I've been drinking Four Roses Small Batch and i have to say it's one of my favorites. Maybe a Four Rose review between the regular, single barrel, and small batch? It's great bourbon though. Thanks for the videos gentlemen. Keep them coming.
Four Roses single barrel, yes. One of my favorite bourbon's to date. I'm new to the bourbon guild. The whiskey vault is great. I love watching, great job guys.
Four Roses Single Barrel is one of my favorite bourbons!! It's truly a delight to my palate! Thanks for the review guys!! Rex.. I love your soul man. The episode contains the requisite quantity of shenanigans!
You guys have no idea how pumped I was to come home from work and see this review of one of my favorite bourbons. I just started watching a few weeks ago but you are now my go-to source for entertainment on the interwebs. Looking forward to attending one of your classes someday!
Wait, does that make you Gandalf? Beard? Check. Long, wavy hair? Check. Robe? Check. Eagles give you things? Check. Hanging out with Hobbits? Check. I think it has been confirmed that Rex is Gandalf.
HA !!! Watching on my phone and it vibrated from a text at the exact moment of the beard sparkle and for a split second I was like "hey how'd they do that" lol
see I love this type of comments, but hope you can imagine it gets awfully confusing using all these abreviations everywhere bcs..the SB can stand for the Small Batch, as well as Single Barrell..
I have been drinking whisk(ey)/scotch for awhile but love to find a channel that is as well informed as you guys and keeps it entertaining to watch. Keep it up mates!
Four Roses is my go to bourbon. I feel that, though the Single Barrel is good, the Small Batch is better. Great theory on the mixing water. Keep doing what you are doing guys; really enjoy your reviews.
Four Roses Small Batch and Single Barrel have always been two of my go-to bourbons since I've been of legal age. For the money I think Small Batch beats out many other similarly-priced bottles, and it's usually $10 cheaper than the Single Barrel. I also think they had the best distillery tour when I visited Lexington with my buddies, cheap ticket and very knowledgeable staff. We did Buffalo Trace, Four Roses, and Woodford in that order drinking a fifth of bourbon between each distillery. So I kind of forget Woodford and definitely forget what happened later on in Lexington. Little did we know when we got to Kentucky that the distilleries aren't like wineries and we could only drink 1-2 oz total, so the solution was keep the water cups and buy a fifth at the gift shop. Next time we'll remember to eat lunch and drink water. I do have a question for you about Four Roses. Have you tried their two Japanese-only whiskey - Super Premium and Black Label? The tour guide talked a lot about them but they had nothing to try at the distillery. I'm curious if those versions are much closer to Japanese whiskey than they are to bourbons.
I got a bottle of Four Roses Single Barrel for Christmas, never had it before. Trying it out right now as I watch this review. It is absolutely delicious! Definitely a hot bourbon, you may add a few drops of water if you're not a fan, but the flavor is phenomenal. I don't mind standard Four Roses as an everyday bourbon especially for cocktails, but this single barrel is truly next level. I'm very impressed.
I just picked up my first bottle(single barrel). It’s nice. On ice 🧊 it is ridiculously smooth literally like water; easy to drink. I appreciate it more neat.
So you can buy a pound of calcium carbonate for like $9 online. I did a little reading online, and if the internet is to be believed, Lexington's water, which should be close to Lawrenceburg's, is about 100 ppm CaCO3. Since there's about 4L to a gallon of water, you could just take a $0.99 gallon of distilled water and dissolve around 400mg CaCO3 into it to get roughly the same product as that $17 bottle of water. Total cost would be about $1/gallon (400g is about 0.09% of that $9 bag.) 400 mg isn't a lot, so unless you've got a high-end scale at home, you might have a hard time getting the ratios exact, but getting close to the same product for a fraction of the cost sounds good to me.
The tough part is that, at room temp, CaCO3 has a solubility of roughly 15 mg/L. Lowering the temperature (yes, CaCO3 dissolves better in cold water) will help some, but there's no way you're getting 400 ppm CaCO3 into distilled water.
I tried to search for it but i think you dont have made a video on the Glenfarclas 105 cask strength. I think it is underrated if you look at its price and i think it would be nice to see you trying it with and without water.
Was recently in my local shop. They had several 4roses single barrel bottles. Most was from warehouse A-something but there was a few bottles that said warehouse NN. The NN bottles did not have the faux leather band and paper info pamphlet around the neck. The NN was noticeably different in smoothness and flavor profile.
You guys bring a nice perspective to non mixing, I am using many of your posts as a bar to create a fair whisk(e)y collection. So thanks and good luck with your all your endeavors.
I like the 4 roses traditional but for christmas i recieved the single barrel... and holy shit. I love it... i also recieved a mixology set up and 10 various bpttles of liqour, but the four roses single barrel is the undisputed champ of everything i got
Hey guys! Just wanted to say that in two weeks I'm going to my cousin's wedding and will be expected to make a toast! I don't know the guy that well, but toasts are big in our family, so with whiskey in hand, I plan on saying the toast you guys end your videos on!
I'm a nay on the single barrel but a BIG yay on the small batch. I have, however, had a store pick single barrel that was great and the recipe was OESQ. It was just a small 2 ounce sample and I haven't been able to find one again. We don't get any store picks in my neck of the woods.
Ok I’ll let ya know in the comments... you guys are lit in this video more than the others!! Lol 4rsb will be my next bottle!! Ps I’m lit from ecsb and bt at this moment....✌🏻 hope this wasn’t from 10 year ago. Best reviews on TH-cam!!!
Funny you mentioned about the different waters. When I started out I used to use tap water as Scotland has a 'soft' water that generally is purer than the water you'll get in England for example. However the house I'm in (until I move in a few weeks so this may change) has pretty poor pipes so the water coming in doesn't taste great, and is way more minerally and chemically than I think it ought to be, and you do notice this in certain whiskies. I switched to bottled water a few months ago and I think it does help bring out some whiskies better than it would with tap water where I'd always pick up that slight mineral - even metallic at times - note.
Also, I'm even worse than you Daniel, I'm bald too but also cursed with a very large head so I can't get a lot hats to fit me! At least there's whisky to soothe my pain! ;)
Something a little off topic and something that is very important that could make for a great video.1)I have noticed in all the videos that the light coming in from the window shines directly on the bottles of whisk[e]y,how does light(not forgetting the UV RAYS) effect the whisk[e]y in the bottle over time, could it perhaps change the color, the taste or cause any other chemical reactions?2)Any tips on how to store ones whisk[e]y like they do for wines, store in a dark area, bright area, damp or even a dry area perhaps?3)With so many whisk[e]y tasting glasses available on the market, how do they compare to each other in your years of experience in tasting and why specifically have you chosen to use the Glencairn Glass?
1st, yes light negatively affects the whisky, similar to wine. We have massive curtains we pull across the windows when we're not shooting. Store whisky just like wine, but without setting it on its side. That will eat the cork. 2nd, my vote is to try all the glasses and find your favorite. I like the glencairn because I understand how it works, and it gives me a consistent baseline to compare whisky
hey guys, first of all I want to say how much I enjoy watching your show. I got in to whisk(e)y a few months ago when I tried to beat my father's Johnnie walker Blue with a cheap bottle. Even tho I have yet to beat it (and im willing to take suggestions at this point) I have got him to watch you show and even enjoy the cheaper whisk(e)y. With your guys help I am starting a movement where I live and getting tons of others in to whisk(e)y as well. Thank you for the laughs and the knowledge, but one suggestion.... when will you all bust out some brandy? or did i miss that episode? Thank again!
Glad that you're watching and enjoying! We'll likely never branch into anything but whisky on this end, but i'm sure there's killer stuff out there for it somewhere!
Thanks for doing a video on the water. I've found it does different things to different bourbons but nothing has been overly spectacular. I'm glad you tasted it by itself bc it does have a nice mineral taste. It's not $17 though. That bottle is more like $10 and you can get it cheaper if you buy more. But like I said, I've found it does make a difference but nothing spectacular. But it's a good conversation starter for sure and something to look cool on the whiskey shelf.
The single barrel was a mind blower for me! My new “go to” ! I Taste and smell vanilla, Cream brûlée’, Black Cherry and maybe an apricot. But it’s the best for the $! Thanks guys!!
My well water comes from lime stone. I had the well company that i use to work for drill my well and we got the water from about 16' into drilled lime stone bed.
I thought I read somewhere that Four Roses Yellow Label is a blend of all ten, Small Batch is a blend of four, and Single Barrel is a single mash/yeast recipe. For Small Batch & Single Barrel, always the same four/one. Can anyone confirm or dispute that with certainty?
I finally stepped up my budget and I am delighted by this bottle. My question is about single barrel vs cask strength? If adding water separates molecules in the bourbon in the glencairn, wouldn't proofing down cask strength lead to different whiskies that end up in each bottle of the same barrel unless they mixed it very thoroughly and bottled immediately?
I'm finding that The Elijah Craig 12 is my sweet spot for bourbon. Do y'all have one of those? I should say that I do have unopened Four Roses Single Barrel and Eagle Rare left to try though.
Four roses single barrel has been a beloved go to for years. When my friend pulls it out it means there's going to be a good evening. A pretty smooth bourbon for being barrel proof. Can you use scholarships or grants towards tuition at the Whiskey Marketing School?
We only have two scholarships and they're both proffered and voted on by existing sommeliers. Unfortunately, we're not an accredited school, so government money doesn't usually extend to us.
I just tasted Four Roses Single Barrel for the first time right before this video! I definitely found it to be pleasant, but contrary to what Daniel said, I feel like I tasted a lot of barrel (very prevalent oak flavor). That being said, the nose was indeed syrupy & even fruity and I very much enjoyed the surprise of the oak in its long finish.
in general are you a bigger fan of single barrel runs or small batch from any brand? or do you think the small batch bottles have enough difference to standard to make it worth the extra cash.
Is there much variation in Four Roses Single Barrel bottlings? I have a bottle from warehouse MW barrel 48-2A. On a side-note do you guys get musty note from bourbon when coming directly from scotch (especially heavily peated Scotch)?
Holcombi, I've read that there is a lot of variation and I think you would expect that with the way they're producing it. I have an unopened bottle of warehouse #T5 (or TS) and barrel 40-2P. Maybe you can post the notes you find in yours and I'll do the same and we'll see where we are?
Have you guys heard of the Drizly app for iPhones? It's an alcohol delivery app, but I use it to find hard to find whiskies near me. It's not available at the Wizard Academy, but if you enter in an address in downtown Austin it works. For example did you know you can pick up Longmorn 16 at Travis Heights Beverage World?
Ive been waiting for this one for a while now. Ever since watching the bourbon vs scotch video on Bourbonblog. Since its the only whisky the cameraman breaks the 4th wall for. Currently I have a bottle of small batch, and when that is gone I plan to replace it with the single barrel. On a separate note. I was going back through the old videos trying to decide my next purchase. During one video Willett Pot Still Reserve was poured and not reviewed. This needs to be corrected!
Great video guys! 17 bucks for water? Um........... 4 Roses is a great Bourbon because at a 100 proof it still pretty damn friendly. Which makes it dangerous if not respected. I'm on the fence to which I like better. Bulliet Bourbon or 4 roses.
80$ in Denmark. Could probably find it cheaper somewhere here. The retailer i usually find whiskeys at (because they have the widest selection) is also a little more expensive that alot of other places. The standard bottle runs at 40$. thats approchable for anyone :)
What did I just watch? But hang on a second... I loved it. I have a question... though can we just leave the whiskey out of it and send you guys on long road trips?
You guys are a hoot to watch. Occasionally I think that I might have learned something! Daniel, if you run your fingers through Rex's hair, tell people you're checking for swelling and fractures!
Just bought a bottle and made a mental note before watching. Neat, it's very complex with a bit of an initial bite, but finishes smooth. I then put a half an ice cube in and it immediately seemed to open it up. That being said, within about 3-4 minutes, it started to lose all of the different flavors. I think next time I'll just put a little water in and skip the ice.
Hey fellas, would you guys be able to get a little in depth regarding the charring process during barrel manufacturing? I have a few questions on the topic: How do they come up with the distinctions between the levels? heat applied over time, thickness of char, degrees of heat, or some other factor? What sort of fuel do they use for the flames that they char with? is there an industry standard or do they use different fuels for different char flavours? Do manufacturers meet specifications, or do manufacturers have a specialty barrel they produce? Do you know if there are any distilleries experimenting with putting their clear spirits in different char levelled barrels for side-by-side tasting comparison to really experience the differences? If no, have you guys thought about doing that with your distillery? Thanks, loving the videos and as always keep up the good "work" (I feel like this might make great after tasting discussion)
So I've mentally hated on Four Roses because so much people like it and I never actually tried it myself. However, I tried a glass of Four Roses at a bar and now I'm actually considering purchasing a bottle.
Sorry, I"m just catching up. But I do have a question... if whiskey (or whisky) is aged for 10, 12, 15, 21, etc. years, and they say to use same water they use for brewing ("branch" water), how can you be sure the water quality is the same now as it was then? Also, since you are distilling the liquid, wouldn't you think that you are removing and heating the water to the point where there wouldn't be any "terroir" effect in using "branch" water?
Daniel, don't be too jealous of Rex's hair. He has the exact same haircut as someone who showed up uninvited to a tailgate party and then tried to get in a fight when they asked him to leave. The dude even had the sunglasses in his hair.
This is a great single barrel, priced fairly and relatively accessible. You guys rock as ever! I do have one request! I’m unsure if I just haven’t walked upon it yet, but have you reviewed old forester 1870 the 90 proof original batch! That’s be a great review to do! Thank you, you magnificent bastards cheers
I LIVE in the junior high locker room! I am pro Four Roses, though I've only had the small batch so far. I need to try the single barrel at some point, but thanks to you jerks, my wishlist has gotten pretty long. And I haven't changed away from Rex belly. It's gonna be hard to top Rex belly.
Never seen a single damn bottle here in salt lake, PLUS, we can't ship booze here, AND can only special order stuff at the liquor store if you order a case. 6! 6 bottles of something. Everyone else just realized how lucky you are.
I just bought a bottle of this today, then searched your channel for a review. Next time I go to the liquor store I'm going to be standing there for an hour watching videos on my phone.
Love your videos, been watching since you were on the modern rogue. I'm going to be on a business trip in Houston for 2 weeks and was wondering if there are any bars or distilleries I should make sure to stop at while I'm in town? also looking for scotch recommendations, I started with Johnnie Walker black and have since moved onto the green label which I really enjoy. keep up the great work
How about a blind taste test competition between the two of you...mooch vs sommelier!.... Love four roses sb along with elijah 12 and eagle rare 12 by the way
I've been drinking Four Roses Small Batch and i have to say it's one of my favorites. Maybe a Four Rose review between the regular, single barrel, and small batch? It's great bourbon though. Thanks for the videos gentlemen. Keep them coming.
Damn good bourbon! I'm sipping Four Roses single barrel while watching this video. I always enjoy your videos. Cheers whiskey tribe!
The episode contains the requisite quantity of shenanigans!
thanks for watching and loving!
I agree. I tried this for the first time last night and I love it.
You guys have no idea how pumped I was to come home from work and see this review of one of my favorite bourbons. I just started watching a few weeks ago but you are now my go-to source for entertainment on the interwebs. Looking forward to attending one of your classes someday!
Glad you're here!
5:33 Daniel's beard sparkles. I had to replay it a few times to make sure my mind wasn't playing tricks on me. That's hilarious!
bagehi, there's magic in the shire.
Wait, does that make you Gandalf? Beard? Check. Long, wavy hair? Check. Robe? Check. Eagles give you things? Check. Hanging out with Hobbits? Check. I think it has been confirmed that Rex is Gandalf.
i approve of this confirmation.
HA !!! Watching on my phone and it vibrated from a text at the exact moment of the beard sparkle and for a split second I was like "hey how'd they do that" lol
bagehi 9:45 for rex!
I am envious of that whiskey wall.
Out of the handful of reasonably priced bourbons that's I've tried, the Four Roses SB is my favorite.
see I love this type of comments, but hope you can imagine it gets awfully confusing using all these abreviations everywhere bcs..the SB can stand for the Small Batch, as well as Single Barrell..
Four Roses Single Barrel tastes like Christmas in a glass. Got a bottle a few months ago as a tip. Keep up the great work.
I have been drinking whisk(ey)/scotch for awhile but love to find a channel that is as well informed as you guys and keeps it entertaining to watch. Keep it up mates!
Just bought my first bottle of 4 Rose's single barrel and I love it.
Literally drank a few sips before watching this.
Had it tonight for the first time...absolutely love it. New favorite
I'm not a big bourbon guy, but I do really enjoy four roses single barrel.
Same it's so good it's not harsh its perfect
Bought it for the first time over Christmas, and it immediately went into my top 2-3 whiskeys.
Four Roses is my go to bourbon. I feel that, though the Single Barrel is good, the Small Batch is better. Great theory on the mixing water. Keep doing what you are doing guys; really enjoy your reviews.
I bought a bottle of Four Roses single barrel bourbon. The proprietor of the liquor store says “Good choice”. I loved it. It’s great bourbon

Science for the win!
All those years working in a lab have finally produced a real world practical application!

You Sir are a Scholar and a Gentleman.
You guys made me appreciate whiskey! Don’t stop making videos!
Bought my first bottle of Four Roses inspired by you guys! Damn good Bourbon! Thank you!

They must’ve tasted a lot ( for science!) in that first take for this video.
Four Roses on the rocks is my go to.
This is the first single barrel bottle I've ever gotten and the most I've spent on a bottle but Four Roses Single Barrel is phenomenal.
How much did u spend ? I live in Illinois and I just spent 42 dollars on a bottle
I like the 4 roses traditional but for christmas i recieved the single barrel... and holy shit. I love it... i also recieved a mixology set up and 10 various bpttles of liqour, but the four roses single barrel is the undisputed champ of everything i got

Perfect timing, managed to find a supplier of this in Australia only last week, and will watch this whilst sipping on this amber angel juice

You guys should do a review on all 10 Four Roses single barrel (2 mash bills 5 yeasts ?) how would you go about getting them all? Sounds like fun.
Something a little off topic and something that is very important that could make for a great video.1)I have noticed in all the videos that the light coming in from the window shines directly on the bottles of whisk[e]y,how does light(not forgetting the UV RAYS) effect the whisk[e]y in the bottle over time, could it perhaps change the color, the taste or cause any other chemical reactions?2)Any tips on how to store ones whisk[e]y like they do for wines, store in a dark area, bright area, damp or even a dry area perhaps?3)With so many whisk[e]y tasting glasses available on the market, how do they compare to each other in your years of experience in tasting and why specifically have you chosen to use the Glencairn Glass?

hey guys, first of all I want to say how much I enjoy watching your show. I got in to whisk(e)y a few months ago when I tried to beat my father's Johnnie walker Blue with a cheap bottle. Glad that you're watching and enjoying! We'll likely never branch into anything but whisky on this end, but i'm sure there's killer stuff out there for it somewhere!
Thank you guys! so what can I use to beat a blue? any suggestions under 100$
What do you put in it if you don’t want it “dry”?
Thanks for doing a video on the water. I've found it does different things to different bourbons but nothing has been overly spectacular. I'm glad you tasted it by itself bc it does have a nice mineral taste. It's not $17 though. That bottle is more like $10 and you can get it cheaper if you buy more. Yeah, when I googled it, I saw it for $16.99 somewhere, and then realized it was a different product after you commented. Dang it!

Tyler Schettler yes, this is accurate. And to confirm, the single is OBSV.

This Chanel is an example of what happens when you give kids grown up money , and we love it
I'm finding that The Elijah Craig 12 is my sweet spot for bourbon. Do y'all have one of those?

Yeah, there's a very high chance that all of our tasting notes were skewed based on the order we tried things in. Glad you're in for the journey!
in general are you a bigger fan of single barrel runs or small batch from any brand? or do you think the small batch bottles have enough difference to standard to make it worth the extra cash.
It really depends on the brand. Sometimes it's my favorite expression. Other times, I'm not that impressed.
Four roses is pretty good, I recently picked up 2 35 percent rye store pick bottles and I must say they are quite delightful and tasty.
Instead of water, do a test with the spirit aerator made by Vinturi. I think it makes a difference.
For a midrange price. This is one of my favorites. Great sipper
love the single barrel and the small batch Four Roses, Great video guys
Is there much variation in Four Roses Single Barrel bottlings? I have a bottle from warehouse MW barrel 48-2A.

I've not noted a massive difference but I only have a few. And yes, absolutely I get the musty note.
So, in regards to Four Roses, how different are the single barrel and the small batch? Which do you prefer?
Cool! good to know! the bevmo near me stocks both and I couldn't decide which to get. I'll keep that in mind!
Both of these make my top 5 bourbon list. I would give a very slight edge to the Small Batch.
As a Tennessee native limestone medium hardness water kicks ass! Damn I miss it living here in Phoenix.
NEver heard of it! Downloading now.
Four Roses single barrel OBSV is currently my favorite bourbon.
This needs to be corrected!
yes! it does!
Great video guys! 17 bucks for water? Um........... 4 Roses is a great Bourbon because at a 100 proof it still pretty damn friendly. Which makes it dangerous if not respected.
I'm on the fence to which I like better. Bulliet Bourbon or 4 roses.
What does Topo Chico do to whiskey?
Ok, this lack of a coherent straight forward tasting is why this is my favorite whiskey channel on youtube.
I haven't had many difrent kinds if whisky but fore roses is by far my favorite
While drinking jim beam or crown royal, im not sure why but i always get a metal after taste does anyone else get that?
Just bought a bottle and made a mental note before watching. Neat, it's very complex with a bit of an initial bite, but finishes smooth. I then put a half an ice cube in and it immediately seemed to open it up. That being said, within about 3-4 minutes, it started to lose all of the different flavors. I think next time I'll just put a little water in and skip the ice.
Daniel - Do you use beardoil to make it sparkle?
I use black magic.
Whiskey Vault if magic is mentioned I will make the connection to the shire, I feel it's my duty as a subscriber.
Whiskey Vault I don't know that brand 😅😅
Stephen Hill That flew over my head at first, I don't think I've ever had the pleasure of trying black magic chocolates.
Yes! My favorite bourbon
Hey fellas, would you guys be able to get a little in depth regarding the charring process during barrel manufacturing? I have a few questions on the topic:
How do they come up with the distinctions between the levels? heat applied over time, thickness of char, degrees of heat, or some other factor?
What sort of fuel do they use for the flames that they char with? is there an industry standard or do they use different fuels for different char flavours?
Do manufacturers meet specifications, or do manufacturers have a specialty barrel they produce?
Do you know if there are any distilleries experimenting with putting their clear spirits in different char levelled barrels for side-by-side tasting comparison to really experience the differences? If no, have you guys thought about doing that with your distillery?
Thanks, loving the videos and as always keep up the good "work"
(I feel like this might make great after tasting discussion)
This is a lot of questions. I'll work my way through it as we can. :-)
Ryan Taylor good questions!
ahh wonderful thanks!
I have the same hairstyle as Daniel's and I can rock a nice hat. I like a nice scally cap.
12th still not first try again tomorrow.
How about willet rye.
Guys, what do you think of using alkaline water, such as Costco Alkaline Water, to get that limestone mineral water taste sensation?
I thought you guys reviewed Maker's Mark. Am I wrong? I can't find it.
Not yet!
Only one thing can top Rex Belly. (Purposefully capitalized) Rex Chest. (not asking, just saying)
This is unhealthy.
I'm open to other things topping Rex Belly. For a little while, I had a pic of pre-beard Daniel, which I was fairly proud of.
this thread just took a weird turn. quick! whats the safe word?!
Rex in hindsight, it didn't start off great when I said I lived in a junior high locker room. That was unfortunate phrasing.
heheheheheheheh
Never seen a single damn bottle here in salt lake, PLUS, we can't ship booze here, AND can only special order stuff at the liquor store if you order a case. 6! 6 bottles of something. Everyone else just realized how lucky you are.
Wyatt King Can’t get the single barrell where I live as well. Try going to Lees Discount Liquor in West Wendover they have it.
Order 6 bottles of this
Have you had Jameson: Cooper's Croze? I am curious how it compares to regular Jameson or the Jameson: Black Barrel.
We have a bottle but I haven't opened it yet.
The Single Barrel I got has notes of pears. Delicious.
I just cracked open a bottle of four roses tonight. It’s really good especially for the price.
I have the small batch.
So out of the 11:25 Of this video, which part was the review of the whiskey?
It's anyone's best guess
My favorite Bourbon. A splash of water brings vanilla, cherry, stewed apples and butterscotch.
That sparkle on the sparkletts
I just bought a bottle of this today, then searched your channel for a review. Next time I go to the liquor store I'm going to be standing there for an hour watching videos on my phone.
For science
I love it when you get nerdy ;)
Is this a kink?
Really wanna try this would see it all the time and go to the cheaper version but I gotta step my game up
Absolutely one of my top picks.
I live in PEI, Canada. The bourbon section of our liquor store is pathetic, no Four Roses to be found. :(
But, you're just down the road from Glen Breton Distillery, Glenora! Plus, Anne of Green Gables is awesome. :-)
Hah, didn't realize Anne of Green Gables was so well known outside of Eastern Canada.
Love your videos, been watching since you were on the modern rogue. I'm going to be on a business trip in Houston for 2 weeks and was wondering if there are any bars or distilleries I should make sure to stop at while I'm in town? also looking for scotch recommendations, I started with Johnnie Walker black and have since moved onto the green label which I really enjoy. keep up the great work
I don't know Houston all that well, but I've heard that Reserve 101 is awesome.
four roses single barrel vs bulliet red label. what would win?
I am willing to find out! Bulliet is delicious.
Love Four Roses single barrel
How about a blind taste test competition between the two of you...mooch vs sommelier!.... Love four roses sb along with elijah 12 and eagle rare 12 by the way
I was promised science! Bring me science! haha. I need that on a t-shirt
Big yes.
