Man, I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets choked up when a big crowd releases that kind of energy. Sports, concerts, whatever -- that massive release of energy when a crowd goes nuts makes me cry every time. I don't know why.

I met Dave, Kurt and Krist on their first time they toured England. I was busting my ass with my own band. We were all American and our sound was very influenced but what was going on I England so I felt like k was living the dream. We played with incredible bands. But meeting Nirvana was fantastic. I played bass and sang but found myself talking to Dave for about 20 minutes. A true gentleman and massive fan of music. We just talked about the bands we love. No gear talk, just chilling. Kurt was nice but he was kinda a loner and just wanted to relax after the show. Krist was an absolute comedian. Three total different personalities. A day I’ll never forget!

The earth has been around for over 4.5 billion years and somehow I get to live in a time where I can share the same air as Dave Grohl. I want to just sit and have a beer with Dave, he seems so fuckin cool man. Its incredible that he has had such an amazing career while also being the dude thats like " oh i don't know how to play, i just do shit and it works sometimes" He's truly an icon for a whole generation of music lovers.

Been watching your videos since you only had a couple hundred subscribers and just love the way you keep breaking these things down. What a gift! It’s like a rose that just grows itself with a song like this but when you take it apart petal by petal and put them back together adding the dewdrops with an understanding of the structure of the whole thing it smells even better at the end with that extra dimension. Keep on with the good work!

I spent my teens and twenties missing iconic shows by amazing bands, but I am so thankful that I made it to this Wembley show (I think there were actually 2 nights). I’d only just got into Foo Fighters in the previous year or too and had no sense of how popular they were in the UK. The energy and the connection between Dave/the band and the crowd was like nothing I’d ever experienced before. And at points it was a little bit scary - I was in my late 30’s at the time and the crowd was younger cooler and, close to the front, a lot tougher - so I spent most of f the show in the seats rather than the ‘mosh pit’, but just extraordinary. Can’t wait for live music again

one thing I found super interesting is how grohl's described his chord playing as being like he's drumming them, with the low E as the bass kick and the other strings as melody laid over the top of it in whatever stroke motion he's doing

    Lyrics :
    Hello
    I've waited here for you
    Everlong
    Tonight, I throw myself into
    And out of the red
Out of her head, she sang
Come down and waste away with me
    Down with me
Slow, how you wanted it to be
    I'm over my head
Out of her head, she sang
    And I wonder
When I sing along with you
If everything could ever be this real forever
If anything could ever be this good again
The only thing I'll ever ask of you
You've got to promise not to stop when I say when
    She sang
    Breathe out
So I can breathe you in
    Hold you in
    And now
    I know you've always been
    Out of your head
Out of my head, I sang
    And I wonder
When I sing along with you
If everything could ever feel this real forever
If anything could ever be this…

Also, I studied audio engineering (with my heart into it), and thus have taken multiple music theory, piano, guitar and other related classes, and can read music, and, for example, understand what inversions are. After that, it gets a bit hazy... I wish I had gone to the guitar institute, instead.

I really tried to go out of my way and dislike Foos/Grohl some time ago, but I failed miserably and have been of the opinion that Dave Grohl may have single handedly saved "rock" from an untimely demise. And when he stood in the middle of Wembley after the first chorus...I felt that.

I’m a touring drummer and very frustrated guitar player. But for some reason Foo Fighters songs are easier for me to play. I can see how Dave’s approach to writing riffs comes from a drummer’s perspective. Lot’s of 1/8th notes and it’s like he’s playing kick, snare and hat with a riff.
