Mastiff's are gorgeous, gentle giants! Big Paws is actually a kangal, they're really common out here as sheep dogs, and despite the size, are soft and cuddly. She was such a sweetheart 💛🐶

The clearest River water you have ever seen with lots of pools! And if you want heaven on earth..... Contact me! It's between Lefkada and AG. Nikolaus and it's perfect for camping. You may have already tried it but the boxed wines to be found all over Europe are usually great. Don't go for the cheapest; look for the next price levels. Apart from two particular German wines this was our go-to wine. Loved the episode - so much variety. I was expecting you to adopt Big Paws. Common sense says no.

Yeah she was definitely a stray. There were a couple of other dogs too that she was with, so we were happy that she wasn't completely on her own. She was such a gentle giant too, so soft with River 🐶 💕

Just binged watched Squid Game. Wacky and weird but just like Pringles…….once you pop you just cant stop. Very addictive watching. ALSO……..highly recommend watching the ‘OATS Studio’ on Netflix too. A little like the shorts of ‘Black Mirror’ and well worth the short binge. Perhaps leave the location of Big Paws so that others can leave food too.
Hahah that's a great way to describe Squid Game 😆 Will give OATS Studio a go, although Black Mirror has low key traumatised me for life. I don't think Big Paws is fed by tourists - most of the Greek strays are looked after by the locals, especially in areas like this where it's a little quieter. She was in a pack, wasn't starving and seemed happy, which is the best we can hope for 💛

Hi Guys, just made it! I feel I’ve done my exercise today with making my bed frame! Nice little jog along the riverside.. aw, that’s really nice feeding big paws.. 👌. The drone footage over paddle boarding is stunning! What a view of the water! River v ET - definitely river wins!! Lidl! I love going in stores that you can recognise from home! A nice cup of tea! Brilliant!! Crisps and a film too, won’t be long and I’ll be doing the same! And yes I’m watching the Squid game, I’m on episode 2! You’ve done amazing with river to have her drop on command. Fantastic, you’re doing what my wife and I dream about. We normally holiday in Greece, but 2 years ago we hired a motor home and went to Scotland, and the Hebrides. We both enjoyed it. Maybe one day we will be able to hire or buy a motor home and follow in your footsteps?? With our Nellie , ( six month old Border collie) Happy travels, Regards Andy.
Oh 100% you should buy a motorhome and head into the sunset! We couldn't recommend Greece enough for van life too. It's so easy and laid back, there are bins and free water points everywhere. And such beautiful beaches, mountains and natural beauty to immerse yourself in. Nellie would love it too I'm sure 🐶 Hope you guys make it out here one day 💛

Hey Bob, interesting question! Usually it can be a challenge finding fresh water but Greece has been so easy for that, there are natural springs everywhere. Routine can be difficult to keep and is one thing I miss - most days are different and it can be hard to stick to even a simple structure in the mornings when you either need to get driving to a new place, find food, water, LPG to fill up on... etc. Good question, it got us thinking 😊

Ah I know, it's so hard isn't it! There are so many strays here in Greece. Thankfully the locals feed them and Big Paws had a few other dogs she was in a pack with, so I think she was happy there by the beach. And yes, we absolutely love the bed layout. Having the sofa area is one of our favourite things about the new design and we've got making the bed down to a fine art 😃

Squid games was really good, but loads of British kids are playing the games back here in UK 😂 and it's got so violent schools are telling parents to not let kids watch it😂 So glad rivers making friends!

I know it's such a pain trying to navigate the new rules! Yes, we'll be heading to Turkey once our 90 days is up. Although we're giving ourselves a 2 week buffer if we need to come back through the EU for an emergency 👍
Couldn't sleep the other night and I was listening to Paul Ross on Talksport. He interviewed a British/South African guy called Stephen McGowan. Stephen's written a book called Six Years a Hostage. He was travelling back to SA from Britain on a motorbike and was captured by Islamic Militants in Timbuktu. Funnily enough, it's a place I've always thought about going on my motorbike. Anyhow, Stephen's experience has dissuaded me and I wanted to say that even if the western Trans-Africa route does open up I think you should swerve it: just too bloody dangerous. Paul said the book is brilliant so you might want to give it a go. Re: dogs & sticks. Has the PC lobby got something against this now? Christ, my dogs have chewed down forests. My sister's border terrier can't think about anything else. No problems to report so far!
Ah we've heard about that book! Honestly, I wouldn't let someone else's experience alone put me off from going somewhere. Saying that, there's no way we'd drive to Mali! It's dangerous. The Western route in general is the most complicated and due to border closures with Morocco it's not possible to drive the whole route without shipping somewhere along the way. It wouldn't be our first route choice and to be honest, not something we're looking at. Oh and the stick thing!! We get told off on Instagram every time we show River with a stick in her mouth. Apparently they splinter and can cause dogs to choke. I've had dogs my entire life, eating sticks, and it's never been a problem. But River does eat them and they make her constipated so that's why we don't let her eat them 😂

Yeah she was definitely a stray. There were a couple of other dogs too that she was with, so we were happy that she wasn't completely on her own. She was such a gentle giant too, so soft with River 🐶 💕

Just binged watched Squid Game. Wacky and weird but just like Pringles…….once you pop you just cant stop. Very addictive watching. ALSO……..highly recommend watching the ‘OATS Studio’ on Netflix too. A little like the shorts of ‘Black Mirror’ and well worth the short binge. Perhaps leave the location of Big Paws so that others can leave food too.
Hahah that's a great way to describe Squid Game 😆 Will give OATS Studio a go, although Black Mirror has low key traumatised me for life. I don't think Big Paws is fed by tourists - most of the Greek strays are looked after by the locals, especially in areas like this where it's a little quieter. She was in a pack, wasn't starving and seemed happy, which is the best we can hope for 💛

Hi Guys, just made it! I feel I’ve done my exercise today with making my bed frame! Nice little jog along the riverside.. aw, that’s really nice feeding big paws.. 👌. The drone footage over paddle boarding is stunning! What a view of the water! River v ET - definitely river wins!! Lidl! I love going in stores that you can recognise from home! A nice cup of tea! Brilliant!! Crisps and a film too, won’t be long and I’ll be doing the same! And yes I’m watching the Squid game, I’m on episode 2! You’ve done amazing with river to have her drop on command. And dinner looks amazing pasta and burgers!! .. that weather sounded awlful.. thanks and see you next week! 👌🌧🏖☀️

Fantastic, you’re doing what my wife and I dream about. We normally holiday in Greece, but 2 years ago we hired a motor home and went to Scotland, and the Hebrides. We both enjoyed it. Maybe one day we will be able to hire or buy a motor home and follow in your footsteps?? With our Nellie , ( six month old Border collie) Happy travels, Regards Andy.
Oh 100% you should buy a motorhome and head into the sunset! We couldn't recommend Greece enough for van life too. It's so easy and laid back, there are bins and free water points everywhere. And such beautiful beaches, mountains and natural beauty to immerse yourself in. Nellie would love it too I'm sure 🐶 Hope you guys make it out here one day 💛

I have to be honest that beautiful dog would be coming home with me.
She was such a sweetheart 💔 Thankfully the strays are fed by locals and there were a few other dogs she was clearly in a small pack with. Wish we could take them all home!
Just watching now... we LOVED Eviva peach juice too! If you're feeling diabolical, try it with some chilled white wine or Prosecco (⅓ peach : ⅔ wine/pros.). 👍🏻😊

Hey Bob, interesting question! Usually it can be a challenge finding fresh water but Greece has been so easy for that, there are natural springs everywhere. Routine can be difficult to keep and is one thing I miss - most days are different and it can be hard to stick to even a simple structure in the mornings when you either need to get driving to a new place, find food, water, LPG to fill up on... etc. Good question, it got us thinking 😊

Ah I know, it's so hard isn't it! There are so many strays here in Greece. Thankfully the locals feed them and Big Paws had a few other dogs she was in a pack with, so I think she was happy there by the beach. And yes, we absolutely love the bed layout. Having the sofa area is one of our favourite things about the new design and we've got making the bed down to a fine art 😃

How are you managing the damn Schengen changes. I'm trying to plan for 2 trips in 2022, very confusing even with a Schengen calculator. I assume you'll be at the 90 days max when you reach non-Schengen Turkey? Enjoying your trip.
I know it's such a pain trying to navigate the new rules! Yes, we'll be heading to Turkey once our 90 days is up. Although we're giving ourselves a 2 week buffer if we need to come back through the EU for an emergency 👍

Couldn't sleep the other night and I was listening to Paul Ross on Talksport. He interviewed a British/South African guy called Stephen McGowan. Stephen's written a book called Six Years a Hostage. He was travelling back to SA from Britain on a motorbike and was captured by Islamic Militants in Timbuktu. Funnily enough, it's a place I've always thought about going on my motorbike. Anyhow, Stephen's experience has dissuaded me and I wanted to say that even if the western Trans-Africa route does open up I think you should swerve it: just too bloody dangerous. Paul said the book is brilliant so you might want to give it a go. Re: dogs & sticks. Has the PC lobby got something against this now? Christ, my dogs have chewed down forests. My sister's border terrier can't think about anything else. No problems to report so far!
Ah we've heard about that book! Honestly, I wouldn't let someone else's experience alone put me off from going somewhere. Saying that, there's no way we'd drive to Mali! It's dangerous. The Western route in general is the most complicated and due to border closures with Morocco it's not possible to drive the whole route without shipping somewhere along the way. It wouldn't be our first route choice and to be honest, not something we're looking at. Oh and the stick thing!! We get told off on Instagram every time we show River with a stick in her mouth. Apparently they splinter and can cause dogs to choke. I've had dogs my entire life, eating sticks, and it's never been a problem. But River does eat them and they make her constipated so that's why we don't let her eat them 😂
