Pinning some useful tips courtesy of the comments section (thanks guys and gals!): - To loot faster, push tab + space to loot all. - Gacha boxes are a great source of weapons when you're still early in the game. You can find 1 in scorched enclave every run (check out the money farm video in the description for the spawns). - Your deathbox can stack. As someone put it... if you die with guns A and B, then take in guns C and D next and manage to grab that death box but die before extracting, now your death box holds all 4 guns ABCD. - You can backstab/execute SOME enemies when you sneak up behind them. Your crosshairs will turn into a skull icon indicating you're in range. - Melee attacks are kinda niche but sometimes can help quietly take down an enemy (as melee attacks can stun lock humanoid enemies) - More of a fun fact, but NPC recruits do not lower your faction reputation for their kills
Very situational, but can easily save your life: don't forget to use your melee skill. It's enough to 1-2 tap cyborgs. And you can kill enemy soldiets in total silence (either silent kill from behind or just melee them to death if you 1v1) VERY important if you new and/or want to farm some free guns: on a Scorched Enclave map spawns "gacha box", which can contain up to 7 fully functional guns. It looks almost the same as a "large lockbox", but when you grab it you'll hear very familiar "cachiiiing" sound.) After this yout top priority became "successfull extraction". Don't forget to click "open all boxes" button on the mission debriefing screen or find your gacha box in loadout screen.
I randomly like to melee the crawling cyborgs just because it satisfyingly one-taps them lol. Gachas are a great thing for new players to go after too; I was debating on throwing it in this video but I already covered that in a previous video and thought it'd be bad to repeat myself on the topic. In hindsight it wouldn't have been a bad idea though.
If you grab your "death box" and die again, it will still contain the items from your original death (and all following ones) so as long as you reach your "grave" you can die as many times as you (don't) want.
I never noticed that, that's pretty huge actually. I've always just given up on the death boxes after I fail to recover the main one (since my 'recovery run' is normally a trash kit)
Worth mentioning that if you recover your death box without extracting, you can then go in again and recover it and keep stacking the stuff you'll eventually recover. So for example, if I go in with guns A and B and then die, I then go in with guns C and D and recover the death bundle with guns A and B but die before extracting. If I then go in with guns E and F and recover the death bundle and extract I would get all of guns A,B,C and D back. I was personally pleasantly surprised when I discovered this the first time
You covered mostly everything, some tips i could add : Tab + space is actually Loot all shortcut, some enemy info i also got - the hunter dog is close to unkillabe 95~ GL shots, he is a small enemy and it's very deceiving, same with the Ogramech brawler, From the big enemeis normal exo 6-7 GL shots, Medium exo 15-20 GL shots, normal tank 3-4 GL's , Corpse tank 15-20Gl's, heli is is also around 5-7. Be sure to stock up on ammo when you can, at tier 3 surplus is free, you can also pile up alot of broken weapons and repair them while doing scrapyard nexus farming runs. Be sure to pop healing when you get hit dont wait to get out of combat, and a small one, there is actually a dash in this game with left ctrl and you can rebind it to something comfier.
Dang, I've heard that they're actually kill-able but just have ridiculous HP bars but I never thought it'd be almost 100 GL shots, kudos for actually sitting there and finding it out lol. Also huge tip on the loot all shortcut, I was told that it was just spacebar a few times but that never worked so thought it was just a lie
Tab_space WHAT??? All this time I've been saying they needed a hotkey or just default the cursor to be on the "loot all" button when a container is opened.
If you sneak behind an enemy, a skull icon will appear letting you tap melee for silent assassination. Cool and different animations for each character
I've noticed that if you have the Risky Cargo quest active when you exit the game. When you return back to the game you will have both the Risky Cargo quest and an extra quest asking for a barrel. Essentially all you need to do is extract with at least 1 explosive and you can complete the "bonus" quest and again to complete Risky cargo (or just extract with 2 explosives at once).
I've noticed that a few times too, but never found out why it happened. Cool little bug for now that lets you get a little extra out of your risky cargo I guess
Tip I wish I knew sooner, If you pick up and extract with destroyed guns, instead of selling the destroyed guns you can put them back on your rig and if you extract with them again they will be functional. The now functional guns can be sold for more money or can save you from having to buy replacements.
I'm curious about that because when you extract the second time with the guns they say something along the lines of "successfully extracting with weapon will make it functional", if you hover your cursor over it.
@@tyco430 Yea it changes it from a "destroyed gun" (tooltip says only good for being sold) to a "disabled gun" (repairs on extract) when you bring the destroyed gun into a new raid. Makes me think it's a bug else the destroyed gun tooltip would tell you it has more purpose past being sold, especially if it's fixable
The vendoring to faction giving rep is a huge tip. I used to vendor all the time (when I was poor) and was max rank with all the folks, now I stopped vendoring because I'm rich and couldn't figure out how to get rep since quests barely move anything (if at all)!
Yea it's a little OP considering how little the quests do for your rep. Hopefully they rework it down the line so that 10k of goods won't make up for the fact you just took down that faction's big boss 🤣
Death boxes stack as long as you get to them before you die again, so prioritize grabbing yours on spawn. I’ve picked up 3x of my remains in a row. Don’t know how far that goes. Edit: Oops everyone said that.
That's actually something I never thought of... I looked back at previous footage and clearly found a part where the gunners took out 2 cyborgs and my reputation didn't budge.. So no they do not affect your reputation for things they kill
Does your "deathbox" get restored to your stockpiles immediately or do you have to extract with it for it to be recovered? Another tip is that the mission Hunt the Hunters gives 1500XP for killing two HK's and retrieving their components. This makes for a very lucrative farm run on the Trenches map combined with Pull the Plug and Thief in the Night. Edit: Note that the silencer on the SVG upgraded barrel does not seem to work currently. Neither does the built-in one on the Kriss Vector.
@@yewnitedgaming I figured they would as well, with a game like this it just begs for it. I get tired of those idiots who keep whining on and on about having some sort of easy mode but I don't hear that noise.
@BeachTypeZaku absolutely love the game but dislike the water system. I don't always have the time, want to play, or wanna play something else. If thier video calling out other games for stuff(which I loved). Then kinda make it where I have to get on at least once every 4 days, is it kinda hypocritical. Well, I've missed it a few times by accident, and don't want a game saying get on by my time. Not yours. Other than that no gripes
Can someone comment on my comment when the game is optimized for more PC specs cause right now I only get the "Game is already running" problem, thank you

The best beginner tip I know is that the surplus shotgun makes you THAT GUY.
AA12 I think makes you that guy, surplus is the best tool for survival early game though
surplus shotgun slaps 100%. Shame we don't get 'surplus buckshot' to go with it
It makes you THAT GUY, at roughly 12 ft and closer.
I'm kidding, I love the shotgun

Hmm, have you tested that thoroughly to confirm that's accurate?
Yes, I have found this on failed recovery attempts where I got the dropped rig & weapon parts but died after.
Well I got to my grave collected it and died in the same run and didn't got anything back

That's a really great way to put it!
I remember a guy complaining about how your stuff disappeared when you pick the box up, its just invisible so i can see why he was pissed 😂
@@elgringofeo9348 yea they definitely should make an indicator for when you've recovered your death box

scav girl's one is brutal so I've heard

I found eurasian supply crates in scrap nexus with this quest, a large lock box thats a little cheaper

took me 20 hours to noticed that i can actually recover my loot, rip to few GL's xD

Also there are backstabs in this game.
Each character has a different (or will have) backstab animation too; scav girl's one is pretty brutal according to my friend.
I’m pretty sure you press V to do it, considering that’s the melee button.
Death boxes stack as long as you get to them before you die again, so prioritize grabbing yours on spawn. I’ve picked up 3x of my remains in a row. Don’t know how far that goes.

My tip is to befriend the factions and through the power of friendship rule the wasteland with an iron grip.
Through the power of friendship and heavy weaponry

how do you get the ui to show who you are aiming at? Mine just says TGT?
If you hit the ping button (default button is 'Z' I think) while aiming at something it'll pop up with the enemy name/loot item/etc.
@@yewnitedgaming Thank you
buying and selling back their own guns will also increase rep for that faction LOL
true, and you resell the guns for like 90% of it's value so it's not much of a loss
