haha jaguars front fascia is just boring to me so I dont really see the subtle differences each model has. If a design is striking to me, I wouldnt mind the copy paste as much. To me jaguar has a clean and elegant design, but a bit boring for young people. And you are absolutely right on the family part.
Since Ford motors sold Jagaur and Land rover brands, these brands have started to come up with very good designed cars. Hopefully Jaguar and Land rover are more reliable than before.

I'm finding it hard to Justify spending my own money (What If scenario) on this. I might still go german with an E-Class or a 5-Series. What i'm really waiting for is a new sedan from Volvo with their new Gadgets and stuff.
Will be tough for Jaguar to compete against the new BMW 340i, 435i or a 5 series at the same price point. I can't see a value proposition to take over BMW in this segment or even an Audi A6.
+bodrulm1 Automakers do need to sell volume, even in the premium segment. Unless if you are Bentley or Rolls Royce. At least in the US Jaguar is behind. It is positioned to grab share from the German brands. The interior is boring and I don't see the value to pay over $10k what I would pay on their direct competitors from BMW, Audi or even the E-Class. I have a 4-series and it drives amazingly.

The XE is tne ENTRY level Jag. They dont have a small 1 series competitor. That tells you who the target market are.

In the end sales is the metric even if you have a higher profit per car. Jaguar sells 20k cars in the US per year, BMW 500k - 50 times more! BMW grew 5% last year Jaguar decreased its figures, so I am not the only one right. Americans don't see the right value proposition for the money in Jaguars nowadays. This is fact.

The inside still looks very dated, very boring looking also. The seats look very cheap. I've always notice in low mile used jags the leather already looks wrinkled n worn....even at 30k miles...outside looks great but it's a clear clone of the xe....which was suppose to give jag a huge boost.....but won't because it'll old as it will look like it's already been here because of the xf

just replace my 10-year-old x 2.2d at 198k miles for 2018 2.2 xf. WHAT A SLUG. poor acceleration, poor response, old x type out accelerate the xf and has better mpg. will sell xf and not have another jaguar
I love how Jaguar has a similar front-fascia on XE, XF, and the F-Pace to show the brand identity. It's unique, and attractive!
