    Why not rehousing this 🤔 Or use a switcher and you don't care the plastic anymore.

      Hey buddy! You know what that's a fantastic idea! Yes! What would be hilarious is if then you resell it as a boutique pedal to see if people would be able to spot it! Lol .... somehow I think many tone "snobs" would fall for it 😂😜 cheers mate

      I saw someone did make a rack module out of one of these with extra effects that are on the chip but not on the pedal. I think just extra reverbs and delays

    Loved your sincere review. I use Behringer gear for many years and mainly with synths, and these cheap pedals are a must in my studio. I really don't care what other people say about the brand. They do affordable working equipment and that's great. And yes... You can't expect that the cheapest thing to have better construction quality than more expensive one, but all that matters in the end is how actually sounds.

      Thanks my friend! Appreciate your comment! I just think we all need to be grateful that for a affordable price we can get gear that actually sounds decent. In the guitar we world I get the impression that everyone is a bit too concerned with the name etc and not actually with the product! These are all in my studio and I would be ready to bet most people wouldn't be able to hear the difference with a Pedal three times the price ! Gotta be realistic! Everything has a price but it all depends on your priorities and possibilities! Cheers

    To change the battery, you need to push in the black side pins of the stomp switch, so that you can remove the cover. The battery housing is right under. Though I'd go plug it AC.

      @@SoulStringChannel tbh, I'm just a roomy, just-for-fun incidental player, so not very demanding on this. I was actually looking for a pitch shifter back in the day, and came across this. Great for the money, more effects than I thought of... a no-brainer. Actually I only use chorus or delay if not ps-ing. Good to avoid the hassle of re-tuning my Jackson Kelly JS with floating trem. Though sometimes the pitch sounds rather odd to me, not quite on the spot. Overall, it does the job for me anyway.

      Just stumbled over this review. Good comprehensive video and, as an owner of many Behringer pedals, I concur with your appraisal on all counts, bar the battery comments.
      As previously pointed out, the battery is housed under the stomp plate and is accessed simply by pressing in both of the hinge pins and removing the plate. Just be sure you don't lose the return spring under the plate. It should remain in place, but I've encountered the odd one that falls out if you're not careful, or paying attention. My only gripe about the system is that the process can be a bit fiddly, but once you've mastered the technique, it's a walk in the park.
      Yes, the casing is plastic, ergo, it follows that it must be cheap and liable to break... I have to say I've never encountered any hint of an issue but I suppose if your jumping around the stage like an idiot and high on adrenalin then it's a possibility. I guess it's down to treating your gear with respect.
      Personally, I have lost count of how many Behringer pedals I own. Generally I find that they tend to mimic the Boss range, but at a fraction of the price. So I guess they are the the equivalent of Squier to Fender or Epiphone to Gibson in that respect. I own many other more expensive pedals, but they are my 'go to' if I just want to 'dip my toe in the water' to try an effect out.
      Another aspect of the range which I invested in and find a positive boon, is their dedicated pedal board/case which comes with its own built in PSU and cabling. Again, much like the Boss equivalent, you just arrange your pedals in the precut compartments, plug them in and go. As all the pedals have the same footprint, you can then swap them in and out to your heart's content. Sorted!

    I had my 2nd one if these since 2018. My first one i sold after a vpuld of years. I never had the structural issues youre worried abiut happening. From 18 to 20/21 i had this on a live board for guitar. During the panny i started using it with the electronic hardware to make music by myself and it being stereo really worked with my grooveboxes and drum machines. Even playing guitar in public ive had no issues. Its 2024 now. People are constantly worried about breaking these things and i have had quite a few behringer pedals and never had one break or just stop. The plastic for what it is is fairly sturdy. Is it the same quality as my bosses, jhs, wampler, or boutique pedals i had made for me? Nah. Not close. But i dont imagine anyone would have the issues you seem to be worried about tbh.
    As far as how it sounds... it does each effect good enough. The only ones i find particularly good is the delay which does the digital clean delay spund pretty nicely. The chorus isnt bad. The phasers is meh. The flanger is all sorts of "wt actual f", if you dont have a pitch shifter and want to experiment the pitch shift will get you by (my first pedal that did this and it inspired me to get a better one). Id say this is an ideal pedal for experimenting with effects or if you have a travel board. Also if your a stereo synth/groovebox/sampler/ drum machine dude this is also nice to figure things out. Id say about 60 percent of the sounds are pretty pleasant tbh. I had this on a small "studio" board of like five pedals for a bit and would even occasionally use them on vocals. This is actually one of my favorite behringer pedals due to what it can do and how you can use it.

    Nice review, a lot of people that use these for rehearsals or gigging just rehouse them in Metal Cases but it must also be said some people use these on boards and have never broke, so could be the size of your boots ;)

      Thanks buddy! Wow that's a fantastic idea tbh didn't think of that at all! Might be worth a try! Honestly for the money it's decent, I don't think it's any more fragile because of the plastic it just feels really cheap so in reality it might just be our perception of it !

    Fantastic review! Just bought it and loving it- I need pitch and vibrato in some parts in some songs, not going to specks 3x more for each separate effect, it’s a great deal for the money. Plastic doesn’t bother me at all, I’m not sure how agressieve someone have to stomp on pedal to break it 😮

      Cheers buddy! It really is incredible how good it sounds for so little money! I'm with you on the plastic, haven't had any issues yet and you know what even if it did break I would just buy another one 😂 cheers

    I would disagree that they are "cheap plastic". Yes, not as robust as a metal housing but you can step on these things all day and never break it. You damn near need a hammer to break the things. And I have had many of these over the years.

    No distortion means kinda useless to me. Also used to my multipedal having headphone out an many presets so I can find 4-6 I like an switch thru preferred distortion tones with a few button presses easy. Really I'm looking at their stuff cause I never find a mutilpedal with noise reduction so I'm buying theirs.
    Do they or anyone make a digital to compete with the line 6 pod /zoom type multi pedals that's low cost?

      Hey buddy! Thanks for the comment! Yeah I get what you are saying! Have you looked at the Hotone stuff! Have a look at their website! They have tones of cool DIST boxes that tick all the boxes! If you want a multi effects also the Ampero series if outstanding and doesn't cost a lot

    I'm doing "Just" by Radiohead with my band. Is the pitch shifter good enough to do that for a live performance?

      @SoulStringChannel  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey buddy! Wow that's an awesome tune! I think you will be ok in a live scenario! I possibly wouldn't recommend it for a pro recording as the quality might not be the best you can get but live it will do the job ! Let me know if you do it and how it goes! Cheers buddy

    I use it after my metal distortion in the chain. When I switch it on, delay is good. But when I switch to phaser or flanger, it decreases the volume quite a lot, even with the first knob at max.
    I bought it too colour my solos with phaser, but it cuts so much volume on the distortion. Why is that so?

    • @SoulStringChannel
      @SoulStringChannel  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey buddy! Thanks for the comment! Just so I'm clear are you using the phaser and flanger before the preamp or after ? It's weird cause I haven't really had that issue! Let me know cause I wanna try it out on my unit! Cheers buddy

      Currently building a stereo rig with a couple joyo amp in a box pedals into a Harley Benton thunder 99 and realizing I only have 2 pedals that do any stereo effects. I've had great results from my other Beringer stuff in the past and think I'm going to give this a go if only for the delay.

  •  ปีที่แล้ว

    So you cannot use 2 effects at the same time?

    • @SoulStringChannel
      @SoulStringChannel  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey buddy! Yes that's really right! One effect at the time unfortunately....they are honestly good sounding effects, but if you need multiple at once live it may not be appropriate... although for that price you could get more than one pedal!
