The fact that Ishvalda always looks at the screen and never at your character, knowing that you, the player, exists, gives me more chills than Hoarfrost reach.
To this day, I have always thought the greatest detail in this animation is the water spilling on to the map. It perfectly encapsulates the unnecessarily detailed chaos that these animations are.

I'd be perfectly fine if it only implied they just aren't on your level or need to keep the weaker monsters in check while you do your job. Like how in the end of the Witcher 3 mission they say you've been single handedly keeping ALL the monsters out of the forest to give Geralt an easier time. The problem arises when mission dialogue is all "HUNTERS! TOGETHER WE SHALL DEFEAT HIM!" and then its literally just you and nobody else. The Huntsman saying its a "race" between the two of you to kill Teostra but he doesn't even show up, and the worst is when there's a total of 5 other people helping in the siege to stop Zorah Magdaros from destroying the entire continent.
@@OGXenos To be fair, most of the mhw storyline very much makes it sound like you're the only one who has any semblance of a chance at pulling this off. The two main times characters canonically try to help (seeker and admiral with xeno, Aiden with fatty), they get annihilated. I imagine that's why the player's hunter gets the presumably legendary title of Sapphire Star.

Shara Ishvalda is a creature that uses sound vibrations to dig, and ended up giving essentially every nonhuman creature on a continent a severe case of full body Tinnitus. It's also based off trees it seems, its tail looks like roots and its wings branches, the head a Lotus flower. It also coats itself in Rocky armor due to being sticky. Monster Hunter has some really interesting Ecology.

I want a mod that plays the instrumental before Shara Ishvalda's armor breaks, then starts the vocals on loop after the shell's broken. It needs to happen, not that the actual battle theme is bad! I want to kill monsters to some sick beats.
I like how the fact that the ripples go to the beat of the song implies that the song Shara is rapping is audible IN ITS ENTIRETY. The rap, beat, melody and everything else is audible, and that’s great.

If you put on your tinfoil hat, the map/spiral is a reference to a 1957 B monster movie called "The Giant Claw." I have a video about it on my channel.
It's actually pretty coherent if you think about how it's shown in the game. They're tracking where the song was heard and where the seismic activity happened in chronological order, which has a spiral pattern. They then extrapolate the pattern to find the origin. That's... pretty logically sound and coherent.

You fear for the future of this video too. I understand as well. Just recently SA MHW 3 got the Megumi Explosion segment altered because of copyright(even though it was in fair use).
The bestworst part about this is how accurate it is. Huntsman with his doofy-ass full set of Rathian gear is still the only NPC who's actually fought a monster. They should upgrade him to gold Rathian.
He doesn't need armor since he evades every single hit with Foresight Slash and god-tier dodging, so his armor is an aesthetic choice. He actually made it from the corpse of his old lover, a Rathian. The only woman strong enough to handle his 'unsheathed blade'.
Borderlands 3 did it worse, your character does all the work then all cutscenes act like you were never even there and the side character take credit for actually "killing" the boss.
It's been two years and I still come back to read the comment saying that it's been two years and they still come back to see the dragon spit hot fire literally and metaphorically.

World could have learned a lot from 4U. I'd say what we got in World but you can't actually join the quest to find out what we got in World until I'm halfway done with it and have sat through the absolutely pointless unskippable cutscene, whoops.

If you put on your tinfoil hat, the map/spiral is a reference to a 1957 B monster movie called "The Giant Claw." I have a video about it on my channel.
It's actually pretty coherent if you think about how it's shown in the game. They're tracking where the song was heard and where the seismic activity happened in chronological order, which has a spiral pattern. They then extrapolate the pattern to find the origin. That's... pretty logically sound and coherent.
It might have been an intentional funny. Haven't got that far yet to hazard a real guess

World could have learned a lot from 4U. I'd say what we got in World but you can't actually join the quest to find out what we got in World until I'm halfway done with it and have sat through the absolutely pointless unskippable cutscene, whoops.
