@MillGapFarms works like a charm now! The longest part of the job was spending an hour trying to get the bolts out, just to realize I was turning them the wrong way, haha! It's all in the details sometimes! 😂🤦♂️
So true!!! I've done our so many times there are only 2 bolts that hold the pump on. And I'm sure in a few more pumps those will be gone too... then it will be really a quick repair!!! Hahahaha. Thanks for watching. And sharing your experience. Hope to see you in more comments, other than washer repairs... Kevin
Thank you, I just fixed mine using the from-the-bottom method. I ordered the pump that you linked to, but it was a slightly different size and necessitated trimming an edge of the pump housing to get it to fit. Otherwise, works fine.
Glad you were able to get it fixed. I think a few times ago, I had to do the same thing. On the cover maybe. I can't remember. I am glad it worked out well. Thanks for watching and leaving your comment. I means a lot to me! Kevin
Thank you so much for this video!! This was the first time we tried to replace the water pump and doing it from the bottom worked perfectly and I believe was way easier than taking the entire front off. As a previous commenter wrote, the one bolt in the top corner is very hard to reach but once you get it it is worth it. We recommend a magnetic extended ratchet if you can find one or if not when reinstalling we put putty in the ratchet to keep bolt in until getting back into the hole. In all this is an easy fix that saved us lots of money. Thank you!
Thank you for your comment. It means a lot to us. I am glad to share this and other happenings on our farm. I've done this repair so many times, I've truly lost count. By far, this is the easiest method outside of calling a repairman...which don't exist out here. I like the idea of putty and the magnetic drive. That will definitely help! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
It went out and when I called to see when the repairman was available, it was 2 weeks away! We are a family of 8 and always have laundry to do so I watched your video and got it done myself! My husband will be excited we saved a repair bill!
That is awesome! You made my day with your comment! I'm glad this worked for you! Thanks for watching our video and taking the time to share your thoughts! Kevin
I’m a do it myself type person. Living on a farm myself we don’t always have time to wait for someone to come so far out ,so we were taught to try till we get it. People like you who upload simple easy directions are such a lifesaver in times like these!!!!!
I have to say some of our videos are a selfish way for me to remember how to do it... I am grateful when we hear back from kind folks like yourself that recognize them as being helpful... what did we do before TH-cam? Thanks Kevin
Thank you for the info, it just saved me a repair tech visit! That one bolt in the far corner by the foot is a bugger to get out blind, but was able to manage it with an extension and patience. I will say that the replacement pump from your link had a slightly different width and an extra groove or two from the original that made the cover a little difficult to get back onto the new pump. A little careful bending got it in there. If I have to do it again, I'll probably make a few strategic cuts in the cover to reduce the stress on it.
I forgot about that Sirdesktop. I think somewhere in my past replacement I must have made a cut or two in order to make the new one fit. Thanks for pointing that out. Also thanks for watching and sharing your success! Kevin
If you have any problems go to our website www.millgapfarms.com and send us an email. I'll help any way I can. Thanks for watching our video and using our link. That really helps to support our farm and the channel. Kevin
We have really been enjoying watching your videos! My family and I would love to move to the area with a dream of having a cattle farm. Right around Bluegrass is the most beautiful place Ive ever been and I’ve been to Alaska and Maine haha. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for watching our videos Mr. Taylor and taking the time to share your thoughts. We are glad you enjoy them. We have been blessed beyond measure! I agree, the blue grass valley is one of the most beautiful places in the world and I am grateful for being able to raise our family here! Hope to see you in the comments more. Kevin
Try this link. If it doesn’t work let me know. I’ll get one tomorrow. Pliers - amzn.to/3N6Hl2R I have found an easier way to replace the pump. I did it from the bottom. Much faster. We have a video on it. But I can’t add to this reply without losing this info. I can find it in the am when I get to my pc if you need it. Thanks kevin.
If they have it, let me know. Sometimes its easier to go there. Here is the link to the video where I changed the pump from the bottom. I did not need the pliers. It was much faster. The only challenge will be locating the screws on the base plate. To me its easier than removing the front. th-cam.com/video/EFnyEKGAAd4/w-d-xo.html Kevin
I was looking at this model that's for sale locally on facebook used. they said it's in good condition. should i pass? you've had this same problem multiple times? i've had my maytag neptune set for probably 20yrs and the dryer is finally starting to struggle when starting up.
I am so sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I would get another one in a minute. They are easy to fix. We've talked about putting a washer dryer set in the basement that way we can keep on washing when the pump fails...because they will. We do wash about 4 loads day on average. Thanks for watching. If you have more questions, go to our website... www.millgapfarms.com. Kevin
Thank you too. When I do this again, I will definitely do it from the bottom! Thanks for watching! And taking a minute to post your comment. It means a lot to me! Kevin
I think the hardest part is getting it out from under the counter.... I completely understand it looking like it's a lot to do. I hope your husband get an hour or two in order to get yours fixed. Thanks for you comment! Kevin
Thanks for this tutorial. Just changed mine out tonight. That one blind bolt was a pain but overall not a terrible replacement. Wife is back happy.
Thank you for taking a minute to leave your thoughts! It means a lot! I hope you will visit the channel again. Kevin
Thank you! Simple and easy to follow tutorial, I love your energy!
I hope it helps you get your washer fixed up! It's always great to be able to fix things instead of replacing them, right? Kevin

Yes sir where did you get the pliers that you used to get the spring loaded ring that goes around the rubber gasket
Try this link. If it doesn’t work let me know. I’ll get one tomorrow. Pliers - amzn.to/3N6Hl2R I have found an easier way to replace the pump. I did it from the bottom. Much faster. I'm going to try home Depot tomorrow and northern tools

Good job! What tools are needed to do this work?
A phillips head screw driver, maybe a 10mm socket and that was about it. Thanks for watching. Hope this help you succeed with your washer! Kevin
Nice job thank
Thank you too. When I do this again, I will definitely do it from the bottom! Thanks for watching! And taking a minute to post your comment. It means a lot to me! Kevin

I've done it more than that... sometimes you can't fix stupid! Thanks for watching and leaving your comment. Kevin
