    I do think it is for the newbie like me wanting to explore sounds without spending a fortune. I bought an old Peavey Vypyr 15w for the same reason. The amp was cheap, about 35 british pounds, and I have a lot of different amp models, which kind of combines both pedals. Great stuff, John!

    Great video John , I know I appreciated it. I have this pedal but haven’t used it yet so this was great. Thanks again and cheers from 🇨🇦

    Cool Demo/Review Thankyou. I have a Behringer FX100 not sure what extra features FX600 has but I find this Pedal useful to fit on my 8 Behringer Pedal Board. It allows me to have the extra Effects if/.when needed, as the board is full of Tuner, Comp, Boost, Drive, Distortion, Delay. I use the tremolo on the FX100 more than anything and that has surprised me. Cheers

    I rarely use these particular effects with each other, usually I use OD + boost into one of them. That said, I have 6 slots on my board, including a tuner, and this sounds decent enough to free up to real estate on my board

    What's it for? After working more than one of the various effects into my set list, it's for selling me another of the same pedal, maybe even a third one, as you cannot beat the price point. Lord, if I had to buy A $200+ pedal for every cover song that needed an odd effect for 4 minutes. $25, and it is close enough. I find there is a tiny ratio of tech concerned folks in any given crowd compared to average listeners who simply enjoy a song they are familiar with. When my set changes, and I need a different odd effect, there it is. It is a niche item for the very broke. Thank you for the review. Good video.

    Thanks John for your review.I am really unknowable about pedals efx and so forth.My son who is a little more technology savvy talked me in to the Boss GT-1 which for my use is more than I need or I should say more than I have time to really comprehend and use what this technology has to offer.I have a couple Berhringer pedals ie.Tube Amp Modeler, graphic equalizer and for the $25.00 I spent is ok, but no more until I gain more knowledge.I remember an interview with Kieth Richards where he was asked about his pedals and effex etc.His reply was so sensible that it keeps me out if that "rabbit hole" of over buying pedals.His reply was "you have to think of pedals and effects as, is it a tool or a toy?"Do you need it or want it and never use it.Telling by his playing style over the years and his sound I believe he keeps it to the bare minimum.My $.02 Thanks for your hard work and effort you put into your channel.I do hope your health situation is well and good.I am in the same club, had the robotic 2.5 years ago and doing well myself considering the inconvenient situation is worth waking up everyday!

    Nice review thanks John .
    Good idea; the backup for pedal board.
    Or maybe as a loaner to mates you jam with?
    The tube modaler seemed to do very well in this review.
    I love really Budget Friendly Stuff. Kind of a passion.
    Which quite possibly may be turning into some sort of an affliction. Lol.

    At ~$25, get 2 for effect stacking.

    Great, I'm ordering both immediately. I heard no noise, and, like you, I want a good chorus and a good tremolo. Pitch shifter for bass lines should be cool.

  • @MrJbangoy
    @MrJbangoy ปีที่แล้ว +1

    For me I don't need flanger or chorus all that often, or a pitch shifter, but I do occasionally want one of them so this does fill a gap for cheap enough

  • @davelewis4215

    I’ve got both of those pedals but haven’t used them for ages.👍

    the usefulness for me is based on the fact that I have a great reverb/delay pedal and a Steel string pedal for my basic sounds. Getting into country, tremolo and chorus will be perfect.

    Hi John
    I am with you on this I would not know what it is for either, I have all those effects on my amp, but I can only use one at a time so still need the odd pedal.

    Can you turn off the dry signal on the pitch shifter?

    Has it a stereo ping pong delay?

    As you say not the weapon of choice, but like your vid about plywood starter guitars times have moved on and for a bedroom budding guitarist It makes sense.

    For me in a cover band I might only need a flange once in a set so it’s a pain covering every pedal - I do have a flange pedal but if I need a flange once and a delay once this might solve it

    for the same price, you can pick up a used old Zoom multi fx and if (unlike me) you can work out to use it, you can sound like dave gilmour

      Have you seen Direct Guitar Recording channel Frank?
      th-cam.com/video/BoHApKzrFL0/w-d-xo.html
      Gilmour to your heart's content. I play a lot (hacking) with the Zoom on my channel.

      @@stephenhookings1985 have now, but beyond my old brain stephen, can't do anything techy - I'm a tele into a valve amp kinda guy

    • @stephenhookings1985
      @stephenhookings1985 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@frankcarter6427 I made a video on my cheap Tele in valve amp. I didn't realize how versatile the Tele is. £139 for mine. My passion is finding cheap guitars and setting them up to play like expensive ones - without inflating cost too much. The HB ST20 with £249 EMG DG20 nails Gilmour Pulse tone. Even the stock guitar with the Zoom can get close. But the DG20s into hi gain - sublime. If only I could play like John it would be perfect. But plenty of fun for me at reasonable cost.
      What I did with the Zoom was build on what Mungewell did (extract and load the FX) to allow GUI on a Raspberry Pi4 since they were cheap (until bogus chip shortage excuse) and touch screen - so I don't have to bend over at my age :-)
      I use the G5n but added majority of the bass FX and some acoustic Sims - I use it with my basses. I used the B1XFour if I need battery powered FX.
      Direct Recording has kindly published demos of a range of tones. These Zooms, for the price, are pretty good. I just allow people to make them a bit more customized.

    All i would li.ke to know is how to get a bass guitar sound from my standard guitar, using the octave thingy to drop an octave sounds out of tune and lags

  • @azog23
    @azog23 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    What if you got two of them. Then you could have two different effects with different settings that can be easily swapped by twiddling a couple of switches.

    • @JRobsonGuitar

      Cheap enough to do that, I suppose 👍

    You culled out a decent slapback delay from that. I was going to give up on it.

    I used to have this but sold it pretty quick. I also got rid of the Tube Amp Modeller, it had no clean sounds at all!

    Меня очень заинтересовала эта педаль, подскажите кто-нибудь, пригодна ли она для выступлений на небольших площадках, рассчитанных на 200- 250 человек? Если у кого-то был опыт использования - расскажите пожалуйста...

    I bought one a while back...it was dirt-cheap, used, but in as-new condition.
    Can't say I was hugely impressed tbh.
    In fact, it's sitting unloved in its box right now because I find the effects on my Line 6 Flexmaster amp so much better.
    Also...the batteries go flat in about 3 minutes.

      In my opinion a power supply is a must for pedals as you say batteries are useless
