    Pedal Frenzy by Have Guitar
    This time around we'll have a look the guitar multi-effects pedal FX600 from Behringer. This stomp pedal is an alternative for those who are on a tighter budget as it only costs around 20 euros (about 22 USD). The FX600 comes with no less than six different effects: Flanger, Chorus, Phaser, Delay, Tremolo and Pitch Shifter. Maybe I should add this is a 24-bit digital effects pedal as well. (There isn't much more technical spec's available than this!)
    Alright, so in this demo/review I will playing a Fender Stratocaster, through the Kemper Profiling Amp - the Behringer FX600 is hooked up through the Kempers FX loop. And if you didn't - the Kemper takes pedals as well as any tube amplifier. I have chosen to use Kemper profiles from ToneJunkie's 67 Supery Verb pack - Kemper profiles taken from a Fender Super Reverb from 67. I have consistently used one all clean profile and one slightly overdriven profile for all of the effects in the FX600.

    Due to user failure all the closeups of the FX600 while playing with the clean profile was shot in timelapse mode, so there will not be any close-ups of that - sorry!
    Index:

    03:19 - Flanger
    05:12 - Chorus
    07:33 - Phaser

    I actually happened to come across one just this week at a pawn shop for cheap. Normally, because of my past experience with lower end pedels . I avoid them,but for the price and the fact I hadn't heard of this one from behringer. Bought it,and I mean really it's not that bad. I could gig with it and make it work and be content with a few of the options. For the price and what it's able to do. Heck yeah I'd give it a solid three out of five maybe a tad more .
    The chores I find is the most useful and easy to control and achieve close to what sound I was wanting
    Ummm,the delay and trem... Well again,that's alot to ask from just one single pedel, but for a backup or someone starting out. Buy one,it's worth it.

    • @haveguitar

      Good comment, and I think you put your finger one the right spot - not bad for the price. It is really fantastic what you can get for your money nowadays when it comes to pedals... Thanks for commenting!

    With the pitch shifter effect, can it be used in the same fashion as a Digitech Drop pedal? As in, can I do a half-step or full-step de-tune so that I don't need to switch guitars when I'm tuned standard and play Van Halen/GNR (always 1/2 step down) or Motley Crue (Mick Mars tuned to D standard)? I use a Drop pedal for this now, and it works wonderfully, but my bassist wants one and doesn't want to spend the money on the Digitech.

    • @haveguitar
      @haveguitar  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The pitch effect works in halfsteps so that should work, I suppose!

    • @haveguitar
      @haveguitar  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, scratch the previous answer! I was tired and on the mobile, so I thought your comment was on a video for the pitch shift effect in the Kemper... it did seem a bit odd as the Kemper isn't a cheap unit! :D Anyways, I do not believe this pedal is even close to the Digitech pedal.

  • @clanwaddell5628
    @clanwaddell5628 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I'm with you. Tremolo, chorus are probably the most useful for me. I hate the flanger more than the phaser. And I need to mess with the pitch shifter more. I have a distortion/amp simulator from behringer that I love. Also have an analogue delay, that's awesome as well. I figure for 40 bucks this one does the job. And the battery is under the top where you stomp on and off. The top pops off and then you pop it back on

    • @haveguitar
      @haveguitar  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Good demo. The price turns some off but you coaxed some quacky somewhat usable effects. The first part with the flanger on clean sounded cool. Really WET. dive in yo.

    • @haveguitar
      @haveguitar  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, Mark! Its not that bad considering the price, if one would want better stuff the price will go up!

    You can get a single delay slapback by using Out-B. I believe using both A and B will give a stereo delay effect: clean, then A, then B.

      @@haveguitar no problem, is a good video and with this kind of pedal for this price, people want to know what's going on. I just bought the behringer ultra octaver but it seems like this thing's pitch shifter tracks waaaay better and can do more than just an octave down (but not two octaves down). On top of that you get all the other effects to experiment with, and for the same price. Guess I'll be getting this too... Could you tell me what happens if you use both a and b out with the pitch shifter? Is it the same thing twice or does it separate the wet and dry?

    As a few posters have said, the battery is accessed quickly by pressing in the black button in the side of the foot pad and pulling it off... Phaser is non-existent, delay ok, tremolo ok, chorus and flanger so-so. Pitch shifter not really my cup of tea but bold effect. I just picked up a 2nd hand one for £10 so good fun for next to no money

    • @haveguitar
      @haveguitar  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For 10 quids it's def worth it, I agree. There are much better multi-FX out there but also do have a completely different price tag...

    • @1956Jambo
      @1956Jambo 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes - I bought it as I wanted a cheap tremolo and for that alone it is well worth it - for me it’s the best effect in the unit and sounds good and the controls allow for a variety of speeds and depths - the other effects for are a free bonus! The delay is pretty decent too...

  • @rafafontanez6961
    @rafafontanez6961 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Do you know that you don't have to unscrew the back to access the battery like you just stated on the video. the access to the battery for those pedals is from the foot switch like the boss pedals.that will take you les than 10 seconds to figure out.
