    We hope you like him just as much as we do! Apologies in advance for the wind - classic South Australia ;)

    Sensational upgrade of Vance. You certainly gave this ‘new’ conversion a lot of thought and planning and it has really paid off.
    From the extra space you have created to the quality of the ‘modern’ look build, you have done a fabulous job!
    Loved also the explanations of WHY you made certain changes and then the benefits the changes have made for you!
    Well done.....love it!!!

    Defenitely the best mini van layout i have ever found on youtube not only easthetically pleasing but very functional 💕 you've outdone micro camper, and maybe if i would have a tiny van i would love to incorporate most of your design and layout and add some family camper touch ups hoping to fit at least 3 human in a tiny van 😄, coz tiny campervan are the best its easy to park anytime anywhere specially when your doing stealth camping i guess 💕

    Hey quick question - when it rains - do you keep the pop-top roof up or do you keep it down? - I am getting a 1985 pop-top Hiace - was just concerned about mould or leaks etc - Like the idea of being able to keep the roof up and not getting to squishy - thanks for your time

    • @KendallandGlenn
      @KendallandGlenn  3 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      We leave it up! It's basically the same canvas as a swag so it's waterproof. Obviously some things like wear and tear can lead to leaks but that's just up to luck :)

    Slick fitout team ,you might want to look into having your gas bottle in a sealed enclosure vented to the out side lpg gas is heavier that air and if you have a leak it fills the lower van and any spark or electrical fuse going it will put you into orbit also insurance won’t touch you, have a van mob look at it and get a gas certificate,not trying to bum you out but shit happens and it’s not pretty.keep up the great vids cheers🌊🌊

    • @KendallandGlenn
      @KendallandGlenn  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks so much Darren. Yeah it’s definitely been a point of research for us and very much appreciate your concern. We have safety seals and dials for the gas cylinder, plus completely shut off and disconnect if not in use. Plus we use a tiny cylinder and just can’t rationalise cutting a giant hole in the side of Vance and fitting a whole gas set up in it. Really appreciate your comment but for the time being we are going to stick with what we’ve got. Definitely food for thought though! Thanks so much 😊

    I love the roll-out kitchen but I can't imagine not being able to stand in front of the sink. I'd imagine dishes would cause a back ache.

      Thanks Liz! But with the pop top up we can still stand while using the sink. Its a little bit awkward but best option for the layout we think :)

    That's a very nice setup-I've been looking to get a T3 for road trips and curious which engine you have and how reliable it's been?

    • @KendallandGlenn
      @KendallandGlenn  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks a lot! It is an air cooled t3. It's been pretty reliable, but as with any 40 year old car that gets used to travel the country, there are always going to be issues along the way.

    Hi there! Great van! Love the smart kitchen space. We just bought a t3 van and are rebuilding the inside coming months. I was wandering what kind of wood you guys used for the kitchen. And how thick it is? Thank you in advance for the response!

    • @KendallandGlenn
      @KendallandGlenn  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Erwin, and how exciting! For the kitchen it was a combination of 18mm ply and 12mm ply. The 18mm ply was to ensure the draw slides have a decent amount of timber to screw into. Hope that helps :)

    Heyyy I wondered what you do with keeping a bin/trash? Struggling with what to do for the best with this! Xxx

    • @KendallandGlenn
      @KendallandGlenn  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great questions. We basically use anything that can be used as a bag that we already have from food shopping to then throw out with it. e.g Bag from tortilla's. Ideally we'd love to not have any plastic waste but it's hard with items like that so we generally just use things and find bins along the way.

    • @Katyob7
      @Katyob7 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@KendallandGlenn ah awesome thanks for replying! So I guess you are more conscious about what to buy that has less packaging etc. So you don't build up too much rubbish, and don't have an actual trash can in the van or anything? I'm so nervous about going a bit further away where maybe there aren't any bins for a while and we just have this gross build up of waste 😂 we are a few months away from setting off on our trip and have only done short weekend practice runs so far haha xxx

    • @KendallandGlenn
      @KendallandGlenn  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Katyob7 Yeah, we'll try and limit it but there will always be rubbish. We've got some trash bags for circumstances like the one you are talking about but honestly haven't really had to use them too often :)

    • @KendallandGlenn
      @KendallandGlenn  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Our fresh water tank is on the right side of the vehicle underneath the body and the grey water just runs out of the sink to outside. Our fresh water tank holds 50L and does the job nicely!
