though 👌

0.4 inches right? not mm?
Sweden here ;)
Is your idle a little bit rough? I got a slight shudder in my seat during idle. Thinking I might need new spark plugs

Yes what Nick says is true about the “service Stabilitrack”
Great vid nick and awesome SS stunning
@@nickperry523 I’m getting a mis fire cylinder 7 should I replace the spark plugs or is it something else

How long did all 8 take? I need to do this
About and hour or so. The passenger side is really right and could require more attention than the driver.
Can a bad spark plug cause an air fuel imbalance or a misfire? Thanks
Not sure about the fuel imbalance but for sure a misfire!
@@gvaspirated cool thanks, what bolts did you use for the long tubes?
Fuel imbalance is more like a 02 sensor n mass air flow problem
I need help changing my spark plugs 😢
Does your remote start work because you fixed that ?
Which are better, aftermarket or oem coil packs for a stock camaro with Lt headers?
Stock ones should be good even for LT headers, the plugs are what are often debated on. Maybe MSD for wires!
Do NGK plugs make a difference? Or best to stay with ACDelco
I haven't really tried the NGK tbh. Sorry I couldn't be more informative
If u car is not stock and un fbt putt Ngk iridium
Ngk Is Japanese like denso they make much better parts

@@gvaspirated thank you!!
How often should it be changed on a bolts on Camaro ss brother?
no idea about bolt ons bro. i know 100k miles is typical
What rims are those
z28 wheels
What are the yellow things?
Hey man! Those are the coilpacks
SHIETTT man show us how to get the hardest plug out not the easiest one
Yo, sorry about that man. Hope you were able to get it done.
The passenger side is NOT easy. It's a pain in the ass to do.
Where is #7 spark plug on camaro ss
Merci pour ce super tuto
de rein!
what torque?
I need to get my car tuned bro to get those numbers
@@gvaspirated He is probably asking what torque do the spark plugs need to be tightened to. Answer: 15 N·m (11 lb ft).
GREAT VIDEO. THANKS FOR POSTING.
Glad you enjoyed it man!
Thank you.
Your check engine light was on.
yup!
@@gvaspirated why? Do you know?
@@stevetendrich398 yeah because of my straight pipe setup bro
Point forty 😆🤔. Why did you have to say it so many times. 1 or 2 I can let fly, but bro 😂
