It really is designed to be used for anything you need it to do. Beauty of a drop point or sheepsfoot, with a belly. Awesome video. I like to see how a knifes edge holds up after good use. Or how the knife itself holds up. I do not like grivory scales but, everyone swears by this knife. I have a Shootout, which is grivory and cruwear. You would think it's a toy by holding it. The Shootout takes abuse very well.
Thank you, I appreciate you watching. I'm indifferent to grivory scales. For some reason they've kinda grown on me with the claymore. For this knife specifically. I'll have to check out The Shootout. Take care.
I didn’t like the plastic scales at first but after having a Claymore my mind is completely changed. I’ve grown to love it! This is the best EDC knife ever made
Have the Claynore but I carry my Shootout as an edc because of how light it is and the the functionality. Love Benchmade and Microtech knives. Have the Combat Troodan Hellhound Microtech knife is an absolute beast.
Great review Drew! Benchmade is an awesome knife company. Man that knife just keeps cutting. Slicing that leather was nice. Wicked nice semi-auto! Great video Drew! 👍🏻💪🏻☘️🇺🇸
Thank you John, 6 months from now I'll give a true review. It seems to be a very capable knife, I think it'll hold up. My first Benchmade. Figured it would be a good one, I almost went for the Adamas auto but figured the Claymore would be a better day to day carry. Take care my friend!
Great review it’s good to see a knife in use. That I’m interested in. I care less about all these reviews. That talks about the weight, width or how long it is. I can find that out myself if I buy it. And I don’t care when they put other knives on the table to compare it with. I want to know how it holds up when it’s used for everyday tasks. Thank you for a great review.
@@UltraMAGAandproudofit i have never been searched other than going thru security iam 41yrs old. This how they control us. Are you not responsible enough to weild any knife you are comfortable with holding? Why are you so easily to fall in line with things that take away from your self liberties?
I love this knife. I chopped about a quarter of my index finger with it yesterday. First knife I ever had that I inadvertently drew my own blood with. Thing is so sharp I barely felt it and it took a solid two seconds before blood began to flow. No stitches though. Extremely embarrassing lol
Very well made, it's holding up solid. I notice a big difference in the CPM D2 as compared to regular D2. I'm indifferent to grivory scales but really like them on this handle for some reason. Strong and light. I wouldn't hesitate, after having and using it a bit, to take it into a tough situation. I wouldn't hammer it through a cinder block wall but I don't feel I have to go easy on it either. Glad you got one brother, thanks for watching 🤙🏻
Year later and mine is still in my pocket. That's alot coming from a knife guy let me tell ya. Can't seem to make its way out of my pocket. Dang fine knife even a year later
I like the lab in the back ground. He is disgusted by you destroying his favorite thing in the world… STICKS.. Dad I’m not mad at you just disappointed.
Problem i have with this knife an i love the thing is, price. The Bailout has aluminum scales an an M4 blade for $235, i really wanted to buy this one but it was damn near same price as the Bailout with lesser material, your paying for the auto, in all honest opinion tho the grivory iam sure is tough as nails as well an the CPM- D2 is way better than regular D2 i suppose i just being a knife snob but facts are facts
I get that, all viable arguments. I guess I just really like the overall design a bunch. Because it's so light, it can kind of trick you into thinking it's cheaply made. Kind of threw me off at first. I like em big and durable ( my knives haha) but the claymore has grown on me big-time. Thanks for watching 🤙🏻
@@MountaincraftOutdoors its gonna be my next knife for sure, ive learned that CPM-D2 does much better than i thought an the grivory is just as strong, its not like its used as a sledgehammer its a damn knife i was just bieng a snob that i dont like to be lol
I like Benchmade and I have a bunch of them this one I bought the Clone, I know that's kind of a cardinal sin but I just can't see paying $250 for a Grivory knife, although I do love it, if it was priced around 175 I would have already bought it, but it is cool and I appreciate you doing the test man this is great! I'm glad to see it really does hold up. Who knows, it may eat at me until I just can't stand it and I'll have to put one on layaway or something. It's lightweight when I'm taking the dog out at night in my sweatpants this is what I put in my pocket, cuz I like it's light strong fast and I can't hardly tell it's in my sweatpants! Nice review!

Nothing like a Mountaincraft Outdoors knife review! Never heard of this one. Hope all is well, Drew!
You too Frank, thanks for watching brotherman!
Nice blade shape for working wood thanks for showing! 👍
Thanks for watching 🤙 I'll have to see how it holds up, pretty solid.
Nice demo 👏🏻 Also, I think your pooch is very vigilant 😁
Thank you Steve, believe it or not I have an Uncle Steve King. I appreciate you watching.

Awesome knife and video! Unfortunately the state I live in, auto knives are illegal which sucks! Love your outdoor videos, keep them coming brother!
Knife laws are pretty dumb, sorry to hear. Thanks for watching, much appreciated! Take care brother.
How often are you searched by the police?
@@wolverinebear5357u do realize that IF he is searched for any reason, that could be a felony charge?

The blade play is typical of an auto. They have to be slightly loose for the mechanism to work efficiently
Just got mine yesterday , love it so far . Love your pup also . I have 2 black labs :) .
Hope you enjoy the knife. Nothing compares to building a connection with a dog (or two). Thanks for watching.

Super glue is a great option in replace of stitches. I appreciate you watching 🤙🏻
Thought I saw a young black bear club at first!
;) thanks for watching 🤙🏻
Enjoy these reviews. keep them coming.

How are you liking it so far brother 3 months in? I just purchased one and it's instantly my favorite Benchmade, hoping it holds up.

Taking a folding knife outdoors and treating it like a fixed blade .. ok
Glad you approve and I appreciate you watching Brian 👍🏻
Buy a $10 knife for that. Not a $200 knife. 👍
