That's called the Ribbon Master challenge. Though then again, the Ribbon Master challenge allows for any pokémon to be a Ribbon Master, the pokémon just needs to have every Ribbon it could possibly have (e.g. only from the gen they were caught in onwards, and they don't need ribbons they're not eligible for). Now the true challenge is: a Master Dex where *every* pokémon is a Ribbon Master and they're all shiny (except for the rare ones that can never be shiny, like the gift tentacool)

I think by the time Toby completes this Living Dex but including all the Shiny Pokemon, our grandchildren will probably have their own grandchildren in that time
its actually not posible to get shiny pokemon from random encounters in gen 1 if im not mistaken, only the starters, other gifts (incl game corner) and static encounters (aka just snorlax and the legends), but if you catch/ breed gen 1 pokemon in gen 2, trade them to gen 1 and then send em over to bank, it will say they are from vc kanto :D (so you would only have to get the legends in gen 1 itself)
The IVs determine shiny in gen one. For ninety percent of the Pokemon its not possible to get all the iv combos and thus most also can't be shiny. Gen two is first game possible via breeding.
IIRC, if you catch the shiny Gyarados in Gen 2, teach it mimic and delete all other moves, send it to Gen 1, encounter a Ditto in the wild and use mimic to learn transform, the Ditto will transform into Gyarados and then use transform again to turn itself into a shiny Ditto. Then you send that shiny ditto back to Gen 2 and breed any Pokemon you want. Since the child inherit some of the parents IVs and IVs are what determines if a Pokemon is shiny or not, it is possible that this will increase your odds significantly. Unless they only get the IVs from the non Ditto parent or a male Pokemon. In which case you can still breed that shiny Gyarados with compatible Pokemon to increase your odds.
I'm currently setting up living dex as what I call the "New Pokedex" where I put Pokemon in order or evolution. Regardless of which region they are from. For example Pichu is currently in position 25 Pikachu got moved up a spot. And then so forth and so forth. Alolan/Galarian variants don't count, so like Cubone is both a Kanto and Alolan pokemon, since he has two different evolutions in two different regions. So currently "New Kanto", as I like to call it has 181 Pokemon in it.
My idea is that to make a national dex as in then have a section for all regional forms/ evos and another section for the different other forms like East and west sea gastrodon etc

This is exactly how I'm making my national living dex. The extra forms can go in the end of the region box or at the end of the dex haven't decided that yet. I also put meltan and melmetal at the end of kanto since they were in the kanto region before any other region (Let's go pikachu and eevee)
oh and enamorus gets put behind landorus since it was an addition to that legendary group same moved all regis into hoenn's dex. keldeo stays where it was in it's dex despite being part of the swords of justice because it was introduced in the same generation and is a mythical not a legendary.
Once you are done with a living dex challenge, would you do a perfect dex challenge? Each Pokemon available in each game being caught? So if you can capture a Magikarp in RGBY, you catch it, but if you can catch it in Johto, you gotta catch it there too... so you'd have one from each game it can be caught. Not just group of games, but the individual games. So one from Ruby, one from Saphire, one from Emerald... A Pokedex with Pokemon from everywhere... the ultimate Pokemon master.... I'll obviously never do it...
@@OffConstantly2u Actually, if you count both all forms and Shinies (and you know Toby would), there actually isn't enough space. Unown alone already covers 24 boxes.
@@toumabyakuya3498To be fair, you can't get all of the Gen 2 Unown to be shiny, only I & V, as well as not being able to get shiny Nidoran, Nidorina, and NidoQueen. So while you won't have room, you'll essentially be skipping all of Gen 2 Shiny Unown.
Man sucks that Spike ear Pichu and AZ’s Floette won’t be apart of that collection again still gonna be waiting for X and Y remakes to hopefully get AZ’s Floette
Did you know that AZ's Floette and its signature move are still in Swosh's code? They've never once been used at all, and have been in the code of every mainline Pokémon game since X and Y.

Congratulations on completing the challenge! I can't believe you've managed this and I've only completed 2 pokedexes in 20 years and that took most of my sanity. You're crazy for pulling this off.
I seriously love you for including all the redundancy with the forms because its just so beautiful to look at also i have been obsessed with this challenge ever since i saw this and im probably about 1/3 of the way through after maybe 2 or 3 weeks
The Pokémon Home Master Dex Challenge is what I’m currently focused on. It’s letting me dive into games I didn’t fully invest in due to personal stuff. I’m also helping some friends get a Basic Living Dex. If I discover my old Japanese Ditto is on an old enough game, my next challenge will be to do a Shiny version of the Pokémon Home Master Dex!
I will! Already am! I’m even being hard on myself and making sure the gender variants are from the appropriate region too! If I can avoid the little shortcuts you mention, I will. 😅
Dude, a lot of respect. I'm a long time fan of the games, I think I might have completed the Pokedex once. I bow down to your dedication. If I could, I'd shake your hand. So much respect man.
I didn't expect this video to come out so soon, but I admire this challenge! I'm still working on it actually, just got to obtain a few Pokemon, and hopefully I'll get to make a video of my own!
I have a living dex and am currently looking at forms but WOW I don't think I can go this far. I'm SO HAPPY I clicked though, I appreciate that huge spreadsheet it fills me with so much joy. Next challenge for you that will span a life time is this one, minus a few details, but the entire living shiny dex hahaha.
As somebody living in the time zone as you, I’m concerned that your still awake! Your lucky that I didn’t wake up because of the alert, and I’m currently typing whilst deep in REM sleep.
@4:17 You're missing a male variant butterfree from gen 1, lad... And before anyone else comments about how gender wasnt in gen 1, when you bring a gen 1 pokemon that isnt gender locked or gender locked into pokemon bank it's their attack IVs that determine what gender it will be assigned.
After your original Master Dex, Toby, I decided to do exactly what you did, and I went even further. I've managed to collect a Living Dex (from their region of origin), Living Shiny Dex (from their region of origin - this was hard!), Alternate Formes, Shiny Alternate Forms, Galar Formes (& Shiny), Alolan Formes (& Shiny), Colosseum, Gale of Darkness, PokeWalker, Ranch, Ranger, Dream Radar, Virtual Console (R, B, Y, G, S, C) and their evolutions, and more. Thank you, Toby. You inspired me to enjoy Pokemon even more!
Well, that must be one of the most mindblowingly time intensive task I've seen completed in Pokemon. Really only rivaled by a full shiny living dex. Sometimes I wish I could go back and start this kind of thing earlier, and naturally arriving at a similar dex. Especially with the (f ing stupid) event giveaway mons, that are just not gonna be available again ever, and can't be caught in any game.
Your spirit is part of what keeps playing Pokémon fun, Toby ☆ Glad to know I've already automatically got myself a good few gold stars with the Vivillon, Munchlax, Manaphy, whatever event Pokémon there are..
Was your Galarian Weezing also originally from Kanto? Either way, this is a god tier achievement. If I were you, I'd take a break after this massive project :P
It's so funny I should come across this video today. I've been working on an eerily similar quest with the same rules for a couple years now. I just finished up RSE and am moving onto DPPt. Great minds think alike
For the Alcremie, I used the Gigantamax event from a while ago, so aside from having all forms, they can all Gigantamax as well... I don't want to collect them again
Most of the way through a complete living dex, M & F of each species including forms and regionals, need to revisit older gens for some forms, and shinies may take a bit, but almost there! Honestly the most annoying one is Kubfu/Urshifu, don’t care that they can breed being legendaries, but the fact that they can be m/f I need one of each,
Way back when diamond and pearl were about to release I played through ruby and sapphire again with my cousin. I was on ruby and she had sapphire. I had caught a tropius and named it "Muffin". We loved Muffin. I carried that thing through the entire game, and traded it to my cousin so she could play with it for a while, and then migrated it over to diamond, and Muffin was a staple on my team as I was trying to complete the pokedex on diamond. Not even joking, Muffin had easily seen 500 hours of screen time, or more. Black and white got announced, and was about to release and I was so excited to transfer Muffin to its 4th different game in its 3rd different region, and... And then another cousin of mine that I despise with every fiber of my being lost my copy of diamond. They got ahold of my DS and took my copy out, and put there's in, and never switched them back. I searched high and low for that game for YEARS. Never found it. That's the ultimate pokemon challenge in my eyes. Finding Muffin.
7:45 funnily enough, on my first encounter with Raikou in Crystal, I threw a regular pokeball at it for laughs... and it actually caught it! Also, I’m really hoping that they make regional variants for Sinnoh if we ever get remakes.
I completed my (third actually) livingdex during the lockdown... but this time I completed it as I dreamed: every Pokémon is a female, hidden ability and in a “matching” apriball / dreamball, in every form available. Sometimes I think of get out of the closet my old games and start filling those Pokédex too... in this way, I’ll have a “traveling” livingdex in Pokemon Home, and a “static” one in every save file (I’ll probably never do that).
@@raym.7271 Because the female pokémon always passes down the specie when you breed. And it's take less space in your boxes to only keep female pokémon and 1 or 2 males (or ditto) to breed with perfect iv.
Skyryx I tip my hat to that. Some of my living has actually egg moves (got them from trading online) , but I don’t have the patience to rebreed all of them (sometimes chain breeding) for moves.... As for the full special Pokeball, in most case I see only one or two actually ”fitting” with the Pokémon (because color or “theme”) so I limited myself to those :)

I almost had an entire living dex in Sword, and then my Switch stopped working. Despite begging Nintendo support to save my file they sent a refurb back with no save file. FYI, you cannot put save files for SwSh on the sd card and it did not have support for cloud saves.
Tough. That's life, get used to it. Lost 2 different 3ds's, had an almost complete alolan living dex on one, that was a tough blow for me in particular because I was super not a fan of Gen 7.
If you ever have to send your device in again you can transfer the account with your save files to another device then back to your console when you get it back.
DUDE. Wild. I just finished this (over a year long) journey too, I had no idea anyone else was crazy enough to catch every Pokémon in the regions/games they originated in. Kudos fellow 200% Pokédex master. 🙌🏻
So does the gift Porygon you get from the kid in the Isle of Armour expansion not count as a special requirement/ counting towards one of the Porygon lines? Or does it not because there’s only one?
You know, I was looking up just the oddity and how to get the mirage island and there should also be a gold star for the eon duo for catching them there. As you can also catch them on that island when they are roaming.
I think a neat addition or separate challenge would be to do a "ribbon" sort of challenge for forms that normally shouldn't have the ribbon. An example would have an Alolan Exeggutor with the "Champion Ribbon" from FRLG/RSE. You would have to not evolve it until Gen 7 and it would be a one of a kind Alolan Exeggutor with a ribbon(s) that it normally wouldn't have. Just food for thought for another challenge :)
I feel like a good challenge that could be added would be adding every regions regional dex with it going off of the newest game. Ex. Hoenn regionaldex would be based off of oras
Hello! Don't know if you'll see this, when you mentioned the Cianwood Tentacool, there's a guy at the house on the bottom left who gives you a Shuckle when you talk to him.. I'm on my Heartgold version and had only a Crobat in my party after Elite four with the rest of team in box.. Not sure if the Shuckle is the alternative to the Tentacool you mentioned.
I'm definitely going to one up this by playing through every single game ever and doing professor oak challenges in them all so I have every single different Pokemon caught in every single different type of way possible
I'm working on a shiny living dex, since I finished my shiny living dex for sword and shield. I'm mostly done with gens 1 and 2, going though platinum for a bunch of them right now. I'm about 75% done, the biggest part is going to be hunting for all of the legendaries that I need and the ultra beasts.
Goodness, Toby. That is one crazy full living dex. I'll honestly settle for just completing the gen 8 dex. I'm only missing the (currently unreleased) Crown Tundra mons and a handful of trade evos that don't appear in the wild! So close! >.
Congrats man, might try doing this myself. I haven't gotten my living dex to that, however I managed to get a shiny living dex Kanto through Alola. Working my way through the Galar mons and backtracking to get every form shiny (only mon I have every breedable form shiny is Vivillon, took 9 months of just breeding Scatterbugs and reseting games to have matching region set for specific pattern). Hardest ones to get were Manaphy, Tapus and Arceus, and the above mentioned Vivillon collection. About 85% have one of my OTs, with the others having various event OTs.
You know what is more challenging. Getting a perfect (and I mean perfect) Ditto. For me, I am trying to get a 6-IV Shiny Ditto with the hidden ability imposter and has the naughty nature (because why wouldn't I).
So with the OG 151, where did your Mew come from Toby? Mythical’s are the only ones I’m really struggling with right now because I refuse to have anything in the dex that doesn’t have my OT name and that I haven’t caught myself 😂 Far as I’m aware, the only way to get Mew right now is from a brand new Pokeball Plus right?
Toby, you are incredible, and a bigger fan than I. But I am just going to get 1 of every Pokémon variants included and a select few shinies, but I don't have the patience for all the specifics, I don't even have the patience to get a Melmetal. Which is why I hope and pray that there will be G-Max raids for it
Just something extra you can do, now you've got N's pokemon. Go through each game and obtain all the ingame Trade pokemon from NPCs. Get thier unique IDs and Trainer names. Potentially, also get an instance of each one in their evolutionary forms. It gets interesting when you factor in XD/Colloseum mons too. Also specific gifted pokemon that you get given to you in each game, Castform in the weather centre, Lapras in silph. Also in Sword, i got to play through twice to get the Yamask gift. So i can have one to evolve. Just something you could do as an addon.
I have a 2nd 3ds, but all virtual console games are on my main 3ds. Iirc I can't install games purchased on 1 account on 2 3ds systems at the same time, right? Or is there some way to do this? (Preferably with transfering save data so I don't have to play through a lot of the game again just for trading and breeding reasons)
Question! How do you transfer Pokemon eggs from Johto (Crystal) to Kanto (Yellow)? Do Pokemon transfered from Crystal to Yellow will say "meet at Kanto region" in Pokemon Home if uploaded from Yellow to Pokemon Bank?
Couple thoughts. 1. For porygon in the virtual console, why not just raise money with the missing no 6th item duplication cheat 2. I'm playing through crystal, and I'm intending to get the dratini from the dragon quiz thing, since it has extreme speed, doesn't that make it one of the rarest dratini's? 3. Your next challenge is a 6 Locke. You choose 6 pokemon in a select number of games, and your goal is to be the final boss in a nuzzlocke using only those 6 pokemon for battle. (You can use other pokemo up until you get the ones you've chosen, but then they take over in your team. If they faint, they are not dead, but ineligible to complete that specific game, you can use them in the other games. I've come up with 3 challenges 1. The first is to complete the gameboy games. That means you either play through red, blue or yellow, then you play through gold, silver, or crystal. You can only use the 6 pokemon you choose to be your team for this challenge. You win the game by defeating Red on mt. Silver. You can play both games simultaneously, if necessary, and trade your Pokemon back and forth. Of course you have to name your Pokemon, and the goal is to give you your ultimate game boy team. 2. This second begins in the gba games, ruby, saphire, or emerald. Now I'm not going to tell you how to modify it, but you can choose if you want to include fire red or leaf green. Then you move up to diamond, pearl, or platinum, then Heart Gold or Soul silver. This could be the end of the challenge with battling red on mt. Silver, but since there is the Unova region, you can take your team on to those games (although I know transferring doesn't work until post game, but it all depends on your team of 6 and how you want to modify it.) But then the final challenge would be defeating either black, 1 or 2, or white 1 or 2. Every elite 4 has to be beaten by as much of your team of 6 as you have available. 3. This challenge has multiple options. It starts with x or y, then goes to Omega Ruby, or Alpha Saphire. Then goes to ultra sun, or ultra moon. I exclude sun or moon because they don't have Ultimate Necrozma, and that really is the big boss for the third challenge. 4. Ultimate challenge. You combine it all... 6 Pokemon chosen from all the games, the game boy games have to be on virtual console, so you can transfer them up to the 3ds, and you can transfer up from gba all the way to ultra sun and moon. (Although pokedex limitations usually mean you have to beat the game before you can trade certain Pokemon, so you have to consider who you really want on your team, and how hard you want to work to make it happen. (Maybe the challenge should be you can add 1 Pokemon per game that you play, so you have a little bit of a bench you can pull from. To up the challenge, I'd want to add that you have to attempt to get the ribbons for your pokemon. Since you are working with so few, pokemon, you are making them out to be your closest partners, your ULTIMATE team with the most memories possible. Personalize them as much as possible. Completing the dex is about numbers, being the best is about teamwork and knowing your team. Another thought on the locke for this. Maybe it is a trainer locke, where it is only during trainer battles that your pokemon can't faint. They have to remain undefeated in battle against other trainers or they are disqualified from the competition. So wild battles can't knock you out. - also, of it is a true nuzzlocke, then one thought I had is that if a Pokemon you face in the game has god like powers, then that can be used to restore a pokemon. Like xerneas in Pokemon x. The life Pokemon, if you defeat it in battle, it can restore one of your dead Pokemon. Maybe that can also be true for other legendaries. Kyogre can revive a water type. Etc. Sadly one thing that is hard to account for are the levels. You will eventually have high level Pokemon that won't obey you in new games. This might be the one annoyance that ruins this challenge. Finally, this is about making your ultimate team, and about the story that goes with it. Take us on an adventure Poketuber! You have shown us that you can collect all the Pokemon that Game Freak and Nintendo seem special. Now collect the ones you find special... Finally, the goal is to make YOUR ultimate team of 6. What you are known for.
I haven’t seen this comment but apologies if it’s been made. I suppose a way to make it even harder is to add then rule that every Pokemon needs to show you as the original trainer (OT in the PokeDex) so each persons dex would show themselves as OT
I don’t know how you would view it. But I’m gonna do something special with my Gen 1 and 2 games physical cart. Where I get all the prize Pokémon from Pokémon stadium 1&2. So for example I will have to beat the elite 4 till I get three charmanders with the stadium ID and Stadium OT and transfer my save to the virtual console games. It’s pretty cool thing I’ve been working on
How do you feel about getting mew, jirachi and other mythical through glitches that don't require external hardware such as the fly glitch and glitzer popping
I am defiantly gonna do that for darkrai and shamin in gen 4, but for jirachi, Mew! Victimizers and Cellini, you have the option of Pokémon GO aswell, once they add GO to home transfer later this year There is also, i believe A guaranteed shiny eevee for doing challenges, i think there are a lot of places where it’s up to personal choice what you do.
I can think of a few special cases you didn't mention: The Friday Lapras from Johto? How about getting an Old Amber in Kalos from smashing rocks in Glittering Cave so you can get a Kalos Aerodactyl? I think you can also encounter a Rotom in the ruined hotel in Kalos, but like... only on certain days? And for Galar: in Galar Mine no 2 there's an overworld Gastrodon in a side path that you need the water bike to get... I've caught it and I've yet to see it respawn. Like, at all! Not unlike the Lv 80 Wailord from the Isle of Armor that could be a special case. And finally, all the Diglett hunt Pokémon! I think wild Kingdra and wild Milotic are very rare encounters as well in Galar that might be worth hunting for? Just a thought.
I'm slowly making a living Dex, but right now it's only Galar + Isle of Armor that's complete, but the good news is that is technically over half of the National Dex! Small victory!
My biggest question is...is your shucker the one from Kirk? The one where he gives it to you and then asks for it back later but can be kept if you have high friendship?
So like are you going to update this for BDSP and PLA? Like I see the spreadsheet has been updated for The Crown Tundra. Also I know an even easier way to get coins in the Gen 1 VC, but you could theoretically ban it. Use a little thing called the Old Man glitch to encounter Missingno. which will give you 128 of your sixth item. Put a Nugget there, and... you can see where I'm going with this.
One of the gen 4 starters should be what you get from completing the dex in pokemon Emerald (I got the idea cuz I just watched you 20 ruby/sapphire/emerald/oras easter eggs video and remembered watching this a couple days ago)

A Pokedex with Pokemon from everywhere... the ultimate Pokemon master....
I'll obviously never do it...
It’s doable cause Pokémon home holds 6000 mons and you would need 2597 ish without all forms
"Is yours going to be better than mine?"
Hahahahaha no
Man sucks that Spike ear Pichu and AZ’s Floette won’t be apart of that collection again still gonna be waiting for X and Y remakes to hopefully get AZ’s Floette
Did you know that AZ's Floette and its signature move are still in Swosh's code? They've never once been used at all, and have been in the code of every mainline Pokémon game since X and Y.
Hostius Hostilius yeah I’ve know that it’s also said that steel beam I think that’s the name of the move using the same animation as AZ’s Floette signature move if I remember correctly
@@Bellboyce yeah it's basically the same.
what I love about a living poke-dex is that each pokemon has its own story to tell!! where it came from, from whom, from which even, etc!!
Congratulations on completing the challenge! I can't believe you've managed this and I've only completed 2 pokedexes in 20 years and that took most of my sanity. You're crazy for pulling this off.
I seriously love you for including all the redundancy with the forms because its just so beautiful to look at
also i have been obsessed with this challenge ever since i saw this and im probably about 1/3 of the way through after maybe 2 or 3 weeks
Nice enjoy your journey :D
I will! Already am! I’m even being hard on myself and making sure the gender variants are from the appropriate region too! If I can avoid the little shortcuts you mention, I will. 😅
too bad masuda method was only added in Gen 4 :P
Dude, a lot of respect. I'm a long time fan of the games, I think I might have completed the Pokedex once. I bow down to your dedication. If I could, I'd shake your hand. So much respect man.
I didn't expect this video to come out so soon, but I admire this challenge! I'm still working on it actually, just got to obtain a few Pokemon, and hopefully I'll get to make a video of my own!
Good luck you got this ^_^
I have a living dex and am currently looking at forms but WOW I don't think I can go this far.
@4:17
You're missing a male variant butterfree from gen 1, lad...
And before anyone else comments about how gender wasnt in gen 1, when you bring a gen 1 pokemon that isnt gender locked or gender locked into pokemon bank it's their attack IVs that determine what gender it will be assigned.
my therapist: "BlasChuZard isnt real and can't hurt you"
BlasChuZard: 7:12
Lugi-OhCune Is also freaky looking
Me: "Yes, after all this time I finally own all 893 Pokemon!"
Toby: "Hold my 200% pokedex"
Are you still doing this? I'd love to see an updated video now that there's been the SwSh DLC, BDSP, PLA and , SV.
This whole video was basically just Toby flexing on us XD
Well, that must be one of the most mindblowingly time intensive task I've seen completed in Pokemon. Really only rivaled by a full shiny living dex. Sometimes I wish I could go back and start this kind of thing earlier, and naturally arriving at a similar dex. Especially with the (f ing stupid) event giveaway mons, that are just not gonna be available again ever, and can't be caught in any game.
I remember getting all the vivillon forms back when X&Y were first out. It took about 2 weeks, but it was worth it.
You must catch every pokemons forms
Spinda: I'm about to end this man's whole career
The Gible in the main dex should be the one from Black 2, dunno why he didn’t mention it
Your spirit is part of what keeps playing Pokémon fun, Toby ☆
Glad to know I've already automatically got myself a good few gold stars with the Vivillon, Munchlax, Manaphy, whatever event Pokémon there are..
Bird Keeper Toby a UK resident decides to release a video at nearly midnight BST weird flex but i take it XD
Is that a felx? Just reads as unhealthy to me haha
Wow that’s impressive! I’m almost done working on a living form dex, but I haven’t done any of making sure which games they were from. Well done!
My lockdown project was completing the Pokedex, somehow managed it and was soooo happy, I now see Toby did the same but on steroids lmaooo
Congrats!
12:11 I find this hilarious cuz my first pokemon to appear from a honey tree on my 1st Sinnoh playthrough was Munchlax.
I'm trying to do this, but with perfect IV and 4 egg moves on top of that. ^w^ And in all the rare pokeballs (apricorns, beast, dream, safari, sport).
Why all female?
@@raym.7271 Because the female pokémon always passes down the specie when you breed. And it's take less space in your boxes to only keep female pokémon and 1 or 2 males (or ditto) to breed with perfect iv.
Ray M. Simply because female Pokemon have a higher chance of pass the Hidden Ability to the offspring (on top of the species)
2:11 "Pokémon Whack version 2"
Ok, I laughed way too much at that.
How do you get Mew on virtual console gen 1?
For this challenge Mew comes from the Pokeball Go Plus ^_^
Bird Keeper Toby hmm mine is through the r/b glitch, think that counts?
@@BirdKeeperToby "...there's a little gameboy symbol next to the pokemon. This is because they've all come from virtual console pokemon red, blue, or yellow....all of the first 151 pokemon are just like this, all the way from bulbasaur through to mew"
@@octaviawright625 Yes that's what made me ask 😅
When they add GO to HOME transfer you can bring the mew from go,
That is if you do the annoyingly long challenges to get it
I didn't get them from their native regions, but I have all pokemon, all forms, all gender variants.. and I am very proud of that... that's cool you've gotten them all from their native regions though cudos my man
I almost had an entire living dex in Sword, and then my Switch stopped working.
So I personally love Pay Day in terms of money making in Gen 1 as you just need to walk into tall grass or a zubat cave, and start one shoting.
Never been this early before! Have a good day everybody 🥳
Twisting Dervole me to
Twisting Dervole you too
Thank you
So for G-Mr. Mime and Mr. Rime, they have to come from DPPl?
DUDE. Wild. I just finished this (over a year long) journey too, I had no idea anyone else was crazy enough to catch every Pokémon in the regions/games they originated in. Kudos fellow 200% Pokédex master. 🙌🏻
So you started at 0 one year ago?
Now do it all again but every variant needs to be shiny
I feel like a good challenge that could be added would be adding every regions regional dex with it going off of the newest game. Ex. Hoenn regionaldex would be based off of oras
I'ma need to see your spinda variants
now that I've seen it, I can't unsee it. Bird Keeper Toby is what happens when Michael Reeves hits lvl 16
Now get all 8 billion Spinda.
This is something I would do.
Congrats, I can see a lot of thought and effort went into this.
Cool video and I am very impressed you completed the living Pokédex
Goodness, Toby. That is one crazy full living dex. I'll honestly settle for just completing the gen 8 dex. I'm only missing the (currently unreleased) Crown Tundra mons and a handful of trade evos that don't appear in the wild! So close! >.
I can help with the trade evos if you want :D
Maybe you should try beating all the battle facilities for a new challenge maybe see how competitive changed from generation to generation
That is such an undertaking good job man
Never thought I would see the son of Wilbur Soot and Michael Reeves play Pokemon
Wait...
WAIT NO-
WAIT
The Pokemon Company needs to Certify you as a Professor. Professor Toby!
That’s serious dedication, GG! Now onto the shiny forms...
9:01 - I didn't even know they could run out...makes sense but...I didn't know.
is my emerald copy gonna stop saving soon?
Which is why I hope and pray that there will be G-Max raids for it
I’m doing my best to complete Go’s dex. I can’t IMAGINE doing it in the legit games. Big props to you, though!
I’ve done the genders and version variants since way back in XY. Only thing I’d change is your categorization style, but it’s very intriguing
Toby reminding us that with enough focus, you can get the craziest achievements done.
1. For porygon in the virtual console, why not just raise money with the missing no 6th item duplication cheat
I've come up with 3 challenges
2:11 gotta love how bw2’s combined logo is Pokémon Whack 2
I haven’t seen this comment but apologies if it’s been made. I suppose a way to make it even harder is to add then rule that every Pokemon needs to show you as the original trainer (OT in the PokeDex) so each persons dex would show themselves as OT
My plan is to have a living dex + all regionals and g-max forms, as well as all forms that make a difference in battle (different stats/moves etc.)
How'd you get your virtual console mew? I know you can do the mew glitch still, but I thought that it was marked as illegal by the Poke Transporter?
Did you get Jorachi from the pokemon colosseum bonus disc? I thought that would definitely be brought up.
Did you get the My Pokemon Ranch Phione and Mew and also the 3 gift pokemon from Battle Revolution?
You still need to get all Spinda patterns and all Alcremie formes lol
Victimizers and Cellini, you have the option of Pokémon GO aswell, once they add GO to home transfer later this year
There is also, i believe A guaranteed shiny eevee for doing challenges, i think there are a lot of places where it’s up to personal choice what you do.
Get ready for the spindadex
So like are you going to update this for BDSP and PLA? Like I see the spreadsheet has been updated for The Crown Tundra.
Also I know an even easier way to get coins in the Gen 1 VC, but you could theoretically ban it. Use a little thing called the Old Man glitch to encounter Missingno. which will give you 128 of your sixth item. Put a Nugget there, and... you can see where I'm going with this.
Up dates coming soon :D
That's an impressive collection, pal!
May I ask which Mew is the one you decided to pick? I guess there is no other option then the first gen "glitch"
Intermediate Pokédex challenge idea, as an alternative to the shiny living dex - The Hidden Ability Living Dex
Random Question, does the Celebi from the Japanese Pokémon Colosseum Bonus Disc count toward this Challenge?
One of the gen 4 starters should be what you get from completing the dex in pokemon Emerald (I got the idea cuz I just watched you 20 ruby/sapphire/emerald/oras easter eggs video and remembered watching this a couple days ago)
