Really great thank you. This is the most straightforward intro to the game I’ve seen and was super informative as someone who collects but has never played. Would love to see more like this!

After 25 years of playing Pokémon gen 1-9 and currently 33 I am trying something new. Just having fun not planning on entering tournaments
I’m 35 and just played in my first tournament this week at a pre-release event! It was a fun little taste of what could be, but I’m eager to learn more and know my stuff so it’ll be even more fun!

As an Ex Yugioh player, i can vouch that Pokemon is much more new player friendly and super easy and cheap to get into. Shipping costs suck for TCGplayer though

we'll there is enough to keep you busy. i bought two deluxe battle decks to have the play mats rather having a bunch of other stuff I'm not sure is used on a tcg battle
Quick question, if I have 3 energy cards in my hand, can I attach one to each active/bench pokemon in one go? Or is it strictly one energy per turn period?
One energy per turn from your hand to one Pokemon (unless another card or a Pokémon’s “Ability” specifically says you can add more energies)

So this year in competitive could we still use v-max pokemon/cards with the D marking?

it does protect your bench from Cresselia’s Moonglow Reverse, but not your Active Pokémon
Pokémon was always more popular playing the games and collecting the tcg.
Whereas Yugioh was more popular actually dueling instead of collecting.

As much as I love playing competitive! The prizing is so trash😂 Pokémon is a 100 billion dollar company! They really need to set up and start adding some more cash prizing! It’s not cheap to travel around to play Pokémon cards 😂
