Oh I just realized the coolest thing to add to the next monster hunter game. Have it to where if you capture a monster you can unleash it in the training room, then, you are able to practice on specific monsters you've already capture before. And maybe add settings in it too, like being able to make the monster or your health infinite, infinite sharpness and ammo, infinite wirebugs, etc. Due to how static and the original training dummy is its more monotonous to train up something, but if you could fight real monsters and set parameters to help with said practice you could learn so much about monster attack patterns, different weapons with their positioning, timing, when to use what combo, etc.

Honestly the two things I wish they kept from world are the ability to reorganize your item wheel thing (the one where you swop between items with y and a), and the page that allows you to see which parts are breakable on a certain monster
It makes the game arguably 10 times better, just that alone I rather have a shorter game thats constantly good instead of one that drags out with annoying stuff
I like this game's even more streamlined hunting process, but I kinda missed some of MHW's small touches that this game didn't keep, like monster introduction cutscenes with your character in it, a functional blacksmith workshop (and other buildings) that you can see, wildlife that you can catch as pets, hunting guild's aesthetic changes during events(although this one could change in the future, given that rise is new and doesn't have an event yet), being able to observe captured monsters in your village, etc. Also, while MHW went lazy on the weapon designs, rise slacked off on armour designs, all armour sets have only a low rank and a high rank version, and there's no aesthetic changes between the two versions. Please rectify this mistake in the future Capcom and give us access to every armour sets as layered amour as soon as possible. You are breaking us fashion hunters' heart.

Update for those just seeing this video: Rise just got its 2.0 update released today, with 3.0 coming in late May. A bunch of new monsters have been added, and the HR cap that Scott mentioned is now unlocked, so the endgame HR grind is a thing now. 3.0 will have new monsters and continue the story. And based on this pattern, there’s a chance we’ll keep getting updates. And if World is any indication, we’ll probably get an expansion like Iceborne, possibly before or when the PC port is released early next year.
I have well over 140 hours and still loving it. I do wish we had more monsters and more grind for the armor. It's a little to easy for veteran players. I've played mh since mh2 and everyone since then to completion. But I'm glad more people are getting into the series.
I like World more, but Rise definitely makes some good improvements, like more varied monster types the wirebug movement, the ability to switch up weapon abilities, and DOGS.

When someone randomly cuts away from the pummeling to set a trap to cap a monster that everyone is obviously attempting to kill, you can tell right away that their first MH game was World :/
You can try to avoid this by just telling them not to capture. They don’t _always_ listen, but sometimes it works. Or if they’re Japanese players, just go into Google Translate and set up a few messages that say “Don’t capture it!” It’s definitely helped me a few times.
@@s.bregnest2857 That's true, but killing is the default, even to the developers. There's a premade message for "Let's catch this thing!", but not, "Let's kill this thing!" Oh I just realized the coolest thing to add to the next monster hunter game.

Monster Hunter Rise, FEATURING DANTE FROM THE DEVIL MAY CRY SERIES

When you enjoy the insect glaive, but wonder what is more shady.

It’s so frustrating when I’m hosting a hunt and someone captures it
When someone randomly cuts away from the pummeling to set a trap to cap a monster that everyone is obviously attempting to kill, you can tell right away that their first MH game was World :/
You can try to avoid this by just telling them not to capture. They don’t _always_ listen, but sometimes it works.
Or if they’re Japanese players, just go into Google Translate and set up a few messages that say “Don’t capture it!”
It’s definitely helped me a few times.
@@s.bregnest2857 That's true, but killing is the default, even to the developers. There's a premade message for "Let's catch this thing!", but not, "Let's kill this thing!"
Also, there are players who speak Chinese, Korean, Spanish, and many other languages where, "Don't catch it!" isn't easy to understand in English, so you'd have to have it in multiple languages, which is just unnecessarily cumbersome :(

Expert move: Accurately animating the adorable nature of the palico, palamute, and Dango Princess. Then making the twins seductive and beautiful. All the while cheaply throwing in the handler from World like a cut out with MUCH less effort to signify how little effort you believe they put into that character.
Well done Scott, the sole reason I didn't buy Iceborne was the fact that we couldn't keep the serious handler and stuck with an extremely ugly version of Patrick Star.
i didnt mind the handler and i loved mhw, the only glaring issue was the lack of names and over all development for the extended characters. like I get that its not the focus but ATLEAST give them names bro- come on.
I wouldn't say she's Patrick, she's more like an indoor cat going outside: Constantly fumbling without someone to let her know where to go and staring at everything aimlessly
I didn’t mind the Handler nearly as much as other people, (save for the Deviljo special assignment in base World, that was just moronic of her especially seeing as she KNOWS what Deviljo tracks look like and there are footprints and a carcass like 5 feet away from her) but sweet Lord are the twins just better in every way
