They have messed about with the headlights again. They had it with the second generation. These look like a compromise between 1st and 2nd gen. Regulations dictating design?
Where is the v8? Where is the LED DASH AND BIG NAVI?
TRELL5044 I bought a used 2015 for this exact reason. Supercharged 5.0L v8 is a good time. I also think the last generation has way more presence. The hood bulges, the big chrome grill, the sinister oversized jaguar logo....

I always thought that the R models of Jaguars had the higher output than the S motors. Is this not the case anymore?

I think the opposite, jaguars have always had very pretty and nice interiors, today they just look like any other regular car. (Can you try to look less nerdy?)

Preferably have never really wanted to be in a Jaguar. From the front fascia to the styling of the ass shall I say, are quite different. Here in Dallas, jaguar isn't all that commons. Maybe that's why I haven't fully taken an interest in it. Like I could afford one anyways.
So no Supercharged 5.0l V8 in the future

Everyone is copying the Audi style where each car looks mostly the same just different dimensions.... and hey, it works.
You have to see this car in person to see the updates vs. the previous XF - but it does look MUCH more modern than the previous gen.
I love the exterior look (love all jaguars) but the interior is just not as good as a Mercedes, and the upcoming E-Class will have an insane interior. Granted, the Mercedes is also likely to have its seats bleed glue all over the car, so take it for what you will (google this common issue in the new C class, GLC, etc).
Was considering another BMW when my lease ends in mid 2016, but think I will get the XE instead, drove it during the performance tour in LA, and while the interior isn't Ritz, the car drives like a cheetah on steroids.
I wish you guys would've tested Jaguar's claim of 24 MPG combined, especially because they've been known to be exaggerated.

Hi. I just got one and it does get 24mpg combined in average. You can probably squeeze a little more depending on how you drive.

this is definitely nice but the problem is the design, it already looks bland and old, how is this design going to live for another 6-7 years?
It will age much better than any of its competitors especially the Lexus GS line. It has good proportions and clean lines. I suppose you want the designers to throw as many design elements as they possibly can into the hood (again see every new Toyota product).
In 2024 I’m looking to get this 2016 in 2025. The design holds up well still
